I tend to only use the 2.5s as I had been using heavier at the gym for a while but these were the heaviest I could get for home use and they still pack a wee punch when doing quicker, higher reps. The coating on them is great for a comfy, non-slip grip and they don't roll away when you place them down to do other exercises.I tried using the full case as one big weight, which was good for a heavier challenge, but awkward to hold for over head lifting with the handle only on one end. bought this for my son who is recovering from open heart surgery, he loves them and uses them as part of his exercise routine his physiotherapist is happy with him using them at home, with the restrictions due to COVID he can't go to a gym or to see his physio in person yet, great substitute, great product and in a carry/storage case, perfect for home use.
