No cherries. The blend is a good ratio. Not mostly sultanas. The fruit is nice soft fruit. And it also has a good mix of citrus peel... but no cherriesotherwise it's five stars. I think I like the coloured pieces when you cut fruit cake. I made a boiled pineapple fruit cake. The recipe that I've always made and I couldn't fault the fruit. I would most likely purchase this brand over the others firstly its not the sole ingredient that makes the dish and secondly its almost half the price per kilo than the next best option.

Not very 'mixed'. This large bag of fruit isn't as mixed as the name of "Mixed Fruit" would have you believe. I found that my packet seemed to be majority sultanas and raisins, with the odd currant and citrus peel. This fruit is made in Turkey and it seems unnecessary to import dried fruit from Turkey when we could quite easily use dried fruit from Australia. The packet itself is very generous at 1kg and can be used in a number of ways. I popped a few into my curried quinoa and made a very tasty fruit bread but there is still so much left. The size of the packet is too much for me and I wouldn't consider purchasing this size again. The 1kg packet of mixed fruit is $5. 50 so the value is definitely there if you need bulk mixed fruit.

Your average mixed fruit. It's convenient to have these 3 fruits plus peel together for easy addition to a fruit cake or slice. I usually add it to a bran cake where I'd usually just add sultanas. Other than this I don't use much dried fruit for baking and probably wouldn't eat this as a snack as the sultanas are a bit dry and I don't enjoy eating peel. It's a lower priced mix at $4. 40 / 1kg. At this price you may not expect cherries, figs, dates etc that others have mentioned. These would increase the price. Technically there's not 100% dried fruit as the label depicts as there is some oil in there. I also couldn't really differentiate between sultanas and raisins. The raisins must be very small indeed!I would buy this as a convenient base mix for baking but don't ... MoreYour average mixed fruit. Versatile Fruit Mix! A great & versatile mix to have in cakes, muffins, when making a slice or fruit loaf or simply on it's lonesome as a snack! I used my sample to make for the first time my very own mixed fruit slice. Was pleasantly surprised of my creation. It tasted even better the following day. Made & packed in Turkey from imported ingredients unfortunately, even though it tasted delicious. Personally I could only have a small amount hence my oat slice. It's a bit rich & sweet so in moderation for me. Packet resealable & recyclable. A replacement or refund offered if you're not satisfied with this product. Average healthwise with 3. 5 stars. No artificial colours or flavours. Will buy again when required for baking.
A Bit Dry. The bag is absolutely stuffed with fruit so you get your moneys worth. However, the ratio of raisins and sultanas to other fruit is a little uneven so I felt it would have been better if there was more citrus. I could not tell the raisins from the sultanas. They are both so shrivelled up and hard. Usually sultanas are softer and more plump. The dried fruits aren't too sweet though so you could eat these as a snack or part of a trail mix as well as in cakes. I noticed they are packed in Turkey from Turkish ingredients. I would much prefer Australian grown. I would only buy this product if I needed to save money as I don't think that it's great quality.
Mixed bag. Bought these as I was trying to find a healthy “nut free” snack for my pre-schooler that she could take to kinder. Although I’m not a big fan of giving dried fruits due to the use of preservatives, my ideas were running low and she enjoys eating sultanas. Surprisingly when I compared the nutrition information of the sultanas with the mixed fruit, the mixed fruit came out on top. Costing $5. 50 for 1kg its 50 cents more than the same size pack of sultanas. Great bulk value. Yummy, tasty, sweet, delicious and a nice variety of fruits. My daughter wasn’t a big fan of the citrus peel, but I didn’t mind it in small size quantities. A nice sweet addition to my snacks of unsalted nuts.
Mixed Versatile Fruit. Thought this ingredient and snack of mixed fruit was very tasty and not so sweet on the palate and had assortment of flavours. Had a soft texture that was easy to chew and included in several of my baked cakes and scones. Great price and preferred this to the more popular brands as not so sweet and thought the freshness was more noticeable. Would definitely recommend to my bunch family as a Baking ingredient or a special treat on its own or maybe sprinkle on cereal or icecream Packaging was a bit dull I thought but found it without any problem in specific isle. Would definitely buy again
It was sweet and tasty and moist with different fruits. Woolworths Mixed Fruit 1kgVery good quality against the other overpriced mixed fruit. I used this in my boiled fruit cake recipe and also used the other half as a yummy snack and also added to morning cereal and porridge. It was sweet and tasty and moist with different fruits and my whole family enjoyed this pack!Shall certainly buy again as this is a fraction of the price of other expensive brands. Good on you Woolworths! for a great product for the foodies! Thanks for the chance to trial out these as I used to buy the more expensive packs and will now on buy these for my cakes.
Nice, but could use more variety! I enjoyed my Woolworths Mixed Fruit 1kg sample. The contents were tasty and of an acceptable quality. However, what it lacked was variety. It was composed mostly of Sultanas, Raisins, and Currants, all of which looked and tasted fairly similar. Notwithstanding the odd Citrus Peel, the contents are entirely homogeneous - just looks like a bunch of sultanas! I want other colours and flavours! Some cherry, or apricot, or even dried apple or banana bits. That would make this far more appetising as a snack mix. For a fruit cake mix, the contents are more than adequate as is - but the product will only really appeal to people who bake fruit cakes (not me!) or like eating sultanas, raisins and currants.
Plump and juicy. This was a lovely sample to receive. At first I was a bit undecided on how I was going to use the product as I was over Christmas cake, mince pies and pudding. Not words you will often hear from me but when you are the only person who likes them in the family, eating a whole cake and pudding to yourself over the Christmas period is challenging. I know I could freeze them in serving size and I did do that, still it’s a lot to get through. The sample was easy to find with its distinctive blue bag. The clear plastic on the front shows just how plump and juicy the fruit was going to be. I put my thinking cap on and decided to make a bread and butter pudding with a slight twist. I thought the mixed fruit would provide a lovely twist to my usual recipe ... MorePlump and juicy. This was a lovely sample to receive. This sample did not have an excessive amount of peel in it so it worked welll. If you are after a good mix of dried fruit then this bag is probably not for you. It is mainly sultanas and raisins with a bit of peel. Could not find any cherry. The fruit is plump, fresh and tasty just not a huge variety of fruit in it.
