Light and maneuverable with a dialed in head size for the modern game, the Yonex VCORE 98L (285g) tennis racquet gets a makeover with the 6th generation of VCORE. Yonex has updated the racquet head to incorporate the forgiveness and power of its classic Isometric head shape but with a wider upper. This creates an even more forgiving sweet spot where players make more contact with the ball and promotes extra string movement for more spin. The beam width in the upper half of the hoop is 3% thinner providing players with more racquet head speed and feel through contact. The new frame construction features a transformation (2G-Namd Flex Force) of Namd graphite. The result is a racquet that delivers a lot of feel with plenty of extra flex and snapback for maximum spin potential. Improving string movement and snapback, Yonex has included its unique String Sync Grommets at 12 and 6 o'clock to let the main strings move in sync. Vibration Dampening Mesh in the racquet handle mitigates unwanted vibrations while Aero Trench and Aero Fin Technology continue from previous generations to reduce air resistance. Overall the Yonex VCORE 98L (285g) tennis racquet is a perfect option for a wide range of players from beginner to advanced that want maneuverability or a stock frame that can be fully customised.

I love this racquet. I like to play heavy forehands, the one-handed backhand with variation, and serve with spin. This racquet is perfect for my game style. I play with hyper-g and it's a great combo with this racquet. I'm happy with this weapon, recently I have been able to defeat players 5.0+ (Probably I will buy another one to forget about racquets lol) Overall- great racquet for heavy strokes and spin with control

I’ve played Yonex for most of my adult life. This racket has given me the confidence to hit out on my forehand. Very solid, great feel, there’s nothing I can’t do with this stick. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite racquets I've hit with. I'm a 4.0 player, and have gone through around 5 different racquets over the years (I normally play with a choice for one to two years before trying out another), and this was an immediate win. Fantastic and whippy to get my one-handed backhand around quickly, and for speedy forehand returns, drop shots, and slices. It's a dream.

It has power spin and control... Everything you need in a racquet !Feels like a 97 to 98 sq inch head.Swings fast through the air ... Would not recommend this racquet to players 4.5 and below.
Ordered the yonex vcore 26 inch online for my 9 year old son who's playing competition and tournaments and was moving up from the 25 inch version. He loves the extra power and control he has and is loving the new look too with the blue strip!Service was great from tennis warehouse on the phone who delivered this during lockdown and would buy from them again.
Switched from Babolat Pure Drive after 14 years. Looking for more control and accuracy, and I found it with this racquet. Took about 45 days to get used to the feel. Pinpoint accuracy on volleys I never had with Babolat. Great for grounds strokes, especially my one handed backhand. Three months later, I am so glad I made the switch.
Tim was super helpful and friendly. I explained my tennis level to him, showed him my old racquet, then let him guide me. He is obviously well versed in the sport, and helped me choose a great racquet, which was well within my budget. Definitely will be shopping here in the future!
Very good experience. The racquet has plenty of power, perhaps not quite as much as the Federer Wilson racquet but it’s more maneuverable than the Wilson and doesn’t give up that much power. The racquet is very comfortable on the arm and gives a very nice feel off the strings. I strung it at 54 lbs with Luxulon Alu Power.Very happy with the racquet
I recommend demoing this racquet first - somebody on a public court was kind enough to lend me his VCore 98 to try out - very happy to have tried it.When you hit your first ball with this racquet, do not be surprised to miss hit long. It is stiff, and very whippy and as a result, difficult to control. But once you get dialed in (roughly 30 min., yes, I've exceeded the half-an-hour mark on public courts to get dialed in) it is a great racquet.Serves: if you hit flat mostly, this serve is still achievable with good pace, but don't be surprised to add a little spin on your flat, naturally. The selling point was the second serve. If you have a threatening second serve (kick), seriously consider this racquet because you will be surprised as to how much spin and pace ... MoreI recommend demoing this racquet first - somebody on a public court was kind enough to lend me his VCore 98 to try out - very happy to have tried it.When you hit your first ball with this racquet, do not be surprised to miss hit long. Excellent stability.Groundstrokes: Good if you like to add spin. I've also noticed you can routinely sustain a good rally with ease as this racquet slices the air like butter. No noticeable instability.Volleys: have not tried due to time constraints, however this is a maneuverable racquet (judging from the groundstrokes) and I imagine it would be stable on impact, and controllable.
I have been using the Ezone 100L and thought it was a good racquet for me as an older player. The Vcore 100L feels lighter even though both are 9.9 ounces unstrung. I did feel like I got more spin and could swing easier on all shots.
