The square shape of the lipstick truly helps in contouring the lips for an optimal result (in the photo posted, I hadnt used this technique yet, as I wanted to test the color ASAP!). The consistency is perfect, matt finish but the lips stay hydrated. No stickiness whatsoever. It's not "kiss proof" but I tested the durability by eating an oily lunch and it stayed in place well. I only had to quickly retouch the internal part of my lips. For non greasy meals I can see it staying perfectly on. It doesn't migrate and the color is a true, perfect, red. I’ve been using this lipstick for years now and it applies so smoothly and soft with the pointed angle. Has that signature YSL lip look where the lines of lips tug tightly creating a blurry effect while also creating a plump lip effect. It smells so good to like a magnolia tree or jasmine tree. It is very lightweight and long lasting. On the lips, it looks super luxurious and seductive. A little also goes a long way. I am going to purchase their other new matte lip products as well!

The first thing I noticed about the Slim Glow Matte was how easy it swiped on; it didn’t feel as heavy, cakey or dry as matte lipsticks often do. I have a love affair with matte lipsticks, and this product has quickly become one of my favorites. Even though the lipstick is technically matte, it has a super creamy, hydrating feel and gives a soft, velvet-like glow when applied. While the formula is amazing, the color is what really hooked me. Rouge Pur Couture is truly the perfect. It looks like a played-up version of my natural lip color and the red wine. To say I’m obsessed with this would be an understatement. Instead, it went on as easily as a balm or gloss without any finessing required. Recommend it

Comfortable and Helpful Product Design

I was pleasantly surprised with this lipstick. Most mattes I wear are drying and make my lips feel uncomfortably dry, but this one was a bit more comfortable to wear. I got this in Psychedelic Chili and expected some staining after wearing the product but it really didn’t stain too much (disclaimer: I do put on a primer under matte products so that may have helped prevent staining). I will say that it is not super long lasting, but that’s to be expected with a lipstick.The packaging is gorgeous and functional. Forever Lasting!

I've never imagined that such a creamy lipstick can be so pigmented yet durable! It lasted through dinner and drinks, 6h of wear and not even a single re-applying! I'm SO impressed. Smells like raspberries (very subtle), very lite formula yet strong cover, creamy and feels like lip balm. My lips were dry yet when I put it on it wasn't patchy. 100% recommend, don't sleep on this red lipstick, it's the perfect colour!

Gorgeous shade

I recently received Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick - 416-Psychedelic Chili from bzz agent to try and review and I absolutely love it! This shade is a deep red and gorgeous shade that complements my skin tone. By the way my skin tone is light to medium, but I think this would go well with every skin tone. Which is really rare when it comes to a red shade, especially a deep red. I honestly don't usually choose reds because I struggle with finding shades that pair well with my skin tone, but i absolutely recommend trying this one. So luxe!

The colour name and description are a bit misleading. It's a coral that isn't scary bright, but rather a lovely wearable pop of colour. It's super pigmented so one layer is plenty. The comfortable matte formula isn't drying and lasts all day, unless you have oily noodles for lunch. The stain it leaves behind is still decent if you forget it at home and can't reapply. The sharp edges on the bullet are awesome for precise application, but it takes a second to get used to.I would never pay $50 for lipstick so getting it half off was not an opportunity I wasn't going to pass on. This is the boujeest lipstick I own and I love it so much, I might consider paying full price!

I wore shade 416 the other day without any makeup (see attached picture) and it made me feel so confident and beautiful. The pop of color is gorgeous for my skin tone (Mac NC45) and I love the lightweight feel of the lipstick, especially during these drier months when you don't want something really heavy and matte on your lips. While this is advertised as a matte lipstick, it's truly not. There is some residue left and it will smudge after one application - if you're ok with that, then this lipstick is perfect for you. she's fancy

This is a beautiful product, from the slim gold packaging to the angular bullet of deep red lipstick. The lipstick itself glides on beautifully and wears well. It feels expensive-which it is- and would make a beautiful gift. It is worth mentioning that the lipstick has a strong fruity-floral scent like most YSL lip products seem to have. If you already own a YSL lipstick, you know the scent. I personally like the scent but if you have allergies or hate scented lip products you won't get along with this one. Overall I am happy to have this as a beautiful treat. It isn't something you urgently need to rush out and buy but it is a nice extra if you have set aside money for a posh lipstick.
