This Lens Cleaning Kit from ZEISS is a complete solution for cleaning valuable optics such as camera lenses, eyeglasses, telescopes, or spotting scopes. Both wet and dry cleaning tools are provided. For blowing dust off an optical surface, the air blaster can be used, while the retractable lipstick-style cleaning brush can dislodge more stubborn dirt or dust particles. When a thorough wet cleaning is required, a 1 oz bottle of cleaning fluid or ten, individually-wrapped pre-moistened lens wipes are available. Designed for single use, these wipes come in individual, disposable packets. They can be stored in a camera bag, glove compartment, studio, or lens case for whenever they may be needed. The non-abrasive, 7.1 x 7.1" microfiber cloth can be used after applying fluid or one of the pre-moistened wipes in order to complete the cleaning process and ensure that no streaks or spots remain. It can also be used on its own to effectively remove smudges.

The cleaning fluid and cleaning cloth did a great job on my lenses. The brush is good for removing dust that settles in crevices on the camera body. Only nit pick, a few bristles fell out and it's a bit cheaply made. The blower is small which is good for travel, but lacks enough force to be effective for sensor dust. I prefer cleaning the sensor with cleaning fluid and sensor wands. The pouch is nice, but don't expect extra room for packing any more supplies. I would have given it five stars if the pouch was larger and the brush was better made.

This is my first lens cleaning kit so I have nothing to compare to. That being said I do like this kit. Yes its from China, can we please get over that fact. Yes Germany would be better but oh well. The pouch is certainly the cheapest looking part but it still works just fine. I recommend storing the air pump with the nozzle inserted in reverse for a better storage fit in the bag. There also seems to be lots of confusion with the image in the B&H site....it is wrong it does not look like that at all. I have added photos from this year 2020 August to show What I received and how it looks. Main things are the case looks cheaper, The nozzle is solid white/fat, the pump is a darker blue with outwards grooves, and the brush is more rectangular instead of lipstick round. ... MoreThis is my first lens cleaning kit so I have nothing to compare to. I quickly picked this item out as an add-on to my lens purchase. I certainly didn't do my typical level of research before buying, so that's on me. So far as kits go, it is probably sufficient, but I should have picked out a few of the cleaning accessories individually. I don't think ala carte pieces would necessarily save cost or come in a nifty pouch, but I would have got a more what I was looking for. Also, I didn't really think about it at the time, but I really don't like the idea of having a bottle of solution floating around my camera bag. Stuff happens.I will probably return this item

As much a lenses cost we must keep them clean and who better to help us do that than one of the big lens manufacturers ........Zeiss !I carry this kit every where my camera goes. A very handy kit to keep close for cleaning the lens of sensor .
This lens cleaning kit has everything you need you clean your lenses - a soft brush, bulb air blower, cleaning solution, microfiber cloth and cleaning wipes for fast cleaning. All this in a nice carrying case to keep everything in one place. Very handy to keep in your camera bag or on the closet shelf. Used this to clean a circular polarizer lens that had been put away for a while - it cleaned up nicely, ready to be used again.
This may not be the best value as one could most likely save some bucks by searching and buying each item separately, but I doubt value is the objective on a purchase like this. It conveniently collects a variety of cleaning implements together and provides a nice pouch to keep them together. The other appeal to Zeiss owners is the logos on the pieces and parts. It is a nice gift item for any Zeiss owners you may know. The pouch is approximately 6 inches tall, 4 5/8 inches wide and about 2 inches wide at the base. It tappers down near the top. The black material is a nylon mesh. Construction seems good. The blue trim is not quite as bright as what is in the web page photo so it is a closer match to the Zeiss blue. The pouch has two small internal storage areas, one on each side, for the Zeiss cloth and the disposable wipes. The cover is held closed with Velcro. Included are a bulb, colored a darker blue with Zeiss molded in the side. A retractable brush with Zeiss labeled on the side, a Zeiss cleaning cloth, Zeiss cleaning fluid, and 10 disposable Zeiss Cleaning Tissues. Replacements can be obtained in bulk and conveniently at @ or from B & H but those are labeled Zeiss Lens Cleaning Wipes. I am not sure if they are exactly the same. All the items appear to be functional in cleaning lenses. I believe this is product from the camera lens side of Zeiss rather than the sport optics side, but it should not make any difference in how it is used. There is an almost 3 1/2 minute video on YouTube titled Carl Zeiss Lenses - High quality cleaning for optical surfaces that shows how to clean lenses using the kit. The user name is Carl Zeiss Lenses. There is enough room in the pouch to add a Carson lens cleaning pen (CS-10) (also sold by B & H #CALCP). It is a nice convenient package of the basic items needed to do a quick cleanup of camera or binocular lenses and the logos should appeal to proud Zeiss owners. The cost of the kit was trivial compared to what it cost for the Zeiss binoculars!!!
All is fine besides the fluid. It leaves streaks unless you semi-aggressively wipe and wipe and wipe. In contrast, distilled or deionized water with a micro fiber works far better and is 30 cents per gallon. Even if you get finger prints on a lens or filter the distilled does a perfect job. I will be pouring out the fluid that came with the kit and putting in distilled or deionized water.
This is the first not amazing experience I've ever had with Zeiss, but this kit isn't great. The nozzle on the bulb pump works its way loose while using, its never come off but I have had to push it back in several times. the real issue is the plug on the back, There is a nickel sized plug, with a one way valve on the back of the pump. Issue the first, is that it isn't a large enough valve to allow air to come in through, and you still get that high pitched whistle of air coming back in the nozzle (which I don't really care about, but why is it there if its not doing something). The second, and biggest issue is that after a couple pumps it falls out, rendering the pump useless until its reinserted. I'm going to try and rubber cement it in or just trash it and buy a ... MoreThis is the first not amazing experience I've ever had with Zeiss, but this kit isn't great. I expected better from you Zeiss, but i'll stick to your lens wipes and cleaning solution from now on.
This is a surprisingly and disappointingly low quality item given the 'Zeiss' name. I already use use Zeiss pre-moistened lens wipes for my eyeglasses, and those are fine but there are only 10 in the pack. There's a lens brush, an item I never use as they tend to put as much dust on a lens as they take off, a poorly made blower that has the habit of coming apart when being used, an unremarkable microfiber cloth and a bottle of lens cleaning fluid. Personally I use the excellent Giottos Rocket blower for dusting lenses and PecPads with distilled water or reagent grade methanol for deeper cleaning. Not recommended.
Been using this for some years now, always carry one of these kits when shooting on location. Except for sensor cleaning, it contains everything you need for your gear. The included cloth is good, and with the lens cleaner you can clean camera and lens, just spray a bit of the fluid on the cloth and clean the screens, rubbers and plastics. Great for removing grease and dust, without damaging the rubber cover. Definitely recomended.
