I first purchased this product as my elderly cat (20) started having his regular clay litter tracking all over the house and clumping terribly to his paws. I was hesitant in buying as it was more expensive than most other litters. First impression was there was very little if any dust! My cat took to it with no problem. It was late when I changed to the new litter, did not go half way, just cleaned the box by scraping the best I could and added the new. I have found this to be very low tracking, does not stick to my cat's paws and not only that.... it cleaned my box and scooper! Would give this a 5 star but I find the clumps are not always as firm as they should be. I have tried the crystal litters and like them but found you must be diligent in cleaning and ... MoreI first purchased this product as my elderly cat (20) started having his regular clay litter tracking all over the house and clumping terribly to his paws. Causes cancer!!!
5 June 2022

Wheat, corn, and corn byproduct litter can develop a fungus called “aflatoxins.” This fungus can be fatal to cats. Aflatoxins can grow in dehydrated corn or wheat when it gets damp from urine or humidity and transform into mycotoxins, which are deadly. This fungus can get on your kitty’s paw and get tracked through your house. And when she grooms herself, she’s destined to swallow a bit of it. Scariest of all, aflatoxins cause cancer. So, I considered that maybe mycotoxins are super rare and maybe I shouldn’t worry about them. So, how common are mycotoxins? More common than I realized. One study from 2016 tested almost 480 samples of dried grains and corn like those used for cat litters and 90% of the corn samples contained mycotoxin and 100% of dried grains. Both corn and wheat litters can also contain harmful herbicides. Some herbicides cause chronic bowel disease and many vets consider them carcinogenic. I lost one cat in December to intestinal cancer and my other one diagnosed Friday with intestinal cancer!!

Does the job

We switched over to this litter from an online subscription of sustainable clumping cat litter to this cat litter. Overall, after the cats got used to it, they seem perfectly happy with it. The litter seems to capture the odor, and clumps fine. The cats do trail the litter outside the box, but I've found that with most cat litter anyway, and now I just sweep it up and put it back into the litter box (hard surface floors are ideal for this). I've not tried flushing it down the toilet, so cannot comment on that aspect. Made a couple of mistakes during the switchover. This lead to a couple incidents of inappropriate elimination... 1. I just changed all the cat litter over to this new one instead of transitioning. The texture is different, and my cats certainly could tell. A spray with enzymatic cat urine cleaner and a mop helped with the clean-up. 2. I put way too much in the litter tray, all 6.35kg of it, so both cats (they are only 5kg each in weight, so medium sized) sunk into the cat litter (a bit like when you go into a ball pool), so understandably they did not like it. Fortunately I had another cat litter tray, so I halved the quantity of the cat litter between the two trays giving a depth of about 2-3 inches, and they were more comfortable with using it. Overall, it seems to be doing the job well, and seems to last just as long as my previous brand for both my 2 cats, which is about 4-6 weeks

Now my pristine floors are riddled with corn litter. I sweep and scoop numerous times a day and have had it. Much luck to everyone. Oh, it smells like poop corn. Hah I just got that!

This really is the world's Best cat litter!

This really is the world's Best cat litter! I've tried so many different types to replace the dirty, dusty, tacking clay litter I started with when I got my first cat. I've tried various paper pellets, wood pellets, silica beads and others including this one. There are pros and cons to them all but I really liked the crystal beads but I developed asthma from the silica dust. So next best type for me was this World's Best crushed corn husk litter. It clumps so it's easy to clean. There is one for multi-cats which I'm assuming clumps even better. It's natural and theres even a lavender scented one but I discovered my cat hates anything lavender so it's the plain one for us lol. The clumps are flushable, provided you make sure to let the granules soak a few minutes and expand fully before flushing away. It's not dusty and doesn't track like the clay or sand litters. It doesn't absorb odors like some of the pellet products. You only need a few inches in your litter box so even though it costs a bit more, it last a lot longer... provided you scoop your litter regularly to keep the litter as clean as possible. And since it doesn't stick to my cat's paws, she doesn't lick and ingest it like the clay litters. And if she does ingest a little, it's ok since it's corn, not clay or silica. This was originally recommended to me by someone at a rescue organization and now I recommend this brand to everyone I know.

Let me stop by saying my cat is hard on litter he has a condition which makes him drink a lot and pee a lot. I've tried all the different kinds of litters I liked silica for about 2 days until it turned into a rotten stinky mess. This makes really good hard clumps and it's very easy to scoop. You use way less than you normally would have to and it doesn't stick to anything it doesn't stick to the box it doesn't stick to the scoop. It really is a great litter I'll never buy anything else. Very lightweight, but crumbles into powder

Pros: Lightweight and easier to carry than other litters, making it great for those who live in an apartment. Flushable! This is an incredibly convenient feature, because you can just scoop it right into the toilet and save time. It doesn’t stick to the litter box as bad as most litters. Cons: It crumbles into powder after a while. My cats track it EVERYWHERE. Its all over the floor in a 3-4 foot radius of the litter boxes. It doesn’t combat the litter box smell very well. If you have two or more cats, it doesn’t last as long. The litter crumbles to powder and it starts to stink after a week or two. Overall, this litter is good especially if you are sick of hauling heavy clay litter up and down a flight of stairs. It won’t work for every household, but I’m satisfied ... MorePros: Lightweight and easier to carry than other litters, making it great for those who live in an apartment. Flushable! Your Litter Saved My Cat's Life

It's a long story but the short(er) version is my elderly cat Murphy became very sick last year. Severe gastrointestinal problems. Vet suggested it was Feline IBS. I will spare you what that adventure was like. It's been a long 10 months of juggling special foods, constant loads of laundry and the looming reality that this was likely the end of his time. I cried a lot knowing each holiday was likely his last after being with us for 17 years. His groomer suggested your litter because she kept finding litter stuck in his paws. I bought it, I used it and we loved it. It checked all the boxes. What I didn't expect was my sick cat, rapidly became healthy again. He was allergic to the clay litter! What?!?! Up until last year, he had been and indoor/outdoor cat so rarely used the litter box. We moved into an apartment last year and he started to use it 100% of the time. Your litter has given me my boy back. And likely he will be with me for many more years. I can't get the last year back and how he suffered but now we can celebrate. I just wanted you to know how important your litter has proven to be. I am grateful someone suggested World's Best Cat Litter... It really is the best ever! I have posted our story on every cat social media page I can think of, in hopes of helping someone else.
