Designed with Kento Momota The Astrox 99 Pro is designed in collaboration with Kento Momota to provide the best offensive playing experience to any badminton player. The Astrox 99 Pro will still be able to produce the heaviest swing weight in the Yonex Astrox series. However, newer frame technologies are applied to this new version to create better control, faster recovery, and easier hitting (improved user friendliness). Standard Features Unleash devastating power! Special Namd Graphite as seen in the previous model to create a steep shuttlecock angle. NEW Power Assist Bumper This is a new grommet strip positioned at the 12 o clock of the frame. The main purpose is to add more swing weight to the racquet. The secondary function is to accommodate for the improved rotational generator system (hybrid functions) Improved Rotational Generator System The Rotational Generator System (hybrid function) of the Astrox efficiently focuses the racquet weight distribution at the top, middle, and bottom of the racquet to create the hybrid effect. Using a new material, the VOLUME CUT RESIN, the Astrox 99 PRO is able to maintain its current swing weight while taking off weight on the head frame, so you get more control while you're not swinging the racquet. This also adds to better recovery after hitting every shot. The end result is, the racquet feels lighter on hand when you're holding it. Upon doing full swings, the Astrox 99 PRO still produces the heaviest swing weight (power) in the series. Modified Frame for Larger Sweet Spot Despite having a compact head frame, the Astrox 99 PRO has a modified frame shape to enlarge the sweet spot. This makes it easier for players to hit the correct spot to produce the optimum power. It is also more user friendly compared to the previous model. I have been in the lookout for a new racquet after I broke my previous one. I am an intermediate player, and I mostly play doubles. After going through a lot of reviews I finally decided to bite the bullet and bought this one. It feels fantastic to hit the shuttle. You can immediately feel the power when you hit your smashes. It is also pretty good for your net play. I feel like the sweet spot is quite larger as well compared to my previous racquet. And on top of that this racquet looks really amazing with the white and black colours. People in the socials who I usually play with also had a little bit of try with this one and they all love how amazing the racquet feels. Highly recommend.

I haven't found many online reviews anywhere regarding this specific racquet. After purchasing it, I can say that it is definitely worth the price and I feel like the Duora 99 is getting slept on (meaning you can't find many people talking about it in general). It stacks up well and is more affordable compared to other high-end racquets, especially in the Duora line. I found it good for smashing, yet it's still maneuverable enough to defend against quick-oncoming attacks (most likely thanks to the Dual Optimum System). Also, I wanted to say that the shipping and product quality was excellent. It came in fast and had no damage. I say this as other badminton shops I purchased from typically give me damaged racquets (paint, scuffed, etc.), so I was very pleased to see ... MoreI haven't found many online reviews anywhere regarding this specific racquet. Always a fantastic experience shopping from Badmintonclick. Customer service is always responsive and helpful. Also have the peace of mind with the warranty and standard of quality purchasing from an official store. This racquet is by far the most top end and top notched performance I have experienced. The design concept is cool: White Tiger lol, power is just seamlessly effortless! So far Yonex products have never disappoint. I would still recommend getting professional advise from the click team if you're not sure if this is for you though.

Yonex Astrox Flash Boost FB is a good valued & lightweighted racket. The strung weight of racket is around 78g. For my idea, I would like to buy a lightweighted racket for my wife or daughter. They enjoyed to play with this racket becuase of lightweighted and easy to handle. It will be a great choice if it can come with a free cover.
I ordered two Yonex racquets from Badminton HQ, to string them for a good club player who was down to his last racquet. They arrived early evening the day after I ordered them, despite my choosing standard delivery. The price was the best I found. The service was outstanding. Badminton HQ will definitely be my first stop for any future needs. I don't use these racquets myself, but the player using them is playing at a very good club level, close to county standard. He finds the Astrox FB meets his needs - a racquet that performs well but doesn't cost too much.
When I smashed this racket from the backcourt, it felt terrific compared to my Yonex Astrox 88D Pro, which I presently use for doubles. The power of this racquet is a beast that the power assist bumper assisted me in smashing swiftly as the shuttlecock reached the sweet spot of the racquet; when it comes to defence, it was appropriate for the weight when I guarded it quickly. Control is adequate for nets, drops, and clean shots. It is highly suggested for someone who enjoys smashing and has good badminton technique.Rating:Power - 10/10Control - 9/10Speed - 9/10Handling and Feeling - 9.5/10Total: 37.5/40
I like head heavy rackets and I watched many reviews of this one, where people stated they felt it was very heavy. To me with this 4U I think it's perfect. I wouldn't want it any heavier as this is a great mix of speed and control. I had been playing with a lighter head racket and it actually gave me shoulder pain and I was missing the shuttle due to swinging too quick. I got the light racket to play doubles as I assumed I would be better off but I was wrong. This racket is perfect for me and can use it for doubles too with no problems. Definitely reccomend the BG80 power strings with this (mine are at 26lbs and feels amazing)I have to give a massive thank you to the stringer at badminton HQ as this racket has a different hole pattern and can cause twisting if not ... MoreI like head heavy rackets and I watched many reviews of this one, where people stated they felt it was very heavy. But this came to me perfect so 5/5 for BadmintonHQ all round from ordering to delivery.Hope this helps someone that's considering this racket with their decision. You won't be disappointed.
This is my first heavy head racket, it took me few hours to really get the hang of it.White Tiger colour is just so clean! Love it!Definitely not for beginner, would recommend someone with some experience and basic skill in badminton.Had a chance to also compare side to side feel with Z-Force II, I would much prefer 99 Pro over the Z-Force II, but again its subjective to player playing style and skill. Also Badminton Click stringing is just amazing!
Bought this specific Yonex based from a playing mate recommendation and also the characteristic would fit my playing style. After using a couple of time I found the racket not what I thought. It is heavy and poor recovery. The shot was not that devastating though I am known for hard hitter. Overall it is a disappointing racket. The reason I am purchasing a V Ling racket now.
If I could give it a 4.5 rating, I would! This racket is amazing! It's light and quick but still has a good hit power. It's an absolute pleasure playing with it.Our rackets arrived super quick and through the website, it was very easy to understand in what areas the racket would perform its best. That really helped me make a more informed decision. The only reason I rated it 4.5 instead of 5 is because I was expecting to get a racket cover (or just a racket head cover) with it as well. Since it's a high end and expensive racket, I was sure that would be a given. But nevertheless, the service was amazing :)
