I've got one more type of natural litter to try before I have to resort to using clay again.

Changed quality of product - I won't buy it anymor

I have been buying this litter for over 10 years, however I won't be buying this product anymore. They have changed this product over the years, but the last 3 bags I bought just did it for me. It doesn't clump, as soon as the litter comes in contact with the pee it becomes muddy, it makes a mess in the litter box and the paws of my cats comes wet, absolutely horrible!! This litter was my favorite for over 10 years, now it is the same if not worse than sweet scoop, the difference is that sweet scoop is cheaper and it comes in a 36 pound bag, yet I wouldn't use that one either so manufactures of the " world's best cat litter" you have ruined the quality of your product and by doing that you are losing loyal customers like myself as well as my friends and family. It used to be really good and it is absolutely a terrible product now and I have a old bag to prove it. I would not buy this product anymore or use it even if it's free, it is simply a terrible product now. It makes a mess, doesn't clump and it doesn't last!!

Does the job

We switched over to this litter from an online subscription of sustainable clumping cat litter to this cat litter. Overall, after the cats got used to it, they seem perfectly happy with it. The litter seems to capture the odor, and clumps fine. The cats do trail the litter outside the box, but I've found that with most cat litter anyway, and now I just sweep it up and put it back into the litter box (hard surface floors are ideal for this). I've not tried flushing it down the toilet, so cannot comment on that aspect. Made a couple of mistakes during the switchover. This lead to a couple incidents of inappropriate elimination... 1. I just changed all the cat litter over to this new one instead of transitioning. The texture is different, and my cats certainly could tell. A spray with enzymatic cat urine cleaner and a mop helped with the clean-up. 2. I put way too much in the litter tray, all 6.35kg of it, so both cats (they are only 5kg each in weight, so medium sized) sunk into the cat litter (a bit like when you go into a ball pool), so understandably they did not like it. Fortunately I had another cat litter tray, so I halved the quantity of the cat litter between the two trays giving a depth of about 2-3 inches, and they were more comfortable with using it. Overall, it seems to be doing the job well, and seems to last just as long as my previous brand for both my 2 cats, which is about 4-6 weeks

Great longetivity - smells a bit funky

This is great at clumping for a non-clay litter, it doesn't track around the house as much as other softwood litters which saves a lot of vacuuming. People that are used to clay litters might be disappointed but I'm prepared to sacrifice a bit of vacuuming for the odour control. Speaking of which, this litter smells quite strongly. I'd agree with the reviews that accuse it of smelling a bit on the chemical side. Because of that, I can't outright replace the softwood litter i normally use. (that litter at least smells identifibly of wood - i'm not really sure what 'worlds best' smells of). The dust free claim i'd agree with - looks like they suck it all out when they seal the bags. The price point is just a tad high for me as the cats use the litter box with this ... MoreThis is great at clumping for a non-clay litter, it doesn't track around the house as much as other softwood litters which saves a lot of vacuuming. The price point is just a tad high for me as the cats use the litter box with this litter the least, probably on account of the strong smell. This means I change the other 2 litter boxes more often and spend about the same on litter. $31.99 fills one large litter box. for 3 litterboxes stretched out for a month thats quite a large spend.

Horrible Strong Smell
30 June 2022

I was so excited for this litter as I have been trying to find an alternative for clay. I wanted to love it so much and kept making excuses but my cats and I absolutely hate this litter. I thought it clumped pretty well and tracked a little bit less but the smell was so strong and terrible it gave me a headache. This is even in our covered litter box that has a carbon filter! It definitely covers the smell of the urine as the litter itself from the get go has such a strong smell to it that even the closet it is stored in smells terrible. My cats tried to use it but my youngest has completely started peeing and pooping everywhere to avoid the litter box. I actually loved the litter so much that I bought the deodorizing litter baking soda to try and cover up the smell ... MoreI was so excited for this litter as I have been trying to find an alternative for clay. We scoop our litter boxes a couple times a day and take them straight outside to the trash so it is the little itself. I am wondering if I got a bad batch somehow and almost want to buy a new bag because the reviews are amazing but I can’t risk my cats hating the litter box for any longer.

I am delighted with this kitty litter. In the past I’ve used an inexpensive, very good clumping clay litter, however it was very dusty, tracked everywhere, and was SO heavy to carry into and out of the house. I went looking for something better, tried a few options before getting to the World's Best, which I’d avoided because of the cost. Imagine my delight to discover that it clumps extremely well, seems to be dust-free, and tracks far less than my old brand. AND - it is naturally sweet smelling. Bonus! As for the cost? I see that we go through less litter each week, judging by the amount that goes out to the trash (about 60% in volume compared to the old litter); my big hairy kitty doesn’t get so dusty, so needs fewer groomer visits; and I’m sure they’re breathing ... MoreI am delighted with this kitty litter. World's Best Cat Litter Low Tracking & Dust Contro
29 December 2021

Thanks to Bzzagent, I received World's Best Cat Litter Low Tracking & Dust Control, complimentary, in exchange for my honest review. The following opinions are 100% authentic and my own. So, I have one male cat, who just turned 1. He's instinctual and seems like the alpha male type. He's friendly but very expressive with his feelings, emotions, and aggressions so it was fairly simple to understand his opinions about his new litter, which I think we're indifferent. He seemed just okay with it. After this experience with our first unscented litter, I think we both agree that we prefer scented litter, and strongly scented at that! We both really like The World's Best Cat Litter brand and the litter quality is exceptional. It clumps really really well and very quickly. ... MoreThanks to Bzzagent, I received World's Best Cat Litter Low Tracking & Dust Control, complimentary, in exchange for my honest review. We both really like The World's Best Cat Litter brand and the litter quality is exceptional. It clumps really really well and very quickly. I noticed a firm hold just 1 to 2 minutes after urination. Oppositely, Even the smaller chunks that did manage to escape, which weren't many, were not terribly small and tidious, and still large enough where scooping was possible. Since the litter was unscented, I could smell some odor but very mildly and this was sort of shocking because I would have thought odor would be constant and strong with unscented litter, so WBCL has some insanely awesome odor blockers regardless if scented or not. Lastly, dust clouds were completely non-existent and post use trackage was at an all time low, thankfully so because my kitty boy typically produces litter crazed surroundings!

Your Litter Saved My Cat's Life
14 July 2022

It's a long story but the short(er) version is my elderly cat Murphy became very sick last year. Severe gastrointestinal problems. Vet suggested it was Feline IBS. I will spare you what that adventure was like. It's been a long 10 months of juggling special foods, constant loads of laundry and the looming reality that this was likely the end of his time. I cried a lot knowing each holiday was likely his last after being with us for 17 years. His groomer suggested your litter because she kept finding litter stuck in his paws. I bought it, I used it and we loved it. It checked all the boxes. What I didn't expect was my sick cat, rapidly became healthy again. He was allergic to the clay litter! What?!?! Up until last year, he had been and indoor/outdoor cat so rarely ... MoreIt's a long story but the short(er) version is my elderly cat Murphy became very sick last year. Up until last year, he had been and indoor/outdoor cat so rarely used the litter box. We moved into an apartment last year and he started to use it 100% of the time. Your litter has given me my boy back. And likely he will be with me for many more years. I can't get the last year back and how he suffered but now we can celebrate. I just wanted you to know how important your litter has proven to be. I am grateful someone suggested World's Best Cat Litter... It really is the best ever! I have posted our story on every cat social media page I can think of, in hopes of helping someone else.
