Awesome bit of kit. I have read a few people saying that it’s a 2 person job to setup and pack down. This is definitely not what I have found. I can set it up & pack it down in a few minutes. I had it setup recently in heavy overnight rain while out camping with mates and with the middle guy ropes on it didn’t hold any water at all!! Worked brilliantly & was rock solid in some pretty rubbish weather. This is definitely a 5 Star product

Great awning. Easy to setup and with the tie downs in place it is steady as a rock.If assembling with a bit of wind around get some help or it may get away from you and bend the horizontal supports.I have had no issues with mine and I use it regularly.I have the wall kit as well which is a very nice addition. Creates a giant tent essentially.

I purchased this awning before a remote touring trip and had the main horizontal support poles bend under there own weight before snapping when straightening them out.I contacted the support channels and I was told the awning is a product that is too new to have any repair support or repair options at this time. I ended up having to throw the awning out as at 3m and bent and broken it was too large to feasibly do anything else while travelling as it was impossible to pack small and follow up when back in a more populated area.This is my second review of this product. The product looks great and is very affordable compared to some more expensive alternatives, but this is short lived and a light breeze will destroy this awning rendering it totally useless. I had two poles rip clean in half at the knuckle while I was in the process of unfolding it and before I could pin down the guy ropes. The aluminium poles that are used to support the awning are just too thin and flimsy to support this awning in a light breeze and it will flip up and snap the poles. Mine is now totally destroyed and unusable after 4 uses. BCF does not have replacement roles either. I have learnt my lesson and bought a Darche Eclipse...
3weeks of use so far.Supports itself fine during a single person setup, but a second person would be helpful to provide a bit more support.The drop down could be a bit more heavy duty but no complaints as of yet.Awesome amount of shade and would be killer with the wall set, in which we are yet to purchase.But yeah, highly recommended.
Only problem is the need for a second pair of hands when packing the item up, have had this awning in continuous ( 25 to 30 knot winds- about 45 to 60 klm) winds for weeks on end. Tie it down with sturdy ropes and it will be fine, overall if tied down and walls pegged in this unit takes a pounding and will be there the next day ready for more. We never pressume there wiill be no wind always tie it down, packing up is easy, but needs 2 pairs of hands
Purchased a couple of weeks ago over the other ‘Royal’ sounding brand as this one is thicker material. Poor decision, the mounting brackets aren’t very sturdy so had to purchase better brackets that limit sidewards play.Set up was really easy, although the awning was too heavy for its own hinge system and the cheap hinges broke. Hinges are only made out of poor quality alloy.
Its a good quality awning and setup is reasonably easy. After doing extensive research on this product, i was worried about the hinge snapping and after setting it up, its definitely a cause for concern. I recommended using 2 persons when opening or closing the awning cause there is quite a bit of twist and bending without the support of the legs. Installation was a bit of a brainstorm to create something so i could attach it to my roof rack cage. All in all its not bad for the price.
Super quick and easy install. I had to take the provided brackets to the local steel fabricator, who was able to cut notches and shorten the length so they fit side the racks. I have Rhino Alloy Tray ontop which made it a pain for all awnings. Only issue I found is I can't get it 90 degrees across the back, it is super close like 80-85, just can't get it flush, that plays with my OCD a bit.
Glad i bought this XTM 270° Awning. so much easier to put up than the old roll out one.Perfect for the markets on the weekend, easy to put up, about 2 mins max with weights attached. Lots of room under to display more goods.Highly recommended.
