A popular oil, but not for me. I decided many years ago, not to use sunflower oil in my cookingI used this sunflower oil to shallow fry some fritters I made from leftover pastina and vegetables. Sunflower oil is very mild tasting, has a higher smoke point than many other oils, and is readily available and fairly cheap compared to other oils. Frying the fritters resulted in a slightly crispy coating, though seemed to absorb more oil than usualEasy to find on the shelf; easy to open lid (no plastic ring pull like many other oil brands)Not a fan of sunflower personally as I prefer other oils for cooking, but ok for those who like it

Good oil for cooking and frying. The Sunflower oil is 750ml for the $4. 50 plastic bottle. We buy sunflower oil for deep frying and also use for cooking along with other oils. This oil has a mild flavour and is good for daily cooking for me. I used it to fry some lamb mince and peas, and also combined it with Australian mustard oil for my dal gravy. I also used this oil to cook some potatoes and lady’s finger. It is packed in Australia from imported ingredients. The sunflower oils I buy all have country of origin on them, so it’s good to know the origin and them make your purchase decision. Cost wise it works out almost to what we pay for the 4 l sunflower oil we buy. I would consider buying this if I knew where it’s from. Sunflower Oil. This was easy enough to find on the shelf with all the other oils. Priced @$4. 5 for 750ml is good. It has a 4 HSR also good. Packed in Australia from imported ingredients. Bottle and cap are recyclable. Comparing the nutritional information against the oil I'm using now they are very similar. Have never used sunflower oil before so the testing was going to interesting. First up I made a gluten free loaf of bread which has oil in it, wasn't keen on the end product so will stick to using coconut oil in it, next cooking tea with it, it cooked the meal the same as the other oil I use there was no difference. Would I buy it again, I'm still on the fence there I'll wait until I've used it all up and then decide. Thank you bunch for the opportunity to try ... MoreSunflower Oil. Oi Oi Oil. First time using Sunflower oil and its actually really good. I like that it has virtually no flavour as it doesn't overpower like olive oil does. Good for cooking and also for making salad dressings. I am sure if I google I would find lots more to do with this. $4. 50 for the 750 ml bottle and it will take me a long time to get through this bottle so good value. Packed in Australia from overseas ingredients. Racking my brain trying to think of where they grow sunflowers for commercial use.

Great Sizzle. $4. 50 for 750 ml and easy to find with other oils. After steaming these dumplings I added some oil to get a nice crispy brown base. It did a good job, I got a good colour and they were nice and crispy with no discernible oil taste. I love cabbage, onion chilli ️ and bacon as an accompaniment to my dumplings and have dipping sauces of soy sauce and sriracha This sunflower oil is packaged here from 100% imported oil. I usually use Aussie EVOO for cooking and will stick with that rather then buy imported oil, so not a repeat buy for me.

A great pantry staple that has many uses. I don't usually buy Sunflower Oil but was pleasantly surprised as it worked a treat for so many things I used it in. I make what in my family is known as Crazy Cake. I made a gingerbread one and it made the cake moist without giving it an oily taste. I also used it to cook with and in a salad dressing for my bean salad and again it worked a treat. It is light in flavour and is a good oil to have in the pantry. Packed in Australia but from imported ingredients. Where from? Who knows! And I would like to know. And yes I may buy this one again especially if I knew where the ingredients came from.

Versatile, budget friendly oil. Woolworths Sunflower oil, found readily in store on a lower shelf. Packed in Australia from undisclosed origins. $4. 50 per 750ml plastic recyclable bottle. I used this in a batch of banana, date and rum muffins for afternoon tea. No discernible difference in taste. Visitors enjoyed the muffins. Not something I would use again so remainder given to a neighbour who uses this oil regularly. Often cited as a versatile oil suitable for baking or cooking. Is light in colour with a subtle flavour. Is suggested as a suitable substitute for canola or extra virgin olive oil. Thanks for the sample Woolworths, appreciate the opportunity to try.

Very nice product. I would buy. I fried some beer battered fish and potato chips with this oil. The chips were very crunchy on the outside and creamy in the middle. The fish was well cooked and very tasty as well. It was heated to a high temperature and did not burn. I usually use Olive oil but I would buy this as it is a good product. It is priced well and has good taste. The food cooked was not over-oily and had a good texture after cooking in Woolworths Sunflower oil.

Equal to the others. I used this for frying and there is no difference between this and the rest of the branded stuff out there. Our chips (French fries) tasted just like normal. Great flavour. And looking at the back, I don't really see any difference between this and other brands. Both bottle and cap are recyclable. Lost one star since it does not mention country of origin of the ingredients. Thank you Bunch for the opportunity to taste-test this.

Affordable frying oil. This is the first time I am using sunflower oil as I normally use olive oil. It's a pleasant surprise and live up to the expectation of 'great frying oil' as indicated on the label. I normally use olive oil to fry garlic for my toss instant noodles. However, this time I tried sunflower oil and found it more fragrant than olive oil. The price point of $4. 50 (750ml) is fantastic compared to other brands which is about $6 (750ml). Good that Woolworths sunflower oil has at least 4 stars health rating and packed in Australia.
