Enhance Your Seafood. I tried the Woolworths Dill Seasoning on my fish and I was pleasantly surprised with how well it enhanced the flavor. The seasoning is incredibly easy to use and the 10g size is perfect for keeping in my pantry. I appreciated the convenience of the shaker top. The dill flavor was not overpowering but added a subtle hint of freshness to my fish. I also love that this seasoning contains no added preservatives or MSG. The only reason I am not giving this product a 5-star review is because it is difficult to control output of the herbs. Other than that, I highly recommend Woolworths Dill Seasoning for anyone looking for an easy and delicious way to enhance their seafood dishes.

Good to try. The Dill comes in a glass bottle and costs $2. 10 for the 10g bottle. It has a paper sticker seal which is easy to peel off. There was a bit of dill stuck onto the inside of the seal and I couldn’t scrape or remove this from the seal. I normally buy fresh dill for using with scrambled eggs. I sprinkled a good amount onto my scrambled egg and had with my fried rice. I also used this dill sample in my chenna dal fritters which I served with coconut chutney and coriander chutney. The dill gives a good colour to the food. It didn’t taste like fresh dill and I couldn’t really taste it even in my lavish sprinkle on my eggs. The dill is grown in Serbia and packed in Australia. Handy in the pantry. The 10g jar of Woolworths Dill was easy enough to spot on the shelf amongst the dozens of jars of herbs and spices. Dill is a herb I obviously don’t use enough of because I didn’t have any in the pantry and I can’t remember the last bunch of fresh dill I bought. So, I set about using some of the dill in a variety of dishes. I know dill goes well with fish so I made some fish parcels which were delicious. I also sprinkled some lightly in scrambled eggs which was very tasty although a little different to my usual plain scrambled eggs. So, I’m now on a mission to find other ways to use dill in my cooking. I can see potato salad and dressings seem to be popular. Grown in Serbia, packed in Australia. Well, that’s different. Great price, convenience and longevity! I had only ever used fresh dill before and surprisingly had never thought about using dill from the long life herb and spice selection! At $2 this is more affordable than fresh dill and the outstanding benefit is longevity. Often when I buy fresh herbs they are for one dish and inevitably the rest goes bad and is disposed off, meaning money and food wasted. I made a lemon and dill sauce for potato salad using this product. It worked well and my partner didn’t realise the difference between this snd the taste of the fresh dill I would usually use. I did realise the difference however of course I knew about the difference so I was unable to ignore it. 100% Dill... Just like me... Being part of Woolworths Bunch has forced me to broaden my culinary horizons. I was aware of Dill but had no idea what it was and certainly never purchased it. Thanks to the generosity of Woolworths Bunch I am now the proud owner of 10gms of dried dillFor $2 it's a great deal compared to the same quantity of dried dill for $3. 20 at that 'other' store that rhymes with rolls. Along with the great price I am also a fan of the ingredients list - just one item listed 100% Dill. I sprinkled some of my newly acquire Dill on some steak and I felt VERY fancy. It tasted okay with a very unique flavour - no complaints. I've been told to mix it with some yoghurt so I think that will be my next adventure. Stay tuned. 5 x from me. Very tough to fault
Convenient dried herb. I recently sampled Woolworths Dried Dill and I must say I was quite pleased with the product. Dried herbs are always a convenient option to have in the kitchen - and with the cost of living constantly increasing, dried herbs are a cost effective alternative to fresh herbs. First and foremost, the aroma of the dried dill was fantastic. As soon as I opened the jar I noticed it which was great as the scent is often an indication of the herb's quality and flavor. When it came to taste, the Woolworths Dried Dill did not disappoint. The flavor was vibrant and authentic, capturing the essence of fresh dill. The texture of the dried dill was also commendable. The leaves were finely chopped, which made it easy to sprinkle and distribute evenly in my dishes. The size and consistency of the dried dill flakes were ideal, ensuring that I didn't end up with clumps or overpowering amounts in my food. Another aspect worth mentioning is the packaging. The Woolworths Dried Dill came in a sturdy and resealable glass jar, which helped maintain its freshness and prevented clumping. The container was also transparent, allowing me to see how much product was left and when it was time to restock. The only minor drawback I noticed was that the dried dill's potency seemed to diminish slightly over time. While it still retained its flavor and aroma, it required a slightly larger amount to achieve the same level of intensity as when it was freshly opened. However, this is a common characteristic of dried herbs in general and did not significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the product. Overall I find dried herbs convenient and a cheaper way to flavour food than fresh - I will be purchasing this one again - thank you for the sample!
Handy pantry staple. These jars of spices and herbs are always appreciated when fresh product is not available. We use dill on fish and family like a small amount of dill on scrambled eggs. The Woolworths product is handy when we have run out of fresh dill as fish is a frequent meal here and they pair well. Not overpowering, just a subtle herb taste to compliment the dish. Distinctive green double flip lid, with sprinkle or pour options. Budget friendly at $2. 00 for a 10gram bottle. Sample was ok taste wise but a little too much like dust. Packed in Australia but Grown in Serbia . Handy to have in the pantry as a backup. Thanks for the sample Woolworths always appreciated.
Great colour and flavour. I was a bit surprised to read that it has no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives as it is a very vibrant green. Grown in Serbia, packed in Australia. As soon as I brought it home I had a massive craving to use in in cucumber sandwiches with cream cheese. It didn't disappoint and added the correct dill flavour. The leftover mix is lovely with smoked salmon also. I usually buy fresh dill when needed and freeze the rest which doesn't freeze particularly well, and the fresh size is generally too much for whatever I need it for. Having it dry makes much more sense. Will definitely buy again.
Quality and Flavour. I don't use a lot of herbs and those that do use I prefer fresh from the garden. Dill is not one that I have any experience with so was glad of the chance to sample it. I have to admit being a member of Bunch and trying new things has helped get me back on track to cooking for myself more often. On opening the bottle and removing the seal the herbs are a lovely fresh looking green and there is a very subtle smell. I love that the lid has two sections so that you can either sprinkle or pour and that they seal well so that the contents stay nice and fresh. Dried dill doesn't have as much flavour as the fresh so you need to use quite generously to acquire the required taste. 1teaspoon of dried Dill = 1 tablespoon of fresh Dill. A bit of information which came in helpful. I found that it added a nice subtle falvour to my Bacon and cheese and Dill muffins. It was also a great addition to my cream cheese and smoked salmon roll. It goes well with most fish dishes and even added into a rissotto it added that little extra. It is great when used in salad dressings or if you are into making pickles. +I did find a recipe for dill seasoning which is a combination of onion flakes, dried parsley, Minced garlic, dried dill and chives and some salt. This is great used on chips, roast potatoes or vegies, and numerous other things The bottle and lid are both recyclable which we all look for these days. +There are no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives added. The herbs are packed in Australia but for some reason are grown and sourced from Serbia. +Now that I have tried it I will keep using it as it is just as good as the other brands and a very reasonable price.
Great to have on hand as a back up! This at $2 is good value. I regularly buy fresh dill for my homemade tzatziki and have never contemplated using dried herbs. However given this sample it was an opportunity to test the product. The dill did the trick. It still provided the herby flavour the dip relies upon. However I would not opt for it if fresh dill was available. It is still my preference because I have more control over fresh dill - bigger pieces for presence smaller pieces for a dill hint. Nevertheless, this is great to have on hand when fresh dill is not available because I only tend to buy fresh herbs for a particular recipe given their short fridge life. Not sure why this is grown in Serbia when it could be grown in Australia.
