I have had this phone for about two months now and I have to say that it is very impressive as a midrange phone. It has a lovely screen, especially when you engage 120 Hz mode; it has a decent camera setup but has flaws appropriate for the price range like chromatic aberration on sharp edges when zooming in etc. but is definitely decent for casual use.The battery life is excellent and I am quite impressed by the headphone jack output. The inbuilt DAC (digital to analogue converter) is surprisingly good and can even handle 24-bit Tidal streams.The phone handles everything I throw at it very well, but I don't play any graphically intensive games so I cannot comment on that. It does not complete even simple tasks like recognising my home wifi and logging on to it automatically. It is quite difficult to find information, e.g. overview of how much data I am using (it is there but takes some finding and does not give an overall figure). The scrolling is often very unresponsive. It can be quite difficult to find the 'sweet spot' to put to my ear on calls. When I call the Xiaomi customer services the staff try to help but have not always been able to resolve my issues.

A really good value phone. Excellent screen and cameras. Well worth stretching to the Pro model if you can afford it: just look at the spec and see that neither storage nor RAM is skimped, so it's pretty quick. Xiaomi do use a slightly adapted version of Android but it's generally not too eccentric. A few of the included apps gave initial annoyance but were quickly removed.
Awesome phone for the price. Fast chip and high frame rate screen provides a very fast viewing experience ideal for gaming. Large memory out the box so no need to worry about adding a memory card untill later if needed . The camera is very impressive using the Samsung 108mp sensor for stunning pictures day or night .

The battery life is good and if you want to listen to music on your phone this is a good phone and loud. But it's not great if using the video option. The voice taping either goes low or tapes the voice with interference. Scratchy sound! Also reduces voice volume every so often when chatting on phone! this was happening within days of buying the phone. Maybe my phone is slightly faulty. So it's not for me and wished I'd bought a different make. It's also to heavy for my liking. A decent mid-price phone. Fast processor, good cameras overall (though not as detailed as I'd hoped), clear screen, generally fine. The Xiomi skin is annoying, but I just focus on Google stuff. Not sure why it's described as 'pro'. Compared to the iphone/pixel equivalents, it's certainly not 'pro'. On the other hand, the Redmi is considerably cheaper to buy. 4 out of 5 seems fair to me. Given the price I paid (186), a bargain.
Well priced and apparently brand new - box wasn't sealed but as promised in "pristine" condition. Did research and was aware I would have to compromise on somethung to get in my selected price band. It seems a great phone although less than a week using it. Battery life was the compromise I decided to make and to be fair it is what I expected! It goes a day, but I'm not intensive in any way. Calls - texts - internet and general work comms. Great screen, easy to live with, use / store / handle. Change of layout / software but getting used to it now

I bought this phone, it seemed okay generally - the user interface was fine and battery good but the camera struggled to focus on moving targets eg animals and the zoom lost clarity.Unfortunately the bluetooth function never worked so I contacted Redmi direct who were helpful with providing testing options to try and get it to work,before ultimately having to return via Very. The phone would also not charge well unless with the provided cable, on a night away I forgot the charger and it took literally all night to get a decent charge when the phone advertises charge within hours.Word of warning - I have been told there is no replacement option from Very, only a refund then buy a new phone myself.
