I am sometimes able to remedy the issue, by removing the lid and turning it a bit, then placing it back onto the thermos. What I'm noticing, is that it is somehow loosening itself after I take a few drinks, it is already dripping down the side and onto my shirt, once again. I'm unable to place any other drinks inside the thermos besides water, because I'm always paranoid that my drink is going to pour out onto the shirt. There's really no reason for the lid to become loose by itself simply by drinking from it, unless you're attempting to remove the lid. Overall, I am enjoying the fact that I can have cold water at all times while I'm working, instead of having to rely on plastic water bottles, which only stay cold for a short time. However, seeing that Yeti is supposed to be one of the best brands out there, as far as durable drinkware goes, I'm not all that pleased with my purchase, and I do not see myself purchasing any more of the products unless I see some improvement in these two areas. My wife bought me this Yeti Tumbler for my coffee. I already have a Yeti water bottle with the screw on top and my wife has the tumbler with the straw, we both love the products. Unfortunately, this one did not live up to expectations at all. I understand that the lid is not made to be “leakproof”, but even sitting in the cup holder of my car while driving, coffee managed to splash through and pooled up in the top of lid. The lip on the lid is also too deep, it makes it harder than necessary to take a sip of hot coffee. The action of the slider is very nice, and the lid seals nicely to the mug, but with no seal on the slider that makes little difference.
