I love autumn but it can be hard to find fresh scents for the season that aren’t sweet/spicy/vanilla-y. Sunlit autumn is absolutely perfect. Light and fresh, but definitely gives an air of autumn to the house.

I agree with other reviewers that this is a pretty light scent but I think that's what makes this great! It reminds me of leaving a clean blanket on top of a wooden chest while the autumn sun bakes the woodsy smell into the blanket mixing a perfect combination of wood (the chest) and citrus (the detergent). This brings me back to my childhood and playing in our sunroom in the autumn sun!

True to its reputation, the Yankee Candle delivers a powerful aroma that is perfect for the season. I really like the double wick, as it provides a stronger odor, but the candle has proven to still last for quite some time. Usually, more wicks mean quicker wax evaporation, but somehow, Yankee has found a way around this. I love the brand and have yet to find a scent that I don't like.

I love YC, but this is a serious "missed opportunity." I am burning SIX wax melts in two rooms and barely smell it. There is nothing Autumn about it and practically no throw. If you need a pretty utility candle, this is it. I'm a loyal customer to YC and WoodWick but I can't believe quality control allowed this to labelled a scented candle.
This candle is just ok in my opinion. It does burn evenly which is wonderful. It will last a long time. The smell is amazing if you put your nose up to the jar. Makes me think of a sunny autumn day. The downside is that the smell is so subtle that it has to burn for a very long time to notice anything at all. I even had a guest over while burning and they didn't smell it at all.
On cold this had no smell to me so I overlooked it. I didn’t buy it until it was on clearance and discovered it was really quite nice. I’m not as fond of the obvious fall scents; pumpkin, cinnamon, etc. so I’m always glad when I find one that’s more woody but really smells like fall.
I thought I purchased this before and liked it so when Autumn Leaves wasn’t avail, thought I’d give this a try. Well, Autumn Leaves it’s not. Not sure what it’s supposed to smell like, but mine smelled like nothing more than wax with a hint of some kind of scent thrown in there but never made it to the surface over the intense waxy smell. I’m giving in Yankee the benefit of the doubt that this may have just been a “dud” cause I know I purchased this the year before and had no complaints
This fragrance is one of my favorites for pretty much any time of year, up there with Warm Luxe Cashmere and Calm Quiet Place. I'm very bummed it is unavailable online or in stores right now. Despite its name, I don't think it's necessarily just for Autumn. I'm no scent expert, but based on the descriptions of all three of these candles they all have some sandalwood so if you like the others I mentioned I think you'll like this. I agree with another reviewer who said they don't detect any citrus - but unlike other reviewers, I feel it is a strong scent that I smell whenever I enter the room. Hope they bring it back.
This has become one of my new favorites! Its main scents are sandalwood and amber- they give it that sultry, sensual undertone, while the very light citrus just enhances these scents. This is a subtle scent, like the soft sun on an Autumn day. That doesn't mean that it's not strong, it has a wonderful throw. If you like a sensual, yet subtle scent and love sandalwood and amber, than you will love this!!
I love, love, love Yankee Candle brand because of the quality and this candle did not let me down. It smells so clean and crisp and the scent carries through my home just as expected from my previous experiences with the brand. Not only does the scent carry but it also lasts a long time. The wick burns clean and it doesn't leave residue like I've noticed with cheaper brands. Yankee candles may cost a little more than a candle from a big box store but they consistently burn evenly so you're able to use the entire candle down to the bottom unlike cheaper brands I've tried in the past.
