Okay so I ain’t gonna lie I bought this because of the colour 😂 I wasn’t expecting such a quality sound and sturdy guitar! I love the sound of this and that’s even playing it through an acoustic Amp can wait to try it out with my looping pedal! Thanks Mannys this guitar is top notch

I bought this then decided to float the tremolo but after a few days pretty much put everything back to how it came out of the box. I did some minor changes to pickup heights to suit me. This guitar really sounds and plays nice. I’m blown away particularly when considering the price.I highly recommend the Yamaha Pacifica 612 range. The Fire Red really makes it look good.

Well, Yamaha certainly score with this one! Lovely guitar to play, I chose the version with the improved pick-ups and it sounds great....good build quality too, if you're looking for a budget guitar that ticks all the boxes.....look no further!

Having never picked up a guitar before I don’t have a point of comparison however this Pacifica seems to be really good. I can get some great sounds out of it and it looks amazing in the black colourway. Definitely recommend.
Guitar sounds great, has nice features (Seymour Duncan's, locking tuners, graphite nut, Wilkinson tromolo) and doesn't break the bank. Overall quality is excellent. Guitar is a little heavier (weight) than I expected but is ok.
The Yamaha Pacifica’s are widely regarded as a reasonable quality guitar for the price but the nut slot on my one does not appear to be cut evenly. When I received the guitar there were some fine hair line cracks in the finish around the neck pocket & one of the pickups is not mounted properly.I expected better from a manufacturer like Yamaha. Overall just ok…
Wow - what an axe! Absolutely faultless build quality, great hardware and the chimey tones from the Seymour Duncan neck and middle pickups are just awesome. Can't recommend this guitar highly enough! :-)
Early days - on its way to 5 stars once I’ve played it in. Neck feels great - nice slim profile and the back is smooth and not sticky. The rosewood fretboard feels great. Controls are positive and feel solid. Pickups go together really well and the coil split is terrific - in split mode the humbucker sounds like a full-blooded single coil. I’d say in HB mode the humbucker is better in high gain settings than clean tones but it’s not actually bad. The locking tuners are excellent. The Wilkinson bridge inspires confidence and the tremolo is a good compromise between vintage and modern options ie it only goes up (I mean you can only lower the pitch!) but feels very stable. The nut and string trees are superior to those found in similarly priced guitars from certain ... MoreEarly days - on its way to 5 stars once I’ve played it in. In the final analysis I might have preferred a two-point trem but Yamaha aren’t hiding anything.
Locking tuners, Ashmore Duncan pickups, two single coils and a humidifier that you can split. Absolutely kills a start at less money than a player strat. This is the buy of the year although you may have to wait for one because they can't keep them in stock. Well worth the wait and solo much better built than a Fender Strat!!
An excellent Strat-style that punches well above its weight. For the price of a 'second guitar' or learner Stat you get a very competent piece of kit that will go as far as you want.Nice neck, reasonable frets and quality pickups together with high build quality, it was perfect out of the box, needing no further set-up.The 112v's party piece of a coil-tap on the bridge humbucker though extends its range and versatility immensely it really does give both the full SSS and HSS sound - two excellent guitars for the price of one reasonable one.Downsides? A very slight crackle on the volume pot, and using the coil tap (split) reduces the bridge output, so up the volume a bit if doing it mid-song. I can happily live with both.
