Awning is great, understanding it is not a high end product but the quality and instructions for mountings is not great. 2 weeks after mounting the brackets are rusting - which means I have to dismount and treat or design and mount new brackets so the corrosion doesn't spread to my roof cage. Dissappointing.

BCF takes no responsibility for their choice of freight companies.Dispute my order clearly stating delivered on their website, the item has not arrived and 8 days later is still being scanned in the Couriers Please system.When you ask to speak to a manager they ignore you or claim none are available and their policy is they will call back within 48 hours.And even though they know there is a delivery problem, they still send out this stupid survey begging for positive feedback.
The poles do not have ground spikes which would make it easier to key into the ground, everything else is great.
Recently purchased in store (Lilydale-Vic) a skinny little 1.4m wide XTM awning on Club special. Wasn’t expecting much as have purchased similar King’s variants for work needs before. First use and installation impressions are very positive. ‘L’ brackets supplied within unlike others do have same center holes each side for the awning extrusion connection allowing an additional 2 out of 4 possibilities for finished height/projection needs.Aluminium frame/pole construction honestly feels some say 20% stronger than above mentioned and awning material itself appears thicker and or less pliable/stretchy rain collecting.
Perfect addition to my rear kitchen set up specially when it’s raining and it’s long and wide enough to keep the back dry. Easy to set up and feels tough durable made. Joints on the poles is made of nylon so it flex a bit.
My first rear awning was a Kings which used aluminium attach points for the poles/tubes. the XTM uses plastic attach points. otherwise identical to the Kings in every other way, only dearer than Kings. Comparing the two, the Kings is better value for money.
This product is not fit for use as rear awning. The attachments do not fit “most” roof racks as claimed. The instructions for fitting are useless and there is no XTM product information available online.Had to purchase extra brackets not available at BCF to fit the awning to my car.
The awning complements the side awning and provides shelter to the rear of the vehicle to be able to access your fridge/ freezer and other camping equipment and gadgets.Needs a triangular type cover fitting between side and rear awnings
