Good option. This product was easy to find at the canned seafood section of the store. There were plenty in stock. I enjoyed this tuna, it tasted quite good and it was not overly oily. The texture was meaty and flaky making it a good choice to add to sandwiches and salads. This product is currently priced at $1. 40 for a 95g can. It has a health star rating of 3. 5. Product is packed in Thailand from multiple origins. Thanks bunch for giving me the opportunity to try this sample. I will consider purchasing this tuna again as it's quite good value for money.

Will buy this again. We normally buy John West or Woolies own Skipjack tuna in springwater. Yellowfin tuna tastes milder than skipjack. For the 95g tin at $1. 30 there was a lot of tuna in it and not much oil (so was quite dry) but this was good for us as we drained it off and added mayonnaise. This would easily make two sandwiches. My husband tested this when I put it on his sandwiches for lunch, he said it was delicious. We will now buy this in preference. Made in Thailand from multiple origins. Dolphin friendly and FAD free (tuna caught without aggregating devices). Star rating 3. 5

Enjoyable tuna, good quality. Not one to usually buy large tins of tuna, I knew I would have to make a bigger meal than just some tuna on crackers or toast Easily located amongst the tuna section of Woolies, it looks like quite a large tin too. Photo taken next to a regular 85g tin of tuna for size comparison. Appealing yellow and green labelling, The ring pull on the tin was easy to open and the tin was packed to the brim with tuna. I drained the oil that it was in, which actually didn’t seem like too much as there was still quite a lot of tuna left in the tin. It had a typical tuna aroma to it which was appetising. The tuna was in good large chunks that needed breaking apart when adding to my pasta dish. I prefer this over the sometimes mushy watery flaky tuna you ... MoreEnjoyable tuna, good quality. The tuna tasted great and nothing I wouldn’t have expected. It complemented the pasta bake sauce as well as the wholemeal pasta spirals that we used. Packed in Thailand from multiple origins, I wish we could find out more information about their origin. Nice Tuna. I had this for my lunch today with some crisp bread. When I open the lid, there's a nice big chuck of tuna in it, not like other brands, the tuna was already flaked and there is more oil in it than fish. I did not add any pepper or salt in it as the seasoning was just right for me. It was delicious, it is as good as any well-known brands. The ingredients are tuna, extra virgin oil and sunflower oil, they look like healthy ingredients but it has only a 3. 5 star health rating, this could be due to the higher percentage of sunflower oil than the olive oil in the can. I read that too much sunflower oil may be negative for our health, but consuming small amounts of sunflower oil may provide marginal benefits for heart health. Delicious quality convenient well priced. With “Yellowfin Tuna in oil” on the front of the yellow and green tin it’s was easily recognisable from the other brands. The tuna tasted delicious just like tuna should, and it wasn’t too dry like some tuna brands. out there The oil in this tuna is a combination of sunflower oil and olive oilWhen making a sandwich I try and drain as much oil away from the tuna. But when making my Penne, Tomato & Green Bean pasta dish, I used the oil from the tin instead. And also when making a tuna salad I like to use a little of the oil in my salads dressing too Normally I buy brand name tuna, though since trying this “Yellowfin Tuna” I’m convinced it’s just as good as name brands. Nice chunky tuna. Really nice tuna. Chunky tuna rather than the mushy stuff you get with some of the other brands. The yellow fin has a much better taste than the skipjack tuna that is in some other similar products. The tuna was also not too oily and not dry. Was great on a sandwich and would be nice in a salad. Nice to see that the tuna is responsibly sourced and dolphin friendly. Would like it to be MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) Certified and a product of Australia (which I don't believe many canned fish varieties are) as produced in Thailand from multiple origins isn't very helpful or reassuring. Otherwise a nice tasting and convenient product.

Budgeter’s and dieter’s friend. I always purchased the named brand equivalent at double to triple the cost. For what? For the past few years this little $2 cheapie is the only tuna that goes into my shopping trolley as I have found it to be outstanding in every way. Always located on the lowest shelf and adorned with the classic green and yellow Woolies label, it’s easy to find. I do double check that the tuna is not packed in water as the cans are side by side and sometimes get mixed. This tuna is packed in Thailand and caught in the Pacific Ocean like lots of other brands. The can has a ring pull that makes it easy to open and the whole tin is recyclable. The tuna itself is always in large pale flakes and I have never experienced finding anything other than this. ... MoreBudgeter’s and dieter’s friend. Tuna is high in protein and omega 3 and low in calories. It is a really versatile ingredient as it can be eaten as it is in a salad, mixed with a dressing in melts or as a sandwich filling or used in fish cakes, a mornay to name just a few. It suits breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bonus is convenience and long, unrefrigerated storage. Salads of all types is our favourite use. A 185g can, drained, easily serves 2. ….. $1. 00 a head … way to go!

Better than expected. The branded tuna I usually buy, tends to be a lot more expensive and rarely goes on sale. I am really picky when it comes to tuna and find most supermarket brands to not be that great in all honesty. As a result, my expectations weren’t that high before my trial, but changed quickly when I opened the tin and saw a combination of large and small chunks of tuna which tasted great - almost as good as my favourite. I decided to mix the tuna with my favourite pasta, pasta sauce and a touch of chilli making this a very healthy and nutritious meal. The price point of $2. 50 makes this tuna a very attractive alternative and one that I plan to purchase from now on.

Bought this many times. I was pleased to receive this sample as it is a tuna I have bought many times and enjoyed. We eat tinned tuna most days for lunch. This tuna can be eaten straight out of the tin which I have done numerous times, in a sandwich with salad or more simply with a scrape of mayo. Dumped on top of a salad it becomes a light meal. It has pale coloured tuna flakes which are packed with sunflower and evo oil. My hubby drains some of the oil off but I like to fork the tuna and oil together in the tin before eating it. There is a cheaper Woolworths tuna product but I like this one. Look out for the springwater (not my preferred choice) or oil varieties as the tin is similar in colour. Give it a go Bunchees, it’s a good source of omega 3.
