The Wrangler Cowboy Cut jean is a Western Wear icon. The original 13MWZ was made by cowboys for cowboys in 1947, and is still the jean of choice for real cowboys and working men of the West today. The Cowboy Cut jean was built to the detailed specifications of top rodeo athletes with features designed specifically for riding including heavyweight denims, broken twill weave to prevent twisted legs, rivets on all pockets, cut to fit over boots, strong double out seams and higher positioned back pockets. The 13MWZ is the only jean endorsed by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

Amazing Jeans

I was expecting just an average pair of jeans, as I've been wearing American Eagle all my life. However, there's a noticeable difference in quality between these and my other jeans. The denim is thicker and feels higher quality. The fit is nicer. The colours look great. As a 6"4' man, it's tough to find jeans that actually fit well, but the 34x36s fit me perfectly.I love the stonewash on these jeans as well. They just look awesome.

Cheap plastic elements to the garment

Cheap plastic elements to the garment I tried on my new black boot cut jeans for the first time within an hour the waist button came apart. Upon inspection I noticed that the button which should be all metal was plastic !!!!!! hey wrangler are you kidding me.? You or whoever owns your company should be ashamed of themselves. Substituting a cheap plastic element to what should be all metal to your garment is disgraceful.Of course whoever designed your products might not think it's important for one's pants to stay up while they're wearing them. Give me a break. I thought Wrangler stood for quality. Now I know better.

Fit seems way too roomy

I've worn Wrangler products (always the same size) for years. However, this November 2023 purchase seems different. WAY roomier, bigger, longer, and baggier than ever before. I bought two pair: 13MWZ and 936WBK. Each feels about 2 inches too big in the waist and several inches too long in the inseam, in addition to being completely loose in the thigh and posterior. I've never had to wear a belt with these, but now I do. Odd. Standards slipping?

Great Jeans, Shallow Pockets, Black Color yet to Test
20 September 2022

This is my third pair of Wrangler jeans of this 13MWZ model. My other pair is Bleached and one of them is a Blue. Those did me well. Other black jeans tend to have this bad chemicalish smell to them and some have even had the color fade after washing them. These do not seem to have the smell but I have not washed them yet to test if the color washes off or not. A problem that is with all the 13MWZ jeans is the shallow pockets. I love these jeans except for that. The Shallow pockets are very annoying and painful because when you place your phone in the front pocket and then bring your leg up when putting your leg up on a bench to tie shoes or walking up stairs and other areas where you bend, the phone stabs into your waist area(beltline?). I have to take care of this ... MoreThis is my third pair of Wrangler jeans of this 13MWZ model. My other pair is Bleached and one of them is a Blue. Those did me well. Great for heavy duty or just looking good in boots
20 September 2024

Consistent quality year after year. These are the only jeans the hubs will wear. They are durable, comfortable and well made. He has worn Wrangler 13MWZ since the 80’s and has never had a zipper go out or a button come off. They stand up to heavy duty work and still look good enough to go out to dinner. He literally has jeans that are 10 years or older still in fair shape.

I would buy this product again
31 May 2024

I use these jeans for everyday use around the house and work. I can't figure out one thing though. I copied the style code from a pair of jeans I had brought several months earlier that were make in Mexico. These jeans, same style code, were made in Nicaragua. I ordered the same size as those produced in Mexico. The ones made in Nicaragua were too small so had to be exchanged for the next size up. I still wear the Mexico produced jeans that are one size smaller than Nicagarua made jeans. Shouldn't it be the same template?

Low Rise, Natural Waistline?
13 June 2024

I can readily find low rise jeans, natural waistline jeans, but when are jeans companies going to list high rise jeans for mature men who don't need to attract women by showing hip bones, belly buttons or sagging?I've got money to spend but current descriptive labeling does not make it easy. And "natural waistline" is as varied as a natural hairline. Especially as men age.

These are great jeans
8 January 2024

I work with horses and hay every day (I handle 200 to 400 bales per year loading it into my barn by hand and then feeding), and these are the first jeans that I have found that hold up.I have worn Ariat, Levis, and Carhart. These are the only ones that lasted more than a year. One of my current 5 pairs are finally getting holes after 6 years. If you want hole filled jeans these are not for you. If you want jeans that last get Wrangler.

Way too tight
26 June 2024

I've been wearing 13wmz original cowboy cuts for years and thought I'd buy a bleached pair as they are hard to find in BC. When I got them they were way too tight in the leg and waist. Maybe I got fat since yesterday? I checked the label behind the zipper and they are labeled differently than a 13mwz, but wrangler has them advertised as 13mwz in their website. They are different labels and they fit totally differently despite being labeled as a 13mwz. I was disappointed because I was hoping to wear them at my wedding in a few weeks. I would have sized up had I known they weren't true 13mwz.

Working in wranglers for going on 4 years
9 August 2024

These pants are on average 20 dollars cheaper than any of the other wrangler jeans available to me locally. Previously I wore the wrangler Retros which were great for comfort but not at all durable. I decided to try the cowboy cut due to the price and I've been very satisfied. I do concrete and dirt work in them nearly every day I have about 10 pairs that I cycle in and out as they wear out. My oldest pair is just over 2 years old and they've worn in wonderfully. The pant cuffs have frayed and I've had to patch a few holes but they've been great jeans. The only complaint I have is that they're not consistent in fit. Some of them I can tell are looser in the seat and legs than others. I remedy this by buying them in person and trying them on beforehand to make sure ... MoreThese pants are on average 20 dollars cheaper than any of the other wrangler jeans available to me locally.
