Good, but not Australian enough. I liked this sauce for what it is, a cheap bulk sauce. If you need a lot of sauce and want to pay a mere $4 for the whole 2L, then you can't go wrong. Compared to other similar standard sauces, this one is every bit as good and probably better than most. Taste is nice, colour is ok, and it's just a good solid standard sauce. If you are used to substantially more expensive ones, then you are likely to find it not quite rich enough and a little thin, but to get that you are probably paying 4 times more. Only real complaint is the 17% Australian ingredients, I think these times call for a higher amount, but I bet price would then suffer, although this might be a fair trade-off to make.

OK but not a game changer. I would not normally buy store brand in sauce as I am more a ketchup fan as I like the thickness to a sauce. Gave it a try and it was OK, just a bit runny for my taste. Taste was on par with other tomato sauces. I think I have had many bad experiences with store brand sauces in the past, so this didn't persuade me to go away from Rosella. I was always a fan of Dick Smith tomato sauce, that was the best. Also not good that tomatoes aren't from Australia and it has a lot of salt, but I guess that is most sauces these days. Great size and price for bigger families. I always add tomato sauce into my spaghetti bolognese for a bit of extra flavour. Anyone tried that? I can recommend it.

On a par with branded sauce. Tomato sauce is not something I eat from one year to the next but I decided to try a few foods with sauce added. My first action was to decant a small jar out of the container for my taste tests. The rest of the 2L was given to my neighbour for her husband and young lad to use as it is enormous amount for someone who does not usually eat a lot of it. Over the years I have helped out at many a sausage sizzle and although I do not add sauce to my chippies or steak sandwich, I have had enough experience to go by the aroma. It is not sickly sweet or tart and that was a big plus for me. The actual eating was via a pasta with some cheese added (plus the usual salt and pepper) and about half a cup poured over the concoction. Next time I will ... MoreOn a par with branded sauce. Most people would use tomato sauce in a very different way. In my limited experience of trying the product it is something I would contemplate buying at a future date.

A great tasting sauce. This sauce is always in my pantry. Besides the usual steak, chops, sausages, I’ve used it on pizza bases, in gravies, curries, soups stews, casseroles. There are so many uses for this sauce that it doesn’t take too long to use a two litre bottle. It’s easy to top up a squeeze bottle which makes it more economical rather than buying the squeeze bottles of sauce regularly. At $4. 70 for a 2litre bottle compared to $1. 50 for a 500ml squeeze bottle ( works out to be $6. 00 for 2litres ) you are saving $1. 30. Made in Australia from17% Australian ingredients. My favourite tomato sauce.

Don't be afraid this is GREAT Tomato Sauce! I wasn't sure what it would be like... I had been using name brand for so long but I took the plunge and Wow I was IMPRESSED. It is great Tomato Sauce. Saves me heaps of $$$ especially when I look at the usage over a year! If you haven't tried it yet give it a go I think you will be glad you did. And it is also made in Australia so double win in my book!

Unexpectedly Yum. We gave up tomato sauce in our household a while ago. So I was reluctant to redeem this as we have a toddler who I knew would go crazy over this. We gave up tomato sauce in our household a while ago. So I was reluctant to redeem this as we have a toddler who I knew would go crazy over this. Unexpectedly the sauce has become a pantry staple. After googling some recipes are now added to our Bolognese, when giving it to the toddler I add it to Greek yoghurt to make it a healthier sauce and a lot of Malaysian cooking require a squirt of tomato sauce. The source taste like childhood memories a little tart and a bit sweet it’s just a shame that it’s not made in Australia.

Goes with everything. There’s nothing much I can say about this tomato sauce because it tastes just the same as the branded one that I’m using, only that it is cheaper. Has a balanced taste of sweetness and sourness. It will probably depend on your own taste buds. Would recommend people to shake well before using. Every time I buy sauces, I usually shake them just so I know that the contents are mixed well. Would recommend people to do the same with this tomato sauce because it tends to get watery when stored upright for such a long time. This is ideal for big families or for people who like having tomato sauce with anything. 2L bulk buy is good, you can just refill your smaller bottles. You can easily have some packed for picnics, etc. I personally love tomato ... MoreGoes with everything. There’s only 2 people in my household, including me. So we’re going to have tomato sauce for daaayyyssss!Thank you Woolworths, thank you Bunch!

Familiar tasting sauce. I was quite surprised to get this 2lt sauce sample, it is a lot of product for us and will take us a while to finish. But we will give it a good shot. We normally use one of the brand name sauces and when I tasted this one it tasted exactly the same. I wouldn't be surprised if it was bottled on the same production line. Easy to find with all the other sauces. As I said, being only a 2 person household, 2lt is too big for us so we would stick to buying the smaller size. Plus it needs to be refrigerated after opening and will use up space in the fridge for a long time. But having said that a larger family would not have this problem and the economic bulk buy would be an advantage. Only 17% Australian content so a bit disappointing on that front, the one I normally purchase has 98% Aussie content. It has a 2. 5 star health rating which is probably on par with any other brand. A good product on taste, if you're into supporting Australia a bit low on Australian content. Still gets a two thumbs up from me.. ..

Tasty and perfect texture. Thought I would let the kids do the taste test for this sauce as they are the expert taste testers for tomoto sauce in our family. I did a cheerio taste test with our usual organic tomato sauce and the woolies sauce. They both preferred the darker woolies red colour compared to the bright red organic sauce colour. Both kids loved the woolies tomato sauce the best. I was a little surprised to be honest (I didn’t tell them which was which) so I tasted them myself and I have to agree with them. We all agreed the woolies tomato sauce had a more tomato flavour and was tastier. The kids liked that it was runnier. My little Tomato sauce lovers have chosen and woolies is the winner!
