Cheap bass that feels great in the hands and sounds amazing. The bang for buck from this bass is unbelievable! I’ve given it a very light set up myself but it played that well straight out of the box that I haven’t even taken it to a tech yet. If you’re looking for a passive 5 that’s sonically flexible and won’t break the bank you don’t need to look any further.

Great yamaha build quality, plays and sounds good only let down are the tuners (one already had a loose key) and the bridge both of which I expected to replace at some stage anyway. Once these parts are changed this will easily be a professional quality instrument. Was an easy decision to buy after Mannys agreed to match lowest competitors price. Great service from Mannys!
Truly one of the best bast models around, and really affordable. It gets a great P-bass growl, the low B is tight, and it plays low and fast.
The bass has excellent tone. Was exactly what I expected. Was not happy about the loose tuning peg which buzzes from the vibration of the strings, but will find a way to make it stop. Fret buzz on the A and D string on the first fret of each one is an issue which leads me to believe that the nut is not properly fitted. Pickup buzz from the lower bridge pickup will mean that I will not be able to record with this bass. That being said, for practice and jamming purposes it will definitely be ok. Still despite these minor issues, love the tone of the bass.
Was surprisingly well set up when it arrived. Perfect for anyone needing a nice, versatile bass that is right in the mid price range before you start paying much more for very little extra.
My first 5-string. For the most part a really nice instrument. Nice range of tones and volume dynamics. Nice neck feel. I gotta say that I'm not really pleased with the setup/inspection on the bass though. The action was too low such that there was excessive string buzz. Also the cover on the treble side of the split pickup was loose so it clicked when touched and vibrated at times when played.
My first "proper" Bass Guitar, plays excellently and was set up and ready to go out of the box. Fretwork is really clean and neck has the correct amount of relief. Really pleased with the quality of the bass (and it's looks)My only slight concern is the weight, this is quite a heavy bass so make sure to invest is a good strap. It does rest well on the shoulder though and is comfortableImpressed with PMT's service and speed of delivery also
