I don't recommend these! I bought these for the first time last week and was very disappointed. The chicken had a bit of taste but was so spongy and waterlogged I really wondered what it was I was actually eating! It was very, very processed! It's not a traditional Kiev recipe, as the filling inside was more like a white sauce than a garlic butter. The sauce was lacking flavour and was an odd texture. We need to taste the garlic!! So why am I giving it 2 points? They had a lovely coating that was crispy and had some taste. Wouldn't recommend them and won't be buying them again!!

Super Sized Processed Nugget. I have had a chicken Kiev at a restaurant once and tired Woolies version of a Kiev from the deli once and now this pack was a first for me and a last. So the pack is easy to find in the chilled prepacked meat section, big $8 price tag on it so I was expecting something amazing hoping for proper chicken meat, like a breast stuffed with garlic and coated in a crunchy crumb... ah dreams, some times they are just forever dreams! Each Kiev is decent in size, definitely only need one per person so portion size is great. I threw two in the oven and they took about thirty minutes to get crunchy, half way through some of the garlic stuffing started to ooze out and made a mess, oh well. I threw two in the oven and they took about thirty minutes to get crunchy, half way through some of the garlic stuffing started to ooze out and made a mess, oh well. It smelt like a chicken nugget so I go out the pickle'naise mayo in hope that my partner could get through one by drowning it in mayo. Upon cutting into my over sized nugget it looked really processed and yuck. It made me feel like I was back in the late 90s sneaking away from school to get some chicken nuggets for a bit of a thrill. Taste wise definitely has a chicken nugget taste which I think is more due to the crumbing that it is coated in as it has that old school Maccas nugget smell and taste. The "meat" itself was bland and didn't look like chicken. The stuffing inside wasn't very garlic like at all and tasted of a mild buttery garlic and slight cheese taste to it... meh! My partner wasn't impressed, I wasn't impressed, but we got through it!It says that the product has been thawed for my convenience, how kind, but I am the type of person who will throw things into a freezer even if it says not to. Well.... this product definitely should not go back in the freezer! I tried the other two a few days later and basically once thawed out they were like mush, very watery. Once baked up the "meat" basically was dissolving and really squishy and mushy, it was really odd, but the bin didn't seem to mind! So please do not re-freeze this terrible product. By the way we did eat the first two about four hours prior to going to the gym but my partner kept burping garlic and chicken at the gym, so it doesn't seem to work too well for him. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. For $8 you are getting nothing but processed meat that tastes bland, has a terrible cheap nuggets smelling tasting crumb, and the garlic is nothing to write home to about. Save your $8 and invest that into some chicken thighs or breasts that you can flatten and create your own Keivs that will taste better and be better for you. If you are lacking time then a Kiev is not the right choice for your time poor lifestyle. This item needs to be deleted off of the system.

Mrs H doesnt eat processed chicken products but commented how nice they were and enjoyed them a lot said the garlic wasnt overpowering the meal was complimented with woolies Greek salad mix and some fried rice i whipped up was a great meal bunch team. I was pleasantly surprised with this creamy garlic chicken kiev was great value very tasty and easy preperation. We would certainly by these again. I give these 5 stars. Would be great to take travelling in the motorhome

Decent feed. Thank you BunchTeam for another great item to sample Easy to find in the meat section, the clear tray and film allows you to see the product within. The image of the product depicts a lovely golden crumb with herbs throughout and although a little blurry, it looks like real chicken. Quite appealing I had specks of what could be herb on mine, but nothing like the image on the pack. Admittedly, I had it in the fridge for 2-3 days before I went to cook it, but I did not expect the crumb to become wet and it was quite oily to touch. To be honest, not sure if it looked wet when I picked it up in the store, or that was because I had left it in the fridge. The wetness no doubt comes from the fact that this was "Thawed for your convenience" - and I SOOOO disagree with that statement. I would have loved to have bought this either frozen, or been able to freeze some of it as I don't have a family to share with. I also love how it says "Not suitable for home freezing" - does that mean I can take it to work and freeze there? Made in Australia from at least 85% AU ingredients (almost there Woolies). RSPCA approved farming with a 3. 5 Health Star Rating Tray is recyclable Film is destined for landfill No artificial colours or flavours but the same can't be said for the preservatives It went onto the a tray with baking paper - no extra oil as noted in the instructions, as it already felt oily. 25min later it did not seemed cooked, so left it for a little longer. The result gave me a crunchy crumb that adhered to the chicken. Moist moulded chicken inside with a creamy centre that lacked garlic. I was a little upset to find that this was a moulded chicken (there's probably a better word for it, but my brain has taken a break) product and not chicken breast or thigh fillet, but the texture was much better than you find in chicken nuggets. The meat was white and not too spongy. Didn't find any bones or cartilage and rather enjoyed it. Would I buy again - probably not. I prefer the taste and texture of real chicken, not this mish mash version, but it does make for a quick and simple dinner, that I think even kids would enjoy - after all - it is just a massive nugget

A quick kiev, but not the best. I am a big fan of Chicken Kievs so was really keen to give these a go. I wasn't expecting a full chicken breast, so wasn't surprised when these had minced chicken rather than a whole piece of chicken. The filling was well flavoured, but rather thicker than I prefer. It was also very creamy, so perfect for those who tend to prefer a much creamier filling. However there was a good amount of it, unlike some kievs which can tend to be a little on the stingy side when it comes to the filling. The cooking instructions were clear and the chicken, when cooked, was done perfectly. It remained moist, with a crispy exterior. The Best. I loved this item. So many plusses... when cooking in the airfryer the cream didn't ooze out like so many other brands and it took only 25 minutes in the airfryer at 200 degrees for it to be ready. I had vegetables in the basket, so very easy to make a full meal. The coating was nice and crispy, chicken juicy (not dry at all!) and the amount of garlic cream was just right when I cut into it. Enough to coat the chicken but not too much to get over your clothes when you cut. The chicken was a good amount and the right thickness (not stingy). Next time I will have with mashed potato and vegetables - so good. I will definitely buy again and highly recommend to others!PS... If using the airfryer only need a small amount of oil spray. Try it!

Quick and easy chicken dinner BUT Where's the sauce ? I did find the sample was little tricky to find at my local. There are 2 variety's of this boneless kiev available in store one being this one with the creamy garlic filling and the other with a creamy cheese and ham filling. I found that there were quite a few of the cheese and ham filling ones displayed but none of the creamy garlic, Upon checking I noticed 1 packet but right at the back of shelf but had to put my arm in to try and get it and when I did get it I was relieved it was the creamy garlic version. The kievs looked great, packaged well. We had the kievs tonight just with some chips for a simple and quick dinner. I loved that it was so quick and easy to prepare. No fuss dinner so as a busy family this was a win. We used our air fryer to cook them and it only took 20 Mins with some chips. The kievs looked great once cooked with a nice coating on them. I enjoyed the coating as it had a lovely crunch to it. The actual chicken itself tasted processed but it wasnt too bad the real disappointment for us was the creamy sauce inside as it smelt so good but upon cutting it there was barely any sauce in any of them and one kiev had no sauce at all which was very strange. I did end up taking a photo of the kiev which had no sauce in it, it was a shame as the garlic sauce was really nice but needed much more. Unfortunately I would not personally buy these again. The good thing was it was so quick and easy so a great meal for a quick family dinner or for someone thats in a rush but it definitely needs more sauce the more the better. Thank you bunch for the opportunity to try this.

Mild Flavour. Knowing that these were made from Processed Chicken my expectations weren’t that high but to my surprise I didn’t mind them and quite enjoyed. The texture was slightly rubbery which was to be expected and for my tastebuds the garlic cream was on the milder side and could have been stronger in flavour but for some it would be fine. I’m not a fan of things being already thawed for my convenience and found upon opening the packet that there was liquid in the bottom making the crumbs extremely soggy and coming away from the Chicken. So before cooking I had to add some Panko breadcrumbs to the base. The cooking instructions of 25minutes was spot on for my oven and the Chicken came out nice and golden. Reasonably priced at $8 for 4 Kiev’s and found that the proportion size was quite adequate with only needing 1 per adult. Such a pity they cannot be frozen at home as some sole or smaller households might not be able to immediately use and would prefer the option to freeze for a later date. I decided to cook them all so as I could use the leftovers in wraps the following day, which did taste quite nice cold. My preference is still for a traditional Kiev made with a fresh Chicken Breast and Butter but as this is definitely a quick and convenient product I would consider having them again if I needed something in a hurry. I appreciated the opportunity to taste these as it’s something that I haven’t previously had before.

Not as good as they looked. I was impressed by the appearance of these kiev’s. In the packet you could see they are well crumbed with visible spices. Those spices created an inviting aroma especially whilst cooking. Only one of my kiev’s oozed a little which can be seen in the photo. Compared to other processed kiev’s, these are quite solid and only had a small centre for the filling being a garlic sauce which I thought was delicious. Unfortunately the chicken was flavourless so I felt the kiev’s needed more filling. I also found the texture of the chicken rubbery, chewy and hard to cut with a butterknife. Easy meal but not a hit for me personally. I like that they are made in Australia - go Woolworths, keep it up!! I like that the tray is recyclable and the plastic went into the soft plastics for recycling. Packaging and label are good, clear bright photograph of the kieves, easy to read instructions printed on the back. Serves are generous without being too little or too much. Cooking is straightforward and simple. I used a brush and put a very thin coat of olive oil on some greaseproof paper and baked mine on the fan assist setting. They cooked crisply and in the time specified, turned a nice golden brown. I served them with mashed potato and steamed vegetables. My Mum enjoyed hers, said it had a delicate taste and was crunchy. I found it hard to review flavour wise as I'm having sinus issues and I couldn't really smell it let alone taste anything. I do not like formed meat but at least the crumbs were thin and not mushy or too thick. The price is fair but I dont think I would purchase these again. Thank you bunch for the chance to try these, I was very curious as to what they were like. Perhaps if some herbs could be added to the crumbs that would improve the flavour, just a thought.
