Better value than fresh skim milk. I use a lot of milk at my house, and do prefer to buy the skim milk, but as it only comes in 1L bottles in store brands I usually end up buying the "Lite" milk 2-3L bottles. Knowing I was going to try the powdered milk, I kept a couple of empty milk cartons to put this into. I added powder and some water to a protein shaker bottle, mixed then poured into the milk bottle. I repeated this a few times to get the amount of powder needed to make 2-3L of milk. Then I simply topped up the milk bottle and, gave it a quick shake, then left overnight to get fridge cold. It has a nice taste in cereal, protein shakes and instant coffee. I've used it in mashed potato and seems to be fine. Still tasted fine. $8 for 10L of milk is good value, though it does require a small amount of effort to prepare, and may get messy.

Skim milk powder. I was really surprised at how my family enjoyed this sample. Woolies instant Skim milk power is made in Australia using Australian milk. One pack makes 10 litres of skim milk suitable for ages two plus. It costs $8 which is less than fresh/UHT milk. I was at a loss of how I would use a powered milk as we would usually use fresh or UHT milk. The package contained a serving suggestions for a breakfast smoothie which we tried (changed the recipe slightly) and loved. Powdered milk is handy to take travelling or to have in the cupboard for when there is food shortages etc. However the packaging isn't recyclable or resealable. It's unlikely that my family would use 10L of milk in one go so these features I would want if purchasing again.

Milk pantry staple. I'm not sure if we will get through the whole pack quick enough, but this was a great sample to receive. For $8 per pack, it makes up to 10litres of milk. 1cup of milk powder = 1 litre of milk. Sometimes I run out of milk because we can't be bothered driving the 20 minutes to the nearest shop. Normally I get the UHT milk to have as a back up, but the powdered milk is a good option. I read someone said to chill it overnight, and that actually makes a big difference to the flavour. It wasn't as creamy as whole milk but it definitely wasn't too watery, so no problem to drink in my coffee. I also use a couple of spoons dry in my mashed potato with butter and a bit of water, whisk in and you have the creamiest smoothest mash. You're welcome I decant ... MoreMilk pantry staple. I'm going to buy again when we have used this sample up.

Better for baking. Adding to the list of samples I have been putting off… tada! Skim milk powder! makes 10Litres of milk✅high in calcium no artificial colours or flavours At the time that I collected this, it was during the product shortages earlier in the year so it took a few weeks to restock. Since that time I have seen it regularly with its pink, easy to spot packaging. I like that it has a recipe for a breakfast smoothie on the back. It is an Australian product ✅ The packaging notes for it to be specifically to be binned and has a 4. 5 health star rating The milk was very easy to make. It has a recipe for both 1 cup and 1 litre mixtures. I made the cup recipe, which is 1/4 powder to 1/2 cold water and stir until dissolved, adding additional water to the 1 cup measure once it has been dissolved. The powder dissolved easily into the water and took on a milk consistency. Taste wise, it wasn’t very nice, even making sure my water was fresh from the fridge it had a weird taste. A bit sweet but not in a nice way. My first try was with my breakfast cereal. It was not good, that taste completely deterred from the taste of the cereal though it does have a great milky texture. My second try of the product was in our bread maker. Perfect! No complaints, the bread was as expected and no weird tastes. So my recommendation - for baking only
Handy to have but kids didn't like it. Other than baby formula, I had never bought powdered milk before and wasn't too sure what to expect from it. I didn't have any trouble finding it in store. The instructions on the back of the bag were easy to follow and they give instructions for both 250ml of milk and 1 litre of milk. I made my kids a fruit smoothie with it and didn't tell them that it was powdered milk. They enjoyed their smoothie so I thought they liked the milk. Later though, I realised that if the powdered milk wasn't mixed with something, like a smoothie and just drank on it's own or with the kids cereal, they wouldn't eat/drink it and complained that it tasted strange. In the end I used it a bit with cooking, when I made lasagna cheese sauce and in a couple of cakes. It's a way of using it up and no one is yet to complain about it. For $8 I think it's good value for money and it is something that would be handy to have in the back of the cupboard for when you run out of fresh milk or if you're going away somewhere. My family would prefer the long life milk over this though. It's a Product of Australia and has no artifical colours, flavours or preservatives. It also has a 4. 5 health star rating, which is good. Thank you Bunch for giving me the opportunity to sample this product, but it's not something I'll be purchasing again in the future.
Handy Pantry Staple. I bought this packet of milk powder during the endless stay at home periods in 2020 and 2021. Figured it will come in handy when fresh milk is unavailable for cereals and hot beverages. It tastes just fine. Was expecting reconstituted powdered milk to be weird but was pleasantly surprised. The milk powder dissolves nicely in room temperature water, without any lumps. 1 litre of milk powder makes 10 litres, or so the packet says. That's good value. Australian made and 4. 5 star health rating, what's not to like? Only wished the pack was resealable. I do not have a large enough air tight container to store it.
Best product ever! My beautiful Nan put me onto powdered milk when I first moved out of home as I had the best intentions however most of my fresh milk ended up down the drain as I couldn't get through even a 1 litre container. After about a year of wasting milk I tried the powdered version and never looked back. Being able to make up the quantity of milk that you actually need as you go along is fabulous and it really is the best product ever as there is no wastage. I really love the skim factor as milk can create unwanted gas for some however this doesn't for us. Also for me I have an aversion to fat so I find this Skim Milk Powder to be more friendly on my stomach too. This packet makes up 10 litres at a cost of $7-50 which is priced well as we generally need 2 packets each year so I think our milk supply for the year is pretty good at $15 when you compare it against buying it fresh. The skim milk powder keeps fresh in an airtight container for a long time. I use it for many things in my baking, milkshakes or anything that requires milk. It's my go to milk and I would never buy fresh again. My only bugaboo is the packet in that it has to be disposed via the bin. If you could please work on packaging to be returned to the store then this would be most lovely.
Surprisingly good. I like this product, I actually would not buy full cream milk powder as this skim milk powder is surprisingly rich. I have tried the FC one before, and the difference is minimal. I mixed as per instructions making 2 cups of milk in a jug with 1 cup of powder, that is the ration onthe packet. I tasted it, seems a tad sweet but not overly sweet, I just was surprised to taste any sweetness at all. This will be handy in the fridge when I run out of my normal hi lo milk. Tonight I will have a hot chocolate using it. I will also try the smoothie recipe on the back of the package. Thanks for this a very handy back up in the pantry. Ok but prefer fresh. I ran out of milk over the weekend & figured I would make some up to try, & to save me going to the shop. The first batch I made according to the directions but it seemed a bit too watery, the next I added a bit more powder & was better. I couldn't drink a straight glass of just the milk, it was ok for coffee but my kids won't use it at all. I think I will keep this to use in my baking, but still handy to have & use in my coffee in a pinch. I may purchase to keep handy in the pantry, but I do also have UHT milk also just in case the kids use the last of the fresh milk & I have something to put in my morning coffee without having to run to buy more when I wake up. I'm not so great until after my first coffee.
Great for smoothies and protein shakes. I tried this with instant coffee. I made the milk beforehand with cold water as the powder curdles with hot water. Also tried this in my protein shake and it thickened it nicely. I think this is the best use of the product, in cold drinks when you can throw it in the blender with the other ingredients, you don't need to prepare it first. Convenient to have in case you run out of milk. Also great value as 1 kg makes 10 litres. Need to store in an air tight container as the powder goes everywhere if not kept upright in its packaging.
