Fantastic Fetta. Have had this a few times before, always forget to do the review. Well hold on to your salad mixes Bunchee's, cause here comes Baybee's review. Love the look of the packaging, very enticing pictures leaving me excited for what's inside. No need to go to Greece, this Feta works just fine. Made in Australia, using 95% of home grown ingredients. Now on the front, it does state to "Peel Here" No matter how much I peeled my eyes open, could I master that. In the end my impatience got the better of me, and I pulled out the big guns. I promise no Fetta was hurt in the process of this. It has some liquid inside pouch, always forget that. End up with Fetta Juice either on me, or all over the bench. Would be nice if was a resealable zip lock bag, then I ...Ā MoreFantastic Fetta. You can see how I opened it, now it looks like it say's Crumbly Eek Fete. Cut off about a thumb thickness to crumble into my yummy salad. Holding the large piece, it felt slightly rubbery. But it crumbled up fine and was a must have ingredient in my lunch. The taste of it is just perfect, just the right amount of salty goodness. $3. 00 of yummy Feta goodness, have bought in the past. Have it now in my fridge, and will buy again and again in the future. Because of the non-easy peel opening, it earned 4 stars. Taste wise, it is s plus.

Betta Getta Fetta! I found this to be a really good greek fetta. I personally prefer the danish style fetta, which has a creamier texture, but there is certainly a place for the greek variety. It is more firm in texture, not as soft as the danish kind. It was almost rubbery in consistency, which sounds unpleasant but I liken it to the texture of haloumi. There was a good saltiness to the flavour, without being too salty. It was used in a salad and on top of some pizzas, where it held its crumbly shape nicely. Made in Australia. The packaging peeled open fine, but I always get splashed with the liquid inside, or it runs out everywhere! It would be good if it came packaged in a container, or something to better hold the juices once opened.

Great flavour. I found this reasonably easy, although I almost picked up the Danish one but was able to spot the differences before it went in my trolley. The packet has a nice design and it's nice to be able to see through so you know what it looks like before you buy. I made a tomato, Fetta and herb salad with some of it then made a pizza with the rest. The saltiness of the Fetta mixed with the sweetness of tomato is the perfect flavour balance for me. I don't use a lot of Fetta so this size packet for $3 is perfect for me. 95% Australian ingredients is good to see too.

Good second place. It's not as good as Lemnos Greek feta but it's also only $3. 50 where's as I've seen Lemnos at $6 for the same amount. It's salty crumbly creamy and has the right flavour good budget replacement for party's and large dishes. Plenty of flavour too!I've tried adding this to garlic hokkein noodles and Hawaiian pizza recently and may I say both were successful flavour combinations.

Great product, Great price! I have been buying the Woolworths Greek Style Fetta for quite a while now. I use it regularly, on a daily basis even, in salads, as a pizza topping, inside pastry and of course stirred through pasta. I love making some fresh gnocchi and using a bit of cream cheese and then a whole packet of the fetta cheese to stir through, definitely good comfort food! The packet is a nightmare, no doubt about that. Easy to peel? Yeah, nah! Definitely not easy to feel, make sure you have a trusty knife or scissors ready for a proper opening!Definitely easy to use as whole, sliced up or crumbled. Definite staple to have! It isn't overly salty, not like Danish Fetta, that is just a salty hit in the face. It has a good firm taste but doesn't feel like you ...Ā MoreGreat product, Great price! Lovely Aussie Fetta (not Feta*). I absolutely loved this Fetta cheese. I used it to make some spinach filo parcels and then bought again for a Greek salad for Christmas lunch. It's not too salty and very firm. The only fault I could mention is that it is a little rubbery rather than crumbly, but otherwise perfect. Made in Australia, 95% Australian ingredients; no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Priced at $3 for 200gms. It also has a very long use-by date before opening. Thank you for the opportunity to try - will definitely be switching to this product now. *I was wondering why the Woolies product was spelt with an extra "t" - apparently only Feta cheese made in Greece should be spelt Feta. So I learnt something too.

Give Fett-a chance. We don’t normally buy Fetta cheese as we prefer other cheeses but a recipe we wanted to make called for some Fetta. As we only needed a small amount for that recipe, we were left with quite a bit spare. So that is when we decided to use it in my Mixed-Rainbow-Salad The Fetta was packaged as a nice block. Although the pack says that it is ā€œcrumblyā€ Fetta, it held together quite well. It could be cut into cubes or it could be crumbled. It tasted as I expected Fetta to taste with some salty hints. It kept fresh once opened for at least a good few days. The image on the front of the packaging depicted a typical Greek salad and may have helped to subconsciously get the tastebuds excited. The issue with the packaging is that it isn’t resealable so we had to store it in another container in the fridge. It also didn’t peel nicely and ripped upon opening. The packaging also didn’t mention anything about recycling of the soft plastic but I assume it is red-cyclable ā™»ļøMade from 95% Australian ingredients 2. 5 āļøāļø health star rating probably due to the 25g per 100g fat content. Has a long expiry date until the middle of next year. If we come across another recipe calling for Fetta we will be happy to purchase this one again.

Time to swap my Fetta. We have always purchased another brand of Fetta, but after quite good ratings here on Bunch I finally remembered to buy the Woolworths Greek Style Fetta. Firstly I really liked the appearance of the Fetta package. The light blue writing and the salad pictured, along with the made in Australia emblem was really uplifting. So time to open the package. Well, that was a difficult situation as there was no way the 'peel here' worked. I had to use a knife to get the goods out. It was all a bit of mess with juice going everywhere but the Fiesty Fetta made an appearance eventually on my pizza. The Fetta crumbled well and I sampled it prior to cooking on the pizza. For $3. 00 it is around $1. 80 cheaper than the one I get so I will purchase this again. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the challenge of opening the packet.

My go-to choice. This is definitely my go-to Fetta when I need a crumbly version. In fact, I used it the other night in @marvie 's lamb and fetta meatballs (thanks @marvie they were great!). It is always available and easy to find in the cheese chiller and the price is fabulous - certainly cheaper than most of the other versions available. The size of the pack is perfect for two dishes in my house and the bit I don't use is kept easily fresh by placing in a zip lock back. The only improvement I could suggest would be packaging that is easier to re-wrap, as the current packaging makes this somewhat difficult. It is very easy to initially peel open though (which some products are not), so this is a win. The cheese itself comes in a firm block that is very easy to ...Ā MoreMy go-to choice. Once crumbled, it retains it's shape during cooking (or adding to a salad) and makes a lovely, cheesy chunk in your dish. Who doesn't love that?!I love that it is made with 95% Aussie ingredients - so that is another win in my book. Overall, I love this product and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a lovely cheesy hit in a salad or hot meal. I definitely won't be looking elsewhere.

Not creamy. Made in Australia from 95% Australian ingredients is one positive step. It would be great to use Australian sheepor goat’s milk as the next step. It easily crumbled on our Greek-style salad and provided enough salt for the whole salad. Tastewise, all I could taste was the salt, it is also quite mild and there’s not a lot of creaminess that good feta is known for. I also crumbled some on my couscous salad but only to add more saltiness on the dish. This feta cheese with its small amount of brine, is packaged snuggly in a vacuum sealed plastic. It is easy to open with a peel off corner. I normally use some of the brine for marinades, dips, soups and dishes requiring saltiness. Overall, the simplicity of the packaging and the colour theme is great, however the use of turquoise on white print (or vice versa) is a complete anathema due to poor visibility. I rarely use one whole block of feta so I end up freezing or resealing the rest. It would be great to have a resealable packaging but thinking this might increase the price, I’d just use a lidded container or resealable sandwich bag. Buy again? As much as I like the idea that it is cheap and locally made, I’d like to see more improvements in taste to buy again. I don’t regularly buy feta but when I do, my first choice would be feta that tastes authentic (ie made from sheep or goat’s milk).
