CHT, never heard of them! I wasn’t even sure they were a real store, the only reference I found was that they were a nominated premium reseller on Benq’s website, which gave me some confidence that they could be legit. So I gave them a call and I got a call back service. Now i was worried…. but I call back from a real person. After a conversation, I took up a promo offer for my first purchase. It arrived very quickly with no issues at all. I installed the Yamaha RX-V6A and it worked perfectly from the get go! One happy ending!

Easy to set up. Plasticky volume knob, not that you’ll ever touch it. Should support 4K HDR with a PS5 but I couldn’t get it working yet.

Pretty easy to setup. Works great with my exciting sound speakers. Musiccast works well with the receiver. Only issue with the Samsung S95B television it doesn't play sound on the HD channel and the streaming channel Netflix. Disney, Amazon prime.

Replaced my old Yamaha RX-V373 with this model as this one has a phono input, is 4K and has 20 watts per channel more power. The sound is much better and the picture is too.
I bought this about 6 months ago from HN Chadstone. Staff was friendly and got a good deal. Unit itself is beautiful to look at. Blends in with the TV unit and the led screen doesn't distract while watching TV(can be turned off too). It has every new tech available at a price that doesn't bankrupt you. Which is great coz' you can spend more on the speakers. I'm currently using with musiccast 100 sub wirelessly and it's flawless. No dropouts or anything as such. Amp powers 2x Wharfedale Diamond 11.2 bookshelf speakers, 1x Wharfedale 11cs center and 2x Wharfedale D300 Atmos speakers. Everything works great. Movies that support atmos are a delight to watch. I did have to tweak the speaker levels a little as the speakers aren't matched perfectly as a set but takes you an hour of tweaking and then you forget about it. Musiccast app is a bit fiddly though. I'm not really a big fan. Menu and connections could be much simpler. But again, once you pass that hurdle, you don't use it again. I'm now looking to get 2x musiccast 20 speakers for rear surround. Even without it's ok but why not. It's not like they take any space and it'll be connected wirelessly so I don't have to route cables under the carpet from 1 end of the room to the other. There are better options out there but for the money, but honestly, I don't think there is anything that comes close with all the features at the moment.

Got 1 before Xmas after my beloved onkyo died, this was cheap and had good features to last until the kids were old enough to get a high end one without it getting wrecked. Got about 6 weeks into it and started having audio dropouts and stopped auto syncing with other hdmi devices, then the arc function just stopped playing audio completely, so I did a hard reset on it all, re downloaded the new firmware again,worked for about a week and all started again. Harvey norman was great, they contacted yamaha, did some troubleshooting again which I had already done still the same so yamaha sent me a new one, I write this now as it's all started again, worked fine this morning now I cant get any sound from the TV, played with all settings and nothing. As an upgrade to my Denon AVR-3808 (2008 model) and home theatre installer of many Yamaha receivers I am so pleased with this purchase. I like the large volume control display readout which I set to off when not in use. Sound is surpurb. Net Radio works well though a bit slow. I'm running main zone 7.0 and Zone 2 Party Mode (stereo armchair speakers in main room). It inserted into my home theatre system easily. All my HDMI inputs go through my Sony 4k 65 inch TV so I've got no comment on the receivers HDMI inputs. I'm using the TVs optical output to the receiver. I then added it to my Harmony 650 remote control easily so it works seamlessly with my complete setup. Very Happy
I pulled the trigger on a purchase first time with CHT and everything has been great, delivery a little slow through Melbourne's iron curtain, but still quicker than others. Not had a chance to fire it up yet, but very impressed with the service and simple transaction process. Definitely will purchase again. Thank you.
I love this AV-R! It is easy and intuitive to configure as it recognizes the devices that are plugged into it. It has many amazing features that I am just starting to use and explore. One of my favourite purchases of all time.
