Some tasty nuts. Product of Australia which is very good. Big packet at 250 g for $7, which is also very good. It says salted, but I didn't taste salt really at all. Not really a problem though as they were still delicious and don't really need salt. As can be seen from the packaging, you do have to shell them yourself, but they crack a bit when roasted so are easy to open with bare hands. The nuts have a nice green and purple tinge to them. I find pistachio nuts not the strongest in taste, which would suit pretty much everyone. They are nice and crunchy and there are heaps of them. Health star rating of 4. 5 as well. So nothing really to fault here. A good quality, tasty product.

Yum Yum. Not thinking clearly, these were hard to find as I looked in the nuts section in fresh fruit and then the cake cooking section. Finally found them in the chocolate/ lolly aisle. An amazing Bunchee has now written that at the bottom of the offer it tells you where they are located. I have been a Bunchee for couple years and never know that. I wonder how many people do know this. How great is the sharing of ideas and information on this site?So after finally finding my sample it was a decadent evening sitting outside with some cheese, wine and my Pistachios. How good is that? Thanks Bunch! The pistachios were fresh, not overly salty and tasty. I like the fact they were a product of Australia, in a foil packet for freshness and the packet was recyclable. They have a very good health rating and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Reasonably priced at $7 as we all know nuts are expensive. I also like that they had a 12 month best before date but realistically once opened, I don't think they would be sitting around anywhere for that long.

One star off for foreign origin (USA). It was very pleasant to get another nut sample (after my cashews last week). My problem with nuts is that I eat them too quickly so having to actually open the shells slowed me down slightly. The sample was easily found in the nuts section (not the chip area) and at a good eye level. The colour of the package is not drab like some of the others in the range and the picture made it easier for me. I did however have to ask someone if it was the salted or unsalted variety. The packet is recyclable, the shells go into the FOGO bin and no left overs so an all round excellent product. The price was a wee bit high but that is par for the course nowadays. I initially thought they were not quite salted enough but the more I ate the more ... MoreOne star off for foreign origin (USA). I will definitely be buying them again.

Definite winner !! Getting HHH to try something new is a task all by itself - the face, when presented with "nuts still wrapped in shells" was dubious but ten minutes later, it was "Get these away from me - I've eaten half the box already"!!. He is a "get a handful of nuts and shove them in his mouth" sort of person but I have been told that we are to keep buying these lol !! Neither of us had ever eaten pistachios before but we thoroughly enjoyed them, thank you Woolworths. Texture is reminiscent of slightly crunchier cashews, price is fine compared to what we thought we would have to pay for them, LOVE that they are Australian origin - now to find some recipes to use them in too. Note that there is no mention of our other taste testing twin sons? They aren't ... MoreDefinite winner !! Fabulous Pistachios! This sample was similar to the cashews sample that I recently received, so I knew exactly where these were located, in the lolly isle. The packaging is bright and once you have seen them, it will constantly catch your eye everytime you pass them. The moment I touched the foil bag, it screamed fresh and upon opening it did not disappoint. The pistachios were lightly salted and wonderfully fresh and once you have the momentum for shelling, they are a breeze and a tasty snack to have. They were consumed at a rather fast rate. Price point is $7 for the 250gm bag so are a little expensive in my opinion. However, the quality is certainly higher than the cheaper bulk packets and therefore I would purchase these again if I was putting them on a cheese ... MoreFabulous Pistachios! Not a fan. I recieved this as a sample. Attractive packaging and foil like lining is great to keep freshI was looking forward to try this, I love nuts, I had a bowl to snack on like you do with nuts. Nuts easy to open also but I need to stop there. Once I tried it again and again, the taste was off puting, to me it tasted like it was a off salty taste, but it wasn't off thats the problem, maybe I just don't like pistashios. I gave the bag to my hubby and it was a healthy snack for him for 3 days. So.. I wouldn't buy this again, not for my taste buds. If it's purchased again my hubby will need to go out and get it himself as I do the bulk of the shopping. Thanks for the sample bunch.

LOVE. *I purchased these to taste test and review. It was to make rocky road for Christmas. My son chopped everything up and got it ready and zapped the chocolate in the microwave. I was on shell the pistachio duty. We taste tested them and they were fresh, salty and had a creamy yummy texture. Shelling is lots of fun and love the extra work to earn my pistachio. Keeps them fresh and protected from breaking up. Don't forget to upcycle your shells. Put them in the garden to keep creepy crawlies off your plants. Use them to decorate a card or make a necklace. Naturally tasty. I love Bunch for so many reasons, and one of those reasons is getting to try new things. Especially when it comes to things I would not normally try. Today it is Pistachio nuts. They come in an easy-to-locate bag in the bagged nut area in Woolies, are well-priced, and are a product of Australia. Having never tried them before, I checked with Mrs. Shepherd to see how they rated in comparison, and I received the thumbs up. They aren't overly salted (I'm guessing the salt landed mainly on the shell), which is also a good thing for health reasons, but they are still tasty. Unfortunately, they aren't shelled and ready to eat by the handful and I like to do, so be prepared for a bit of a mess when eating. Definitely worth a re-purchase.

Can't stop with just a few . I find that I can't just stop with a few of these pistachios nuts. Pistachios Nuts are my absolute favourite nut. The pack was easy to find in the Dried Nut section, next to the chips. The pistachio nut shell was easy to remove, just slip my nail under it, and of it pops off The salt is a perfect balance with the nuts. The packaging said "roasted to perfection" Which I agree 100 % The pistachio nuts where very fresh, crunchy and so so tasty At $7. 00 for 250g is great value, as you get quite a few nuts in the bag. The nut shells go into our compost bin, the soft plastic bag can go back to Woolies Recycling Bin. I will definitely purchase again.
