Drinkable, convenient if you don't need or drink that much. Have been using their low-fat version for coupla years now, jumped onto this Freebie to try it out. Could be just me used to the other stuff, but yes it turns out pretty well the same taste/texture as real milk. But honestly prefer the taste of of low-fat stuff. Basically only use milk in a large morning coffee bucket, occasionally in an iced coffee with the warm weather lately. Adding in straight out of the packet into coffee as a powdered creamer? Nup, just doesn't taste the same as when made up with water then added into the morning heart starter. Mind you, so does the low-fat version... Bit curious that the cats here will turn their noses up at it. Wonder if they'e also used to their regular ... MoreDrinkable, convenient if you don't need or drink that much. Wonder if they'e also used to their regular lactose-free as well? Also note that it doesn't dissolve as easily as the low-fat version, found it's easier to mix using a drink shaker. Sorta understandable having the milk fats still in it. Overall though - would prefer this sitting in the cupboard or out picnicking or camping etc than a box of any long-life milk. More convenient to mix up just what you need, stored in an airtight when the packet is opened is better than cracking a carton of long-life then having to refridge the unused still in the box. I'll say it's got it's good points over regular milk in cartons, but personally I'm biased to the low-fat. Not saying this is all bad, just not quite my cup of... coffee...

Endless possibilities. This product was easy to find in the long life milk section. The powder was off white in colour, smelt creamy & had a soft & manageable consistency. I liked that the instructions asked you to dissolve the powder in a smaller amount of liquid before adding the full amount so that youâre not vigorously stirring a large volume of water. Once dissolved & the extra liquid was added it looked just like regular milk & tasted pretty much the same. The only real giveaway is the powdery residue which is left behind wherever the milk has touched ie the sides of your glass as you drink it. We usually do have fresh milk on hand so I used some of mine to make a Rice pudding & the end result tasted no different. As you can make this product on an as you need ... MoreEndless possibilities. As you can make this product on an as you need it basis it would benefit someone who lives on their own or is the only one who consumes milk in a household. Itâd also be handy for camping or even in your desk drawer at work. With itâs long expiry (ours was nearly a year) it could also be used by someone who doesnât get to the shops regularly. Overall a very good product with endless possible applications. Itâs quite economical at $8 for 7 litres of milk, is made in Australia from 99% Australian ingredients & has a 3. 5 Health Star Rating. If I found myself in a position where instant milk would be beneficial, then this is the one which Iâd purchase. The only thing which I would suggest is a a smaller packet option as itâs unlikely that Iâd have the need for a packet of this size.

Super handy backup. Taste and convenienceEasily dissolves in hot water (haven't tried cold water yet, maybe something for hot summer days). It is not fresh milk but there are always days when I'd like to use milk only to find I have none left in the fridge. Pairs well with tea (or coffee if that's your drink of choice) and hot cocoa. Baking seemed alright too, but I never do anything fancy - literally just adds water to the powder and turn it into liquid form before substituting as milk. Packaging is not recyclable. Would be at least a bit better if it is resealable so can be reused/repurposed. It's sold as a 1kg packet and its unlikely I'd be able to finish that much in one hit At the moment I transfer these to a seal-able container. RepurchaseSure, why not? I'm ... MoreSuper handy backup. So Convenient. This is a 1kg bag of Milk Powder. This bag will make 7 litres of milk. The back of the packet has instructions to make 1 litre of milk or 1 cup. There is also a recipe on the back to make a breakfast smoothie. It is high in calcium with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. This product is Australian made from 99% Australian ingredients. It has a 3. 5 â health rating. The bag goes into your normal rubbish bin. The retail cost is $8. 00. I was so happy to receive this product as I don't use a lot of milk at all unless I bake, apart from a small drop in my morning coffee or the odd occasion I have cereal. Once I'd opened it I just put a clip on it, put it into an airtight container & into the pantry. There's not much more to say really, I will purchase it in the future as it's much more convenient for me than fresh milk. Thank You for the sample.
Surprisingly Good! I grew up on powdered skim milk for financial reasons and never enjoyed it. However, this was surprisingly good! Not 100% the same as fresh milk but definitely enjoyable. I usually have a long life milk as a backup in the pantry but this is a good alternative to that as you can make up as much as you need. Financially, this will be good to use in cooking/baking. My only negative and reason for dropping a star is more personal and therefore maybe not fair on the product. I wouldn't use this product every day, sticking with standard milk, so I would prefer a 500g pack instead of 1kg.
Budget saver and great taste. I have been using milk powder for a very very long time. I usually use the powdered skim milk in my hot drinks and prefer it. I add a little cold water to the cup, add the dry ingredients and give it a quick stir before adding the hot water. The Woolworths brand is economical, mixes well and tastes great. My kids have drunk powdered milk by the jug full-saving about $1 per 2 litre jug over fresh milk. They loved it on their cereal and all those milk drinks they loved-especially the Milo. All the nutrition without carrying the milk up the stairs and shopping too often. Over the years I have also saved the environment from a HUGE number of plastic bottles as 1 bag of Full cream milk powder is equal to 8 litres of fresh milk. I get 10 litres from the Skim milk powder following directions on the pack. Both varieties are only $8 a bag. So don't just keep this product for cooking. HINT-if you want liquid milk, make the mix the night before and place in the fridge overnight. It will taste even better and won't leave any powder residue in glass. â â â
Great standby. Full cream powdered milk is such a handy item to keep in the pantry. It has a long life provided it is stored in a dark relatively cool place and it is sealed from air. It can be stored in the pack after opening but I prefer to use a sealed container. This large pack costing $8 makes up to 7 litres so it is budget friendly. Directions are given to make a single cup of milk as well as a larger quantity. It is easy and quick to mix with none of the floating âlumpsâ I associate with powdered milk Used in baked goods, custards, soups etc it is no different to fresh milk. I have just found a recipe for ricotta and paneer made from milk powder so will try one of these. A bonus is that this product is close to 100% Australian. We spend a lot of time travelling in our caravan. I vacuum small packs of milk powder as we are often well away from shops, itâs easy to pack and store without refrigeration, bulk or weight, it will last for months this way and I can reconstitute it as needed.
Very good pantry staple. I grew up on powdered milk; it was only in our late teens/early twenties did my family switch to fresh milk. It was more cost effective to make the milk because I would drink it all the time (still do). Woolies Full Cream Milk Powder is a great product to have in the pantry, as it can be added to soups, instead of cream, is great for baking, such as breads or rolls, and for when you run out of fresh milk and can't get to the shops straight away or, as in my case, don't want go out. The taste is fine, especially in tea or coffee, and is easy to make. The instructions on the packet are clear; the only thing is the packet itself is not recyclable.
A great backup product. I usually buy long life cartons of milk, but I used to make my milk up from powder. It's a bit more work but if I only want a small quantity it's very economical and no wastage. WW Full Cream Milk Powder measures up to the one I used to buy (Diploma) and will be a very useful product to have on standby. I am also dabbling in baking my own bread in the bread maker and some recipes require milk powder so I will be using it in this way as well. No arguments with at least 99% Australian ingredients. Thanks Woollies for allowing my to try this very useful product.
