YETI Roadie 48 Charcoal Wheeled Hard Cooler is designed to tackle any adventure, whether it be your trusty companion on a weekend vacation, or your go to on game day. A separate dry goods basket provides you with extra storage and organization to hold drinks and snacks. Neverflat wheels are made from single-piece tire construction to handle any impact that may occur while on the go. For easy portability, lipgrip handles stay out of the way to make carrying hassle free. The lid was completely warped brand new just opened the box tape still around it. Contacted service they issued a new one. Still had to wait almost 3-6weeks to receive so wasn’t able to take on the trip like I planned so it was an inconvenience. The one they replaced with the lid isn’t warped but the lining of the cooler itself looks off to me like cracking. None of my other yetis look like this but I guess this one’s just going to be my little trouble maker. The cooler itself is nice, I love the mobility. The handle structure when fully extended is shifty I feel like it’ll brake when the cooler is full dragging around, but I’m sure it’s been fully tested and it’s just my worries getting the best of me. The cosmetic flaws are kind of annoying but will make due.

I was very skeptical of the Roadie 60. The walls are much thinner than the traditional Yeti Tundras but I wanted the most storage with wheels. I debated between the Haul and the Roadie 60. The Haul seems way more robust, but the ability to stack or hang things on the handle of the Roadie while dragging it, and the increase capacity perked my interest. I also felt like they are not going to be making accessories for the Tundra, and they have already produced a good amount catered towards the Roadie series. I was a little uncertain as to sturdiness/longevity of the telescoping handle, but the 5 year warranty put me at ease. During my test, it was raining for weeks straight, so I kept it inside my house with very limited sun exposure through the window. My house stays at 70 degrees 24 hours a day. I did not pre chill the cooler, and I put 48lbs of ice into it (2 big bags from Costco). I checked on the ice once a day until it disappeared.THE ICE LASTED 9 WHOLE DAYS (216 hours). There was still a small amount of ice left. When I checked the ice approx 16 hours later, it was all melted, but the water was still 40 degrees.Thoroughly impressed with the Yeti Roadie 60. Increased capacity with a smaller footprint, and same fantastic Yeti ice retention capability.

Great build, a little overrated
9 July 2023

I come from "regular", mainstream coolers. I don't know much about these new, high end types. The build quality and design on these are great. They are solid and easy to move around. The accessories are readily available, more so than any other brand I can see. Who knew that was a thing? I took this on a multi-week roadtrip with many camping days. I'd say the performance of it was better than most mainstream coolers I've tried, but not mind blowing like I kept reading in the reviews and hype. Yes, ice stayed frozen a bit longer from what I could tell, but it wasn't to the point that justified the price. That said, I'm keeping this cooler because I really like how solidly it's built. Like I mentioned, I don't think the performance justifies the price, but it works as ... MoreI come from "regular", mainstream coolers. I don't know much about these new, high end types. Great overall but doesn't fit under tonneau cover
31 May 2023

Love the red and the overall functionality/toughness/insulation of a Yeti. Lots of great comments from others on the color and the movement of the handle and wheels is very smooth. I just wish it was an inch or so shorter and that it might have been considered in the design how to make it fit under a closed tonneau cover. I have a retractable one on my F150 and the combo of the cover with a bed liner makes it so the roadie 48 just barely doesn't fit under the cover (unless tipped on it's backside - not ideal). I would have gladly given up a little interior capacity to able to pull the truck bed cover closed over the top of the cooler for shade and security. Nice but bigger than expected

I want to start off saying I like this cooler but it is not the perfect cooler for us. We debated about sending it back, but I like it enough we are keeping it (more in a bit). In pictures it looks a lot smaller even taking a measuring tape it seemed to be the right size. I should have went to look at one in the store. It will not fit in a 2022 Honda Accord or like size car so this will only be used with our SUV. If they made one like this in a 30-35 qt size I would buy it.I gave it 5 stars because its size was my fault and I cannot take away from that. While its size is a negative for our intended use it fills another need for us. The build quality is amazing and it keeps ice for an incredible amount of time. I prechilled it and put 25 lbs of ice in it. We then took it on trip day 4 there about 60-75% of the ice left. It was outside some but mainly stored in a house at 73 degrees so this helped. I left the lid open to see how long it would take the ice to melt and it took it 3 more days. While I am sure outside in 90 degree temps would speed up ice melt some I find it will suit my needs and then some. This cooler in a smaller 30-35qt would be our perfect cooler. I did not want the 24qt as I have back and shoulder issues and once they are loaded it is more than I want to carry around.

Roadie 60 - dependable and mobile!
23 June 2023

I have several Yeti coolers and they work great, but are very heavy. The Roadie 60 has the capacity to hold drinks and food, even tall bottles, all of which can make any cooler too heavy to move easily. The wheels and handle make the loaded cooler very easy to manage. We take several trips to the beach every summer and this cooler came along last week for the first time. I use the Yeti Ice as a base layer, then drinks then regular ice. Over the course of 4 days on the beach, all I had to do was drain any water from the bottom, replace used drinks and food items, then top off with fresh ice. There was little melt and the cooler with ice packs minimized the amount of ice used overall and kept everything ice cold. My wife also prefers the latches on the Roadie coolers ... MoreI have several Yeti coolers and they work great, but are very heavy. Stupid money, great cooler

I'm not a yeti fan. I think they're over priced and we have another brand that preforms just as well for half the cost. That said, I'm pleasantly surprised with this cooler. I bit the bullet and bought this for my husband as a gift after he'd been eyeballing it for a while. I was skeptical about the durability of the handle and wheels for the size of the cooler, but was proven wrong. The handle is strong and wheel are sturdy and smooth. I think our tundra and our other brand both hold ice a little longer, but only by a day or two. This one does seem lighter and a bit thinner, so that would make sense. The wheel cut outs take up minimal real estate within the cooler, unlike other coolers. This was the driving force behind choosing this one over another brand. My only ... MoreI'm not a yeti fan. The cooler I’ve been waiting for!
16 August 2022

Yeti makes quality products with exceptional thermal properties, but with that comes the weight. Even empty they aren’t the lightest, fully loaded is a 2-person job to even move on level ground. So happy this has been addressed with this sturdy, smooth retractable handle, with a wheeling method similar to travel luggage. It is easy to maneuver on level ground empty or full and has great built inside handles for lifting. The 60 does come with one dry basket, which I think is plenty to start with. The cooler also includes the redesigned lid latches with are easy to use and create a tight seal. The 60 also has a lot of capacity so I’d recommend the divider to allow for multi-purpose storage. As for the cup caddy, it’s a nice idea, but because this wheeled cooler tilts to be moved that could hinder its usefulness. As for the Lockport, I’ve only seen what was sent with the cooler, but as long as this doesn’t increase either dimension of the cooler, I think it could be a good accessory if that feature is needed. The well-engineered lit stays open even with the handle up. Also, the wheels extend past to body and handle to ensure the rear of the cooler and drain plug are protected. My only complaint is that it didn’t come out sooner, but happy we have it now!

Yeti Roadie 48 - worth the BIG bucks?
5 June 2023

First, we have a lot of Yeti products, and we have been investing into Yeti well over a decade. Yeti products simply work as designed. So, when I recently needed to upgrade my Yeti 65, based on our needs e.g., how we use the cooler, to an easier product to load/manage and go, it was easy to pick the Roadie 48 wheeled cooler. It’s another GOOD product by Yeti and the design is outstanding. I do wish it was an inch shorter just because the hard retractable tonneau cover over my truck bed (F-150) makes ever so slight contact when closing the cover but that’s easily overcome by simply laying the 48 on it’s back during transport or placing in a location other than the truck bed. Yeti products simply work as designed. I compared the Roadie 48 primarily to the Dometic electric cooler which is another really good product but our use simply couldn’t optimize the investment into an electric option (plus a Yeti never fails to operate and or use ranges under 72 hours which the Yeti achieves in keeping everything cool/fresh). Truth is, the Roadie 48 is so good in design e.g., capacity, quality, ease of use achieved in being wheeled, etc., that it was an easy decision. It’s our best Yeti cooler to date. Worth the BIG bucks? Yes, we believe it is, and not because we’re hoping to justify why (LOL) “we” spent the cooler BIG bucks but because it’s really a great product e.g., no regrets. By the way, love the Yeti drink cup, dry storage and internal divider accessories for the 48; they immediately enhanced use of the cooler. Thanks, Team Yeti - keep innovating!
