I bought this for my Cane Corso(also has seizures) Piper hoping it would helps her stay calm when people come over to our home. I noticed a difference as soon as we put the zen shirt on, instantly Piper was so chill a completely different dog. The biggest improvement was when she had a seizure the other night, usually when she comes out of a seizure she acts voilent (barking and racing around the room, fight or flight as vet put it) but this time she didn't do that she just walked around a little bit. I am ordering another one so we can have one always on her..

I've bought Thunder Shirts and other brands so I decided to give this a try. There is no actual opening to wrap it around your dog. You have to put it on like a human shirt which is very difficult (especially with an anxious dog). I can't even use it for my dog. I recommend Thunder Shirt over this brand any day. It's worth the difference in price.

We have purchased 2 of these for our nervous little shiba inu girl. While they seemed to bring her a certain amount of relief you can certainly say how happy she is to get this thing off at the end of any given day we may use it. Both of them have ripped wherever the thread is sewn, she looks like a hot little mess, but I think I'm still gonna order another one. Wish it came in red.

I brought the Zendog calming dog shirt for my anxious terrior cross.My dog is terrified of storms, especially thunder. When she has the calming shirt on, it relaxes her a bit.However it does not completely fix her anxiety, just takes the edge off.I purchased a small for her and it fits her great, plus it is easy to wash.
My dog has extreme anxiety so I wanted to try this. She is around my parents all day because they watch my three dogs but as soon as they come to my house she runs and hides from them. She will now stay downstairs but still doesn’t go near them. There are two websites on the package if you want to “learn” about their products that are no longer websites so there is no info to look up. It says machine washable but no where does it tell you the settings etc.
I have only used this vest for several days but the size is too big. My dog is a long legged jack Russel. It said to check the chest size before ordering and she has a 52 cm chest which put her into the large size. Against my instinct's I ordered the large and I am adjusting it to fit a little more snuggly. It is just one drug free option to calm a hyperactive dog.
I can't say if this product works or not because I unfortunately wasn't able to use it. My dog is 11 lbs with a 15" chest, well within the chart ranges for an extra small, but there was no way this thing was going on him from the front or from the back. He was a good sport and didn't struggle at all while I tried, it just doesn't stretch enough to get on a dog his size. Maybe if it strapped around the chest instead of having to slide on it would have worked out, but as it is I'll be returning it.
Doogie's prone to bad panic attacks and while he's come along way he still has some bad episodes. It was one particularly bad episode that pushed me to finding something, anything, to help. After the shirt arrived in the mail and Doogie got past the obligatory "OMYGOD! YOU GOT ME A GIIIIFT" celebration I was able to slip the shirt on.I honestly had my doubts; within the first 15 minutes he was still celebrating he didn't calm down even a bit. The only reason he wasn't stressed at that moment was because he got a gift. But it hit him he mellowed out like a light switch, he went from 200% to 10% energy and just laid down... The Velcro on the body just barely reaches the first Velcro strip. Movement is not restricted but I am unsure if it's too tight. It's very snug. his reaction seems fine he's wagging his tail. Any suggestions? He weighs about 34 pounds, didn't check his chest as I figured his weight was way too low for a large. Ordered medium. How do you tell if it's too snug?? Company response would be wonderful..
I wanted to love this. The material is awesome. The idea is great and it seemed practical. But my 10lb Chihuahua mix hated it immediately. She considered getting into it a form of assault. She has a tiny head and limbs but a disproportionately bigger muscular body. So it is not totally a miss by the company, but on my dog it fits like a sausage casing ie you have to get the dogs front legs and head into a small tight space. It stretches so it's likely on some small dogs it is perfect But I couldn't get her into it without a lot of effort so it was an epic fail on my part. She was all fight and no cooperation, and after finally getting it on her, I realized that it was a recipe to get bitten if it was actually storming and she was stressed.
