I did not know what sharp really was until I used a Wusthof knife at a friend's house. The next day I went to BB&B to buy a set.The knives are great. I still want to see how well I can sharpen them when I must do it myself. So far, about 3 weeks, they have retained thier edge well.Two minor disappointments:1) BB&B did not stock them in the store so the very helpful clerk had to order them and I had to wait a few days to get them.2) The classic 20% coupon does not work for Wusthof.Having no experience with high quality knives I have no idea how many stars go give them but I am absolutely pleased that I bought them.

Beautiful equipment, delivered quickly as promised.

Great Service, beautiful quality knives and a good price. This was my first venture into 'proper kitchenware' and I was not disappointed!The 20cm knife was a little larger than I expected (don't know why I thought it would be smaller given the size was on it!), but it's wonderfully sharp and beautifully balanced. In the hand it feels very manageable despite its size. Very happy with purchase and service from Harts of Stur.

Great upgrade to mom’s kitchen

I’m just a typical mom who cooks for her family. I’ve been using “ordinary” knives for years and managing just fine…or so I thought. These knives have elevated my enjoyment of cooking for my family so much more than I could have expected. Having the right tools is incomparable.

Not cheap but good value.

After reading reviews of 20 cm cook's knives the Wusthof Classic is the first choice of many. I have to agree . The knife is nicely balanced and feels comfortable to use. Did I say that it is extremely sharp? It certainly is! When bought in combination with the paring knife and sharpening tool it is an absolute bargain.

Not even taking them out of the box

Received shipment today. The three knives are loose in their box (the Wusthof set box), read: the blades have been banging against each other during shipping. For this price I would have expected a bit more care in packaging to protect the blades.

Once iconic brand, quality cutlery no longer

I once considered Wustof to be of the highest quality, worthy of its high price, a premium brand. Imagine my disappoint when I purchased a 3-piece knife set to give as a gift and found the knives so poorly packaged that they arrived loose and jumbled together in the box. I had to open the shrink wrap to reseat the knives. Immediately as I held the knives I could sense that the fit & finish Wustof was once known for is no longer there. The handle scales have gaps, the spine sticks out beyond the scales and is not sanded smooth to fit, some parts of the blade are discolored or unevenly ground. One knife has a deep gouge in the handle scale, which may or may not be a result of the poor packaging. Wusthof 3-piece Knife Set Review

An excellent set at a fantastic price. The 2 knives cover every cutting scenario I require, and are incredibly sharp. I use the fine-setting on the sharpener every couple of uses, which just hones the edge back to the out-of-the-box condition, without taking any steel off the blade. The course-setting of the sharpener was fantastic for putting an edge back on a blunt Sabatier carving knife!The service from Harts of Stur was fantastic - first in helping me choose which knives to select, and then with the prompt delivery. A very satisfied customer.

Wusthof classic knives

I bought the 3 piece Wusthof classic set about twenty tears ago and just bought a set for my daughter. I have handled many knives over the years and have not found an equal to the 8 inch chefs knife. It is perfectly balanced and just lays in the hand. If I were allowed only one knife in my kitchen that would be my choice. These knives retain an edge for a long period but should be sharpened by a professional. It is well worth the price.

Wusthof knife set

Having lots of good quality knifes.I decided to treat myself to a good chefs.This set was great value for money. As the chef knife alone is close to the price of the set normally.The quality of the knifes is omg. Amazing piece of steel.So getting the sharpener and parring knife as part of set was great.Very fast delivery too.

completely pleased

I purchased these for my fiancé . He was beside himself when he got them. He says they are the best knives he has ever used and wants to purchase matching steak knives. So we will be buying more of the classic pieces.
