Just Okay. I recently tried the Woolworths Garden Peas in a 420g can and found them to be just okay. While they were cooked well and had a nice green color, I didn't find anything particularly special about the taste or texture. The peas were a bit too soft for my liking, and I didn't detect any natural sweetness or freshness that I look for in garden peas. I also found that the flavor was quite bland and lacked any distinct taste, which was a disappointment. While I appreciate the convenience of having the peas in a can, I don't think I would repurchase this product. I prefer to buy fresh or frozen peas that have a more vibrant taste and texture, and I don't think the canned version can match that quality. However, if you're looking for a more flavorful and satisfying pea, I would suggest exploring other options.

A great cupboard staple. I will often have a can of these wonderful little Garden Peas in my pantry. Great addition to many dishes. Quick and easy to open. Great value for price. Will continue to purchase.

Taste like peas but rather soggy in texture. These did taste good and like peas but I have to say the peas are overcooked and the colour a little dark. If the peas were not so overcooked these would be good and the colour of the peas more vibrant. They are however good to add in with other steamed veg or in stir fries etc. The peas have no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, a 5 star health rating, 3 serves of veg per can, a good source of fibre, are produced in France and the tin is recyclable. Yes we would recommend these to others if they were using them in cooking and buy them again ourselves.

Good backup item for pantry. This product was easy to find in the tinned vegetable aisle. Packaging is very clear with the image on the front, so no complaints with the visual. I have not been a buyer of tinned peas, as I buy the frozen ones regularly. Always good to have a try of something that you don't usually buy. In saying that, I was a little disappointed. They are certainly a different type of product to use in cooking. Don't get me wrong, this is a product that would be good to keep as a back up in your pantry, but not an item that you would on my shopping list as a regular buy. The reason is that they are little soft after cooking, and when you try to use them in a hot dish (mix into a stir fry) you need to make note to only have them in for a very short ... MoreGood backup item for pantry. The reason is that they are little soft after cooking, and when you try to use them in a hot dish (mix into a stir fry) you need to make note to only have them in for a very short time, as they have been in liquid in the tin, so they are already a soft texture and won't last too long in a hot dish. I think they are best to be used in a salad, or just heat them up quickly on their own if you want peas on the side of your meal. I will continue to buy the frozen peas vs the tinned. Appreciated being able to try these so thanks Woolies.

Peas that taste like Peas! Woolworths Garden Peas are great! They taste like any other branded canned peas. The actual look of the can is rather appealing, which is some times are for home branded canned goods. The price is great, super cheap, stock up on peas!I use the canned garden peas quite often throughout the week. Perfect for potato salads or as mushy peas or for anything that you need canned peas for! I have also used it in soups and it worked out well, sure a bit mushy, but some times you just want a blended soup and it works out fine! There is only so much one can say about canned peas but I really recommend these canned peas for everyone! It is a must to have at tome as a staple!

Dads review. I personally do not eat tinned peas. Dad has enjoyed eating them for as long as I can remember. He has always purchased Edgell's brand because they are an Australian product, whereas Woolworth's Garden Peas are a product of France. After taste testing them he didn't think that there was a huge difference in taste but said he will be sticking with purchasing Edgell's brand. To my surprise these tinned peas have a 5 star health rating.

Best added into meals. We are not fans of tinned peas as we prefer frozen baby or mint peas. They were okay, soft peas. good pea colour, though the taste was bland. I added them to a warm potato salad and also a chicken pesto pasta, Overall we didn't really enjoy these peas. So I won't be buying these againAlso the downside of this product is that it is a product of France, I prefer to buy Australian. I did like the recyclable tin with an easy open ring pull lid with my arthritis.

Not very pleasing peas. I despise tin peas so I kindly handballed this sample taste testing to my husband. I put my bias aside from eating tin peas to review the non-tasting part of the project. To start with, I thought even the can was un a pea ling. The green background not so bad and the white descriptive writing really stands out, but the picture of the peas in the bowl look sad and the colour drained. If you look at the peas on the top of the can they look more inviting. A bit of a contradiction on what you think your peas are going to look like. ( but we all know they are going to really look a weird colour like in the bowl)The husband said the colour was off-putting compared to frozen peas and the texture was dry and a not much flavour and a bit tasteless ... MoreNot very pleasing peas. ( but we all know they are going to really look a weird colour like in the bowl)The husband said the colour was off-putting compared to frozen peas and the texture was dry and a not much flavour and a bit tasteless compared to other known tinned peas. The smell was ok and normal for tinned peas. Here are the heated up little weirdos sitting on his plate. As for colour it pretty much compared to the pictured ones in the bowl on the can. Just not as plump and photoshopped They are a product of France, which is strange because I am sure our Aussie farmers grow and produce fantastic peas here in Australia The peas are a great source of fibre and have no artificial colours and flavours or preservatives. Your pooches I discovered last night love them. They have a 5 health rating. The best thing is the ring pull. It was a snap to take off. So this would be great to take camping if you like these peas. The can is all recyclable too Cost is. 85 cents, which is less than half for a competitors tin peas of roughly the same weight. Because of the flavour and texture, we will not be buying these again, only if our survival depended on it.

The nostalgia was strong ... My Dad would always ask for tinned peas at Christmas time as a 'treat' so to me, these have always been associated with making my first hero, happy. These peas were pleasant enough. Soggy, but with tinned peas this appears to be the norm. Not overly tasty but far from bland. Tinned will never be my preference over frozen or fresh, but at a pinch they are a great option. They are great as an addition to soups and stews as the usually tougher outer layer is soft. I'll buy them again - probably every time I am missing my Dad.

Love these peas. I've bought these peas a couple of times now for my mince dishes ❤️ them, they are nice & soft no hard one's, fresh with plenty of big & small one's amongst them, filled to the top of can with water, it's priced at $1. 50 for a 420g (estimate) can-this is cheap & nicely packaged, there is s pull-ring up top which makes it easy to open & lastly ingredients say on side of can:- Peas (63%) & water.
