This latest purchase was a replacement for a 6” Chef’s knife that I have had for about 11 years. This knife is great due to its size and weight. I use this for everyday kitchen prep as well as breaking down whole chickens with ease. They honor their lifetime warranty when materials fail. I’m thankful I bought this knife many years ago and am glad to have a brand new one.

I have ordered a number of Wusthof knives this year, as there were some bargains to be had. I have boxed them up to travel to my new home. That said, my previously existing and extensive number of Wusthof knives are 40+ years old, and will last me a lifetime, and hopefully eagerly received by my heir. I was just spoiling myself with the new ones, because I know I will never have to buy another knife in my lifetime. Job done!

I have had the knife for one month. It has a very keen edge, to the point that one must wash it with great care to prevent getting cut. I barely nicked my finger on it and it penetrated my skin. Cuts vegetables without any resistance and has good balance. The blade's convexity helps when doing a cutting motion.
I take good care of my knives. This one was hand washed only. It was never dropped. It was placed in a knife block when not in use. Still - a tiny crack appeared in the blade within less than a month of using it.I had to ship it to Wusthof. Thank goodness I did delivery confirmation with signature because that is the only way I would know it got to where it should be. It was delivered over 5 weeks ago and I have not been contacted by the company at all. I called today and you cannot even talk to a live person. You can only email them. I can only imagine how long it may be before I hear from someone.Buying this knife is like throwing your money away. As it was my only chef’s knife, I had to buy another knife. If possible, I would return this one for a refund and buy more of the other off-brand.
This was the knife that started my Wusthof collection about seven years ago, and it remains the most used and favorite among my (now four total) Wusthof knives.I am a woman with small hands and find the 8'' to be just a bit unwieldy (I have an 8'' santoku I rarely use because of the size.) Though the 6'' cooks' knife is easier to wield for me, it is still an incredibly strong, high-quality knife with a good weight to it. I also tested high-end Japanese knives prior to purchasing the Wusthof and while I found the quality to be just as good, I just prefer the heavier weight of the Wusthof. I use the cook's knife nearly every day to chop onions, peppers, carrots, cucumbers, and cut meat. It's hard to imagine life without it.Since purchasing my first Wusthof, I won't ... The quality makes food prep so much more efficient and satisfying. Every year I save up for the next to add to my collection. If you have never experienced a high-quality steel-forged knife in your kitchen, I can't recommend it enough. These knives make food prep so much more efficient and they will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I've always wanted a good quality knife for cooking and I'd heard a lot about Wusthof as a maker. This is my first one and it's all the knife I could hope for and more. The quality is superb and the sharpness is insane. I thought I'd seen sharp knives before but this is on another level! It makes slicing effortless. The balance is perfect, just in front of my index finger. So even though it's not a light knife it takes no effort to you. And due to the excellent blade shape it can rock back and forth for cutting herbs really well. The length at 18cm is perfect for me. You can still choke up on the knife for more detailed work but you have enough length to cope with most tasks you will encounter. I couldn't recommend this knife highly enough.
Wow. What a knife. The best I have ever bought. Slices like butter. This was purchased as a present for my Son who loves looking and he was overwhelmed by this product and now cant stop cooking my meals for me. Really good value for a knife with a 25 year guarantee. Excellent service from their Staff and I would definitely purchase more products from Pro Cook.
Was after a new multi purpose knife as were doing a lot of cooking at the moment. This fits the bill perfectly I tried the smaller 5 knife but found the heft of this knife much better for larger vegetables like potatoes. Also really good for doing fine work on tomatoes etc without bursting them. Use it on n uncooked chicken and found it sliced through very easily. Just be careful as I almost had my thumb off too The fact that the blade is flatter rather than curved makes it far more useful in my opinion. 25 year guarantee in to boot, whats not to like Overall, very happy with this purchase.
This knife looked really nice coming out of the box and had a pretty sharp edge, but as I started to use it, the weight is definitely shifted more into the handle than I like. It makes the tip feel a little harder to handle, and doesnt feel as precise. But the biggest problem I found with it is that only after a month of use its already staining and rusting, and this is stainless steel. So, I will be contacting Zwilling about this because that shouldnt be happening. I will say on the positive side though, this knife handles cutting large chunks of meat and lots of vegetables really well. The only problem Ive had chopping something is with slippery foods or onions. In the case of onions, I found that while the knife can cut through them easily, the tip of the knife ... In the case of onions, I found that while the knife can cut through them easily, the tip of the knife kind of gets stuck because its so thin and all the weight is in the handle. So I find myself having to pull the knife out with a little more force than I like.
