Yummy coleslaw ! This coleslaw was so easy to find in the pre made salad section in Woolworths. My hubby, daughter and I tried the coleslaw as a side dish with meat. My comment “ YUM “. I really like it. The carrots and cabbage are all cut to the same size and the dressing is plentiful which I love. Daughter isn’t a fan. Hubby said it has slightly too much dressing for him. The size of the container is great. Made in Australia also great. Use by 2 days of opening which we stretched slightly with no problems. The last bit I used in a chicken, avocado, cheese, coleslaw sandwich. Result YUM !. I really liked this product and will buy it again. For a large gathering I would look for a larger portion size. Thank you Woolworths and Bunch for the lovely sample.

Better the coleslaw you know. I’m more of a potato salad person than coleslaw, but I’d eat coleslaw if it was offered to me. I thought I’d try this coleslaw sample with a bbq chicken and roast veggies and it was a great classic combo. The coleslaw was crunchy and tasty and was sweet and not tangy. It costs $4. 50 for the 400g pack. I think the price is reasonable considering you’d have to buy, chop and prep the veggies and make a dressing. The packaging says Australian cabbage and is made in Australia. It had a sturdy plastic film seal which came off in one clean pullafter I opened the lid. The packaging is a solid transparent plastic container and allows you to see what you’re buying and also to transport it easily for picnics, parks and bbqs etc. I liked the ... MoreBetter the coleslaw you know. I bought it on the 16 and best before was 21, so plenty of time to eat it. I never bothered to make coleslaw at home so I’d be happy to purchase instead of my usual potato salad. I also had it in a Turkish bread roll with salad leaves, leftover bbq chicken and it was really good. Really appreciate this sample as it’s got me thinking to buy coleslaw again in the coming months.

Side salad which is great for BBQ’s or picnic . I purchase this coleslaw regularly. We like the taste & texture of it. It has finely shredded cabbage, carrot and spring onions, in a creamy mayonnaise dressing. The vegetables are crunchy, while the mayonnaise has a slight sweet, tangy taste to it. Coleslaw is easy to make at home, but I like the convenience of being able to buy it when in a hurry. Perfect during the hot summer months, to serve along side a bbq or take along to a picnic Great 400g serving size, which serves 3 - 4 people easily as a side. 3. 5 Health star rating. Once opened, this must be consumed in 2 days. Thanks for this sample, as it’s one I will continue to purchase when needed.

A Classic Coleslaw. This coleslaw smelt fresh & tasted lovely! Everything was evenly shredded & there was a nice amount of mayonnaise. We are no stranger to Woolworths Coleslaw but this one did seem creamier & zingier than usual. This pack is good a size for a small family to have a meal with this as a side serving. As far as prepacked salads go in our house coleslaw is certainly a favourite. It’s great to see that this is made in Australia from at least 94% Australian ingredients, although I would’ve liked to have seen a Health Star Rating on this product as it did not come with one. It is a tad on the dearer side at $4. 50, especially when you consider that you could spend $1. 50 more to get double the quantity with the 800g option. Okay. I find this to be my go to for a quick salad for a BBQ. I don't mind it - tho a little too much Mayo for my liking. I usually buy the $2 coleslaw shredded veg to add and mix it all around. Makes it bigger and enough for 4 sides too. if I'm not having it as a side I find it goes very well in burgers or with some roast meat in a roll or bread. a nice crunch to it as long as it's not on its last days until used by. Easy enough to find, and two different sizes. Very convienent. Home made is always going to be better, but for when I don't have time this is for us. Easy to open package and Aussie cabbage used. It doesn't have the Aussie % labled but I say by the wording 'Australian cabbage WITH carrots and spring onion and mayo' that it may only be the cabbage ... MoreOkay. Has the recipe changed over the years? This used to be a favourite but I bought some the other day, after not having for ages, to go with a hot roast chook on bread rolls..... It wasn't' as good as I remember so not sure but thing the recipe might have changed? It was a couple of days until used by so was definitely fresh but kind of left a bit of a zing tingle when eating it. I also found I had an upset stomach afterwards on both day that I had some, same zing each time. I had it the second day as it was too expensive to waste and just to see if it had same effect and it did. So not sure if the recipe has changes or if just my tolerance to an ingredient. Unfortunately it will be skip for me for future purchases just in case.

Convenient but there's better. I found Woolies classic coleslaw to be a convenient and quick way to put up a salad. But I didn't find the dressing creamy as described. The product is more so semi pickled so it actually has a strong vinegar taste. I much prefer to purchase Woolies fresh salad bags where they have differentiating coleslaw varieties and it tastes more of the classic creamy styles of coleslaw that my mum use to make to me. The 400g tub costs $4. 00 and is recommended to feed 3 people. The 800g tub is only $1. 50 more and would be better value for money if feeding a larger group. I really liked the shape of the tub. It is a more modern squarish tub over the traditional round style. There is no need to transfer the salad into a fancy bowl as it looks ... MoreConvenient but there's better. The carrot and cabbage ratios were spot on. Even though I do perfer a different style of coleslaw, I would consider purchasing in the future as its a quick & easy salad to go with a Woolies roast chicken on a lazy day.

Usual coleslaw. This pre made product comes in a small family size of 400gm, with a 3. 5 star health rating. It is made from 98% Australian ingredients and is made in Australia for a reasonable price. The outside packaging can be recycled, with the thin seal being discarded as rubbish. It would be great if the full packaging could be recycled. It also had a good shelf life of just under a week, with it suggesting to be consumed within 2 days of opening if you had leftovers. I think an addition of shredded apple would take the item a bit further with taste and uniqueness, but it was still enjoyable. Good for a picnic bbq or a convenient side, but I will stick to making my own coleslaw for now.

I may change my mind about coleslaw . I have never been much of a coleslaw (or even salad) person - my go to side option is mashed potato and gravy or chips. Having had too many coleslaw where all I can taste is onion and Mayo with that limp, mushy texture I tend to avoid them, but was happy to give them another chance when I got it as my bunch sample. We served it with a roast chook and I was actually pleasantly surprised! The Mayo taste wasn’t overpowering, I could actually taste the veggies and they were still nice and crunchy and crisp!I liked that you can actually see the different veg in the coleslaw and they’re decently sized (not shredded/diced to within an inch of their life like some coleslaws I’ve tried). Crisp and creamy. This coleslaw was really enjoyable to eat. It was creamy with a nice tang, the veg were nice and crisp adding a nice crunch, the spring onion was there but wasn’t overpowering and it was overall refreshing. The veg were quite uniform in size and I didn’t get any big chunks and the mixture was fairly even. It actually tasted like the coleslaw that you would get at KFC. A very tasty side dish. An odd pairing but I had this on the side of my spicy noodles and it helped cool my mouth down . The film on the tub was a little difficult to take off, but the tub itself was sturdy and the lid open and closed well, keeping any leftovers fresh. One thing I am a little confused about is that the label mentions Australian cabbage is used along with the other veg, but does this mean all the veg is Australian or just the cabbage? It’s not overly clear in my opinion, maybe it could be worded a little differently? I would assume all the veg is Australian since it contains 98% Australian ingredients. This is a great size tub for 2 people, if having on the side. I would probably purchase this one again.
