Impressive ! This product was easy to find on the shelf alongside other types and brands of simmer sauces. It is made in Australia from at least 87% of ingredients and has no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. I have never bought jarred sauces before so I used it with chicken. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was !The honey and soy flavour was there with just a hint of garlic, adding a nice overall flavour to the chicken. I felt it was a little bit too thick, but that is my only criticism. I am happy to purchase in the future, and thank Woolies and bunch for this sample

Simmering with anticipation.... Woolies must be trying to convert me to simmer sauces outside the curry range (seriously try the Patak extra spicy butter chicken one it is great) as this is my second simmer sauce sample. I wasn't fussed over the Honey Mustard one in this range so sighed when I saw this sample in my inbox. However I am here to give my opinion and test out my food snobbery. My thought was hmmm $2 for a 500g jar cant be that good. I made this up with chicken and Bok choi on rice and carefully served it so that I had more meat and veg and less sauce. We had our first bite and looked at each other and then had another bite and then commented to each other. It is actually quite nice. Ok not Korean fried chicken soy and garlic sauce super dooper quality ... MoreSimmering with anticipation.... Ok not Korean fried chicken soy and garlic sauce super dooper quality but still very nice for a simple mid week meal that you can throw together quickly. After we ate our meal we both said I wish I had put the rest of the sauce in our bowls and decided to have a bit more rice (I always cook up extra to dry out for a fried rice during the week) and put the left over sauce in the frypan onto it and had a second dinner. So much for feeding 4 people lol, but in our defense we only used one chicken breast as we expected this to be bland and didn't want to make it up for two nights of bland dinners. 87% Australian ingredients which is pretty good. I think something like this would be good for people with teenager kids. I also think I might get a jar for the pantry for those days where you are either lethargic or sick and still want something nice but just don't have the effort to cook from scratch. Ok Woolies I am ready for my next simmer sauce sample, what have you got.

Very Sweet. Found on the bottom shelf in the supermarket. We cooked it with chicken and vegetables served on a bed of rice. Very quick and easy at a great price $2. 00's a jar. Made from 87% Australian ingredients. We found it sickly sweet, because of this I would not buy it again. In saying that if you can tolerate the sweetness I would recommend as a quick and easy meal.

Quick and easy. I marinated chicken drumsticks in this simmer sauce and baked them in the oven and served with roast vegies and salad. It was quick and easy to prepare. I was pleasantly surprised as I really enjoyed the flavour, it's a little sweet but does have honey in it. I would definitely buy again as made from mostly Australian ingredients. Very affordable cost of $2. 00. Glass jar and lid are recyclable.

Convenient. I usually don’t purchase these pre-made sauces so was keen to try it. We liked the combination of the honey, soy and garlic and it was flavoursome and also glad that the garlic wasn’t too overpowering. It certainly was convenient when I was making a beef and vegetable stirfry and it would be quite nice with chicken as well. For me personally I would have preferred it to be a little less on the sweet side but I would definitely consider purchasing this economical sauce again especially if I wanted to save some time. I would also be interested in trying some other combinations in this range. Thanks Woolworths for introducing me to this sauce.

Quick and convenient. Thank you for Simmer Sauce sample. This economical and versatile sauce is ideal for an easy and quick meal prep for home and camping. With it's pleasing sweet and savoury flavour profile, this 'simmer' sauce also works well as an ingredient base for a stir fry, slow cooker or as a marinade. I added sesame oil to the simmer sauce and used as a marinade for my airfryer honey soy chook wings.

Tasy and convenient. The Woolworths Honey Soy and Garlic Simmer Sauce is convenient for a mid week dinner. I used chicken and lots of veg, which would up the 2 health rating. A bit sweet for me, and when you look at the nutrition 29g of sugar per 125g of serving size. Priced well at $2 compared to the named brand. I would recommend for family dinners, but for not for my single self.

Quick stir fry sauce. I’m impressed & it does take a lot to impress me. I don’t really buy jar sauces but I marinated it with chicken strips, stir fried veg & hokien noodles & what a quick easy meal. It is Australian made✅ flavoursome✅ easy to find✅ quick to prepare✅ 4 ticks for me, say no more! Thanks a bunch

Quick Meal. I made a stir fry with chicken and added the simmer sauce. The honey and soy flavour was a little sweet but not too overpowering. I also added a bit more garlic. We really enjoyed this sauce and will buy again. Great price too.
