X-Tra Heavy Duty Grease 14.5oz Cartridge Lucas Oil

WD-40 is one of those great products....every car owner and homeowner should always keep a can on hand. It helps to brake down rust, it lubes frozen hinges, dirty locks, bearings, nuts and bolts....it cleans stainless steel, it brakes down some adhesives, and some silicone beads of sealant to make them smooth instead of globy. It do a lot of stuff it wasn't intended to do too... So make sure to use the smart straw to keep the spray contained to the target area, just be smart and be careful.

Excellent High Temp Multi-Purpose Grease

Mechanic of 40 years and white lithium grease was the grease of choice. No longer use white lithium grease as it tends to lack heat resistance and longevity. Have found Lucas Oil products excellent and the X-TRA Heavy Duty Grease is a high temp multi-purpose grease great for general brake work on vehicles.

Excellent for the money

Excellent general purpose/heavy duty grease for farm and construction equipment. We use it in an old Ford 8n tractor, no complaints.!!VERY IMPORTANT: This is a Polyurea based grease and is INCOMPATIBLE with the today's more common lithium based grease. If you mix the two, they'll turn to oil and loose their lubrication properties. To switch, you need to purge all the old grease from your equipment first.

FJ Cruiser U-Joints and Shaft

Excellent for greasing the U-Joints and the shaft on my 2013 FJ Cruiser. Very water resistant and won’t fling out. It lasts a long time helping in still having the original U Joints still in excellent condition. Highly recommend just make sure you completely squeeze out the old grease to replace with this as they are not compatible.

Great Grease for Lawn Mower Bearing and Maintenance!

I purchased this grease to prevent wear on my riding mower spindle bearings. I picked it due to its rating for heavy duty equipment. I figured if it took the beating of heavy equipment my use for my mower would definitely be covered.I install this grease in my battery powered grease gun with ease. I lubricated the spindle bearing and front end of the riding mower. Not long after lubrication I started cutting grass, I could immediately tell the difference in the steering of the mower. It was smooth and easier to maneuver. It might not be what you think- Very thin grease!

I have used the Lucas red grease for years, and the store happened to be out of it at the time. I figured I would use this "heavy duty" as a similar alternative grease as I have always been satisfied with Lucas products. This grease was a mistake, and I knew it right when I put the tube in the grease gun and opened the air bleeder- this grease came rushing out like a geyser! It is so thin you don't even recognize it as being grease, it's more like a very heavy oil that almost flows at room temperature. I tried it in a few fittings, and it seemed to work normally going in at room temperature. But as the bearings warmed up, this grease came running out like black watery oil and I have never seen that before. It’s good to know that Home Depot sells Lucas brand high quality X-TRA HD grease gun cartridges at a competitive price. The Lucas HD grease is green. I never gave much thought to grease being color coded and I don’t think I’ve ever had green grease before. I’d prefer orange, but that’s just me. I’m also not sure that I’ve used a polyurea based grease before. To be safe, I’m pumped this grease into the fittings until I saw green. Otherwise, this Lucas X-TRA HD Grease is perfect for my needs. The cartridge is packed with information and it all seems good. I’m of the belief that the quality and performance of lubricants should exceed the needs of my equipment. The cartridge is standard sized and fit my cordless grease gun. (Cordless grease guns may just be one of life’s greatest pleasures!) It pumped just as easily as with the lithium grease I used previously. Probably not many remember the days before cartridges so I’ll let that go. The tab for removing the end of the cartridge did break off as I was loading the grease gun but that’s no biggie, that’s what pliers are for. Everything is greased and I’m happy. The tractor is operating a bit quieter so apparently it’s happy too.

It’s grease a tad thinner than I remember bearing grease being years ago. It’s not watery just not real thick. It’s green instead of brown. How good it is or how long it lasts only time will tell. It’s probably pretty good for price

This Lucas X-Tra Heavy Duty grease is an excellent product that compares well with other similarly priced products. In my case, I used it to grease the slides and screw mechanisms on the two vises on my outdoor workbench. After some minor rust removal with a wire wheel brush I applied this grease and they worked like new (or better) and the action was buttery smooth. That's not what this grease was actually intended for but it works great. I just used a chip brush with shortened bristles to paint it on the moving parts. After using it for the vises I put it in my grease gun and lubed up my spindles and wheel bearings on my zero-turn mower. So far so good. no more squeek

my car door was driving me crazy. had to pull really hard to open it and it squeeked like crazy. tried wd40, lasted a day at best. this worked great! slapped it on door hinge too and works wonders on my hismith machine. oh also used it in a kitchen mixer and finally the machine doesnt sound like it needs to be replaced
