The car didn't work at all. We tried everything including brand new batteries. When we got it home I noticed the box was taped up on one end. When it didn't work I was going to trade it out for one that hadn't been opened. There were 7 boxes there all we're taped up. It looks like they all had been purchased at one time and probably didn't work and they were trying to resell them. I got my money back. I was telling a friend about it and they had bought the same thing last year and there's didn't work at all either. I would stay away from these cars.

This has been the most anticlimactic toy purchase that I have ever made. My daughter wanted to spend her birthday money on a Mario Bros Kart. It seemed like a no-brainer since the item looked great, but it was a tremendous dud. We opened it once we got home and they didnt have a chance to play with it until next morning since it was late. After 8 or 9 minutes of play, she asked me to help her because it would not work. I changed the batteries on the remote control and the kart itself. Next morning, I get a call from my kid that it stopped working again. I got a new set of batteries and worked again. A day later and the toy will not sync anymore. Such a beauty of a toy, but what awful quality of product. I will ask for the money back.

THE KART works! The issue is that even tho it’s brand new you have to put in a lot of work, unfortunately. You have to put new batteries in & take the old ones out. We were disappointed at first bc it took me an hour to get it to finally connect & work. I had to put the whole thing apart bc the controller wasn’t connecting to the racer. Overall I do think it’s a cool toy & it functions just an inconvenience to have to go through all of that on a BRAND new toy. Check YouTube it helped me to fix the connection issue. If it didn’t have all these issues upon buying it I would recommend it but otherwise I don’t. If you don’t mind going through all of this just to get it to work then go for it.

Very disappointed. Quite working after less than 2 hours of use. Was a Christmas present for a 5 year old, and Santa's workshop really let him down. Returned to CTC for another, and I tried it out before Santa replaced it to my Grandson. It again quit working after 5 minutes. All batteries were new, and even replaced with other new ones. Also checked each time to make sure batteries were installed correctly, and making contact. Still not working. Good thing I checked the 2nd one first, hopefully my Grandson has forgotten about it and moved on. Canadian Tire did accept return on both with full refund and were apologetic.
The forward control did not work on the remote. I exchanged the toy at the store for a second one. The second car did not work, after replacing the AA batteries in the car. Upon closer inspection, the AA batteries that came with the car have a slightly taller positive button terminal. Most standard AA batteries like Duracell and Energizer have a shorter positive terminal button. Many reviewers note that the car did not work after they replaced the batteries. The problem is that most standard AA batteries will not make contact with the metal contacts in the battery compartment in the car. I used my Dremel drill to machine the battery compartment to allow the batteries to make better contact with the metal contacts in the battery compartment. The car works again. This is a poorly designed and built toy. I do not recommend spending the time to fix this thing. Do not buy this remote controlled car.
I, too was like many that had the problem of it stop working after a short time. As I was about to throw it away, my husband told me to take the batteries out because he figured we had the rechargeable batteries. Upon checking, it was some off brand batteries that were light as a feather. My husband decided to check the level of the batteries, and behold it was completely dead. After installing fresh batteries into the toy, it works like new. Check your batteries, people. This toy definitely can drain some batteries.
I purchased one first, and I automatically opened to add batteries cause it says batteries are not included. When I opened it there was brown liquid stuff and crusty brown things. I'm assuming it's battery acid. So I took out batteries and cleaned it up. Ran to CVS purchased Duracell just to find out it wasn't working. I think the liquid did some damage. I had to go return that one and get another one. In the parking lot I opened it up and changed the batteries and it WORKED! Went home and my 4yr old love it. He is obsessed over it. I do feel like I need to purchase more batteries cause it does run somewhat fast and I know that has to take batteries. It takes 6 batteries in the car and 2 for the remote. I love the anti gravity setting and the 360°. I knew that was ... MoreI purchased one first, and I automatically opened to add batteries cause it says batteries are not included. The toy did not work, it was described incorrectly. When I received the toy, the packaging was damaged and the box was bend and crumbling. My grandson was very disappointed and so was I. The price of this toy was too expensive to be received in this condition and not working. The packaging actually looked like a return from Christmas’22. I will be returning it today. This is the 2nd one that I have purchased, exact same toy in the exact same condition.
My 7 year old son cried tears of joy when he opened this present on Christmas morning. After patiently waiting for us to be able to open it, he finally had his opportunity to play with it a little bit later that afternoon, and the car would not move at the command of the remote. We replaced the try me batteries with fresh new batteries, and still no movement. We had to return the item to Target who is currently sold out, and after reading many reviews of consumers who have suffered the same fate as we have, I’m not certain that purchasing a second one is going to harness any different results. It seems as though the toy is consistently faulty. So what was once tears of joy will become tears of sorrow for a little boy who sorely wanted this toy, but will never be ... MoreMy 7 year old son cried tears of joy when he opened this present on Christmas morning. Bought this for my son for Christmas. Always thought the toy looked cool %26 me and my son both love the Mario games. Sadly when we opened the toy it would not work at all. (Before or after the test wire was pulled) the toy and remote both take like 8 batteries all together so I bought brand new ones, which didn’t work either. The remote would turn on and blink, the car did nothing no matter what mode it was in, no matter what batteries I used. I looked up YouTube videos %26 the only solutions I found were ones that involved taking the whole toy apart and I didn’t want to break it even more. I thought I could figure it out and maybe find someone to fix it or figure out the problem but now I think it’s too late to return it so I’m just stuck with it on the shelf.
