Purchased to work with the Yale Assure SL. Is essentially the August module, which while adopting into your smart home gets quite confusing when you're expecting "Yale" and all the installation instructions refer to another brand/module. Best read the app reviews before committing to a drawn-out install.Once adopted to the Smartphone App, is easy to integrate with Google Home and Smartthings.Can trigger open/close/ajar events with notifications etc. Makes your electronic door lock super smart and convenient.

Excellent product

I wanted to have remote access to my digital lock(I had an older model that discontinued the connection module so had to upgrade) This was quite easy to set up, initially the Bluetooth needed to be very close ans if unplug you need to rejoin the network. Most instructions are on the app that really needs to be downloaded. Now it’s in its excellent. Particularly the auto-unlock with my phone when I come home. Confused me a couple of times (panicked as thought I’d left house unlocked all day) Highly recommend.

Great Product !!

Works great. Can lock / unlock the door from anywhere. Also it shows the status (Lock/Unlock/Open/Closed). Automatically open the door when you walk in. Many more options. Excellent !!

Home automation success

I already had the Yale deadbolt and was looking to automate it to lock and unlock upon arrival and departure. This has certainly done that and more. Recommend to anyone playing around with home automation that also hates having arms full of groceries and then having to unlock a door!

Two trips are for chumps

Love it! Like many I’m the kind of person who refuses to make two trips when carrying things from the car, and the Yale bridge means I don’t have to hunt for door keys or put in a code. Just walk up to the door and it unlocks! Laziness at its finest!

Works as advertised

Easy setup but remember to acrivate on lock by pressing gear key, master password and 7 to activate module. the instructions dont say this. phoned helpdesk and they were excellent. worth the money to complete the lock.

Works great when it works, but not reliable

I have two of these boxes at two locations and both are very temperamental. For it to work reliably it needs to be located VERY close to the lock, ideally less than a metre away, and even then it’s a 50/50 bet if they will work every time. For both locations I have had to get an electrician to come and wire a plug super close to the door to help it to work properly. The one I have at my BNB is very helpful and I really do love it, but I have found that about once a month or so it will lose connection to the lock, when the power was off for too long the configuration in the app just disappeared. Today it took me over an hour and 20+ attempts to get it to reconfigure again, and eventually I got it but my god it was a hassle. Only after I replaced the lock batteries (they weren’t flat just not 100%), and then used an extension cord to hold the connect box cm’s from the lock and finally I got it to communicate okay enough that I could get it configured again. I’m fairly certain in a month or so I will have to go through this again. I recommend this product hesitantly but only because I find it so useful when it’s working, but I really wish Yale would revisit this product and fix it’s communication issues. If you aren’t technically minded though - maybe not for you.

Yale Locks Used in the Apple HomeKit Ecosystem

The bridge provides a no fuss connection to the router (Wifi) and Yale lock fitted with the module (Bluetooth). Easy to set up and get going. Just make sure you have a Wifi connection to your router and Bluetooth is within range to the lock. Great system when integrated with Apple HomeKit.

The idea and principal of using this device to avoid having to carry too many keys and being confident that when you leave your home it IS LOCKED and stays that way until you return. Unfortunately is not the case. The Bridge drops out continually and needs resetting the app shows the door unlocked when it is not. When it works it is great, the" lock when i leave and unlock when i return" Is fantastic and was one of the main reasons I bought the system, as wife is almost blind and would make things easier for her but when it comes to security you need to be confident the lock is functioning correctly ALL THE TIME and this has simply not been the case.
