Long time favourite. The Woolworths Frozen Mixed Berries are a weekly staple for me, I love having these in the freezer to add to my breakfast. I usually add them to my overnight oats and slightly heat it up in the morning, however, the berries are also great in smoothies. I think the 1kg bag is great value, especially now the price of the 500gr bags has gone up. The mix of fruit is great and the berries are flavourful and juicy. The strawberries are a little more "mushy" compared to the other berries, however, still find them flavourful and enjoyable. Will definitely keep purchasing these.

Delicious. Accidentally got the 500gr packet by mistake as it's the one I usually buy, didn't realize the sample was for the value pack 1kg, lovely surprise. As mentioned I buy these fruits regularly, including the blueberries, raspberries and also the other mixed berry pack which contains a dark fruit blend as they are so handy when fresh fruits are so expensive and seem to spoil too quickly. You can enjoy lovely berries and other fruits like pineapple and mango all year round with a consistent qualityVersatile to any kind of cooking, I found they hold their shape well if you don't overmix what you put them in, great for smoothies and excellent in puddings, custard or ice cream. Texture after defrosting is a little mushy depending on the fruit but still palatable however if wanting to use as a garnish it can still be done by careful selection and minimal handling until thawed. The easy open zippered top has a reseal strip which is quite firm. Price is good and I have tried other more expensive brands however keep coming back to Woollies brand because there is no difference, in size or taste. No additives, just fruit. Not Australian. The only thing I didn't like in this bag was the size of the strawberries - HUGE. I never buy fresh strawberries when they're that big as they can lack taste. I made a cake using some of the fruit - delicious. As mentioned I regularly purchase Woollies frozen fruit and will continue to do so, very satisfying and do yourself a favour, try the other fruits as well I can happily recommend them all from me

Not too bad. This is a huge very generous sample, when we could easily have been offered the smaller size to trial. I used to buy these regularly for my daughter before she left home, but haven’t bought them for a few years now. I’m not a frozen fruit consumer nor a great berry eater (apart from real fresh strawberries straight from a strawberry farm) so I was interested to try these mixed berries. I’ve never made a smoothy in my life but note that is what the majority of people seem to do with them. Unsure what to do with this huge new packet, I decided to keep it simple and just thaw a handful and serve with ice cream in order to taste the berries properly. My daughter was very happy that she scored the remainder of the packet, as she still buys these regularly to have on her muesli and yoghurt breakfast. Dog loves them too. Odd that it is packed in Chile from “multiple origins”. With any food product I want to know specifically which countries they are grown in so I can decide whether or not to purchase. Ingredients list - blueberries is first as expected as they dominated. There weren’t many strawberries but they are second on the list. Some of them were enormous! Next comes blackberries, and finally raspberries - proportions may vary seasonally, but it’s pretty clear that the cheaper berries are used to bulk up the packet. The size of the strawberries probably varies considerably but even smaller ones would thaw at a different rate to the other berries which could be annoying depending on what you do with them. Just an observation rather than something that bothers me. I could feel the individual frozen berries through the packet - they weren’t clumped together which indicates that a product had thawed slightly and was then refrozen which often happens with frozen fruit and veg. Quite an achievement since they came all the way from Chile. Taste was fine. After thawing I thought the strawberries looked a bit mushy but they tasted OK. The other berries weren’t particularly sweet - there were far too many blueberries, and they seemed a bit ‘spongy’ with an odd texture which didn’t appeal. I would like to see a better balance of varieties of berries. This wouldn’t be an issue if using in smoothies, coulis etc. Fresh beats frozen hands down, but for the price and convenience these do the job. One star removed because these are a foreign product.

Just okay. I like fresh berries as I like to pop them into my mouth and have a sweet fruit party going on in there. I am not a fan of fruit so if I am going to enjoy any I prefer fresh. However, I do understand the concept of frozen fruit and have bought frozen strawberries for my partner's protein shakes on a regular basis. I have always chosen to stay clear of the mixed berries due to the reason I am unhappy with what I got. So the mixed berries, like all the other frozen fruit products, have definitely increased in price. Yes cost of transport has gone up, maybe sourcing stock is more "difficult" but you are getting it from Chile, surely you are buying in bulk and therefore there is no real need to increase the price by $1. 80 which was done not so long ago??? ... MoreJust okay. Anyway not here to get answers on that but here to talk about the product itself. The berries looked okay, I noticed that it is mainly a lot of blueberries rather than anything else. Alone they are fine, maybe stirred through yoghurt is fine as well and added to a cheesecake batter, however in a smoothie it is a nightmare. You are left with so much little hard bits of pulp that it makes drinking rather gritty. I had to use a sieve to offer a smooth drink and let's just say that it took a while to sieve the contents! It isn't something I would buy again, happy to get the strawberries when needed but that is about it. I don't know the consistency in taste for the mixed berries but the strawberries can be rather bland at times rather than a sweet fruit. If you like gritty smoothies then enjoy your mixed berries packs but if you don't then use it for anything other than smoothies otherwise just choose froze banana, strawberries, mango or even the pineapple isn't too bad... well some of those options you would need to buy a different as Woolies doesn't have a huge variety on offer. Anyway for $5. 80 you are paying too much for frozen fruit, the price needs to go back to $4.

Handy for baking. These are very handy to keep in the freezer for when baking. I much prefer the fresh berries however these cook up well and are available all year round at pretty much the same price (whether in season or not). Disappointing they are imported from Chile and sometimes the strawberries are a bit too big. The convenience is their drawcard though. If I decide at the last minute I want to bake a cake or some muffins I don't have to dash to the shops - I can just pull a handful out of the freezer (and the bag is resealable). Handy to have in the freezer but they won't replace beautiful fresh berries for me.

Poor quality fruit. About the only positive thing I can say is that it is in a good zip lock package that was easy to reseal. But as far as the contents were concerned we would never buy this product. The raspberries were all misshapen and had black blotches. They appear to have been packed unfrozen and then frozen squashed on top of each other rather than free-flow frozen first. Then some of the blueberries were greeny red i. e. unripe and too sour. The raspberries and strawberries had black blemishes. One raspberry appeared to have frozen mould on it. The package suggests strewing them on top of pavlova but they are nowhere near pretty enough to be used as decorations. The only way to use them is in a blender to make drinks with. The whole thing looks like it had very poor quality control.

Too convenient not to buy them. I didn’t buy frozen berries until I got a Bunch sample of blueberries some time ago. Now I buy them all the time, so I felt extremely fortunate to receive such a generous sample of mixed berries. They are versatile and convenient to keep in the freezer. I plan to turn some of them into summer berry puddings but that’s for another day. This time I used some to make berry and white chocolate muffins; with another bunch sample of white chocolate melts. My only negative comment is in relation to the strawberries which are so much bigger than the rest of the fruit. I started pouring the berries into a bowl and gravity kicked in. Great for baking! I often buy a range of frozen fruits to bake with. They aren’t great to eat on their own as they are sour but with a little helping hand from the addition of sugar there berries are brought back to life. This is why they are perfect to use them for baking or in smoothies or to make a sauce out of them. They also make muffins and cakes very moist but I would be cautious using them in a pie as they may be too watery- you might have to cook them out first. In terms of the mix there were only a few raspberries, and strawberries (which I like to chop them to make them smaller), a little more of blackberries, and there were heaps of blueberries. Great mix of frozen berries. I found these a good mix of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries - more blueberries and strawberries than the other two, but enough of everything to keep me happy. I'm not a big fan of frozen strawberries other than in smoothies, but they're big enough to keep out of my porridge. Love them in porridge and good for muffins, apple pies / crumble, heated with yoghurt or ice cream, and of course smoothies. Pack states these are packed in Chile, from multiple countries of origin. These are considerably cheaper than other similar products available, although berries are often cited as having high amounts of pesticides, so depending on how the bank balance is going, I would usually opt for organic berries.
