Bought 2 twin firm mattresses for my 3/5 yr old boys. This mattress is not firm whatsoever. It’s very squishy and you can feel every spring. I wanted to buy budget friendly mattresses for my kids since I know they will grow out of them quickly. But dang, I feel bad that they’re sleeping on these things. Even to add a thicker topper on them, I should have just bought a better quality mattress. Will be returning for sure!

This was sold on Wayfair as Zinus 10" medium mattress during Black Friday. It showed up when searching for memory foam mattresses. After it shipped it started showing as Zinus 10" Innerspring mattress. Its also complete garbage. Terrible for your back. After selling it through misrepsentation, Wayfair gave 20 dollars to compensate. Do not buy it unless you are very young with a solid back. Its not comfortable at all.

Box spring vs. slats

As someone with quite a lot of back problems and who has spent around the last 6 years trial and error-ing mattresses to see if they improve the issues, I can say this mattress is unequivocally amazing, especially for the price. So amazing in fact that my mother bought the exact same one to replace a mattress in her home too. I *loathe* memory foam (I’m also a hot-natured sleeper), so finding quality spring-form/coil mattresses seems difficult these days because it seems every mattress has some sort of foam material. In terms of firmness, I prefer a mattress right in the middle- firm enough to support my back, but not so rock solid that it causes stiffness, and soft enough that it kinda cushions around me without actually swallowing me and letting me sink in. The firmness of this mattress from Zinus will depend largely on if you use a box spring or slats. Mine sits on slats and it’s just slightly more firmer (but not uncomfortable) than my mom’s whose sits on a box spring. Same mattress, just different foundations. If you find this mattress a little too firm for you, try it on a box spring- I find it’s the perfect medium there. The shipping and unpacking were fairly smooth- it arrived quickly, and with two people you can get the large box to where you need it. I let it air out for the full 3 days like Zinus recommends.

Cheap base mattress

This mattress seems to be getting a lot of bad reviews. It's not comfortable as it is, but it is a $70 mattress and they show you what you are getting. You are getting a basic build your own comfort bed.The reason for getting this is because futon frames/mattresses are crap at this range and without coils a flat futon mattress can never be saved. So instead you buy this... this is a mattress that yes will need foam and comfort added, but it will always be savable.

I Trust Zinus

This Slumber 1 by Zinus 8 inch Tight Top Spring Mattress is comfortable. I layed it out on the floor, cut away the plastic and it immediately started to inflate. After 2 full days it inflated to a total of 7 and 3/4 inches thick. I placed it on my daughter's bed frame that already had wooden slats. My daughter suffers from arthritis and this Slumber 1 by Zinus 8 inch mattress is in her bedroom/ guest room. She has slept on it for two nights straight and she said it was comfortable and she didn't wake up with back pain. My son, my daughter, and I sat on this mattress last night. We watched 2 movies, each about 2 hours long. I have to say we were not uncomfortable. I am 132 pounds, my daughter is 120 pounds, and my son is 72 pounds. I knew this mattress would be comfortable because my other daughter has a Zinus mattress on her bed (going on 2 years now) and has had no complaints about her mattress. Her mattress is still in great condition. This matteress (for obvious reasons) can't be flipped over nevertheless, we haven't found the need to rotate her Zinus mattress. So I will assume the same goes for this Slumber 1 by Zinus 8 inch Top Spring Mattress. I know two facts about the Zinus twin size mattress, it can hold 200 pounds of weight and it lasts more than 2 years of consistent sleeping so far.

Its name should be comfort

I was looking for a good mattress to our guest bedroom, but at same time I need to stick to my budget. I didn’t want to compromise quality over price and I was able to do that with this mattress. There are so many good things about this product, first of all it is a high quality product. This mattress is really well built- it’s base is firm and the coil really well fixed, the batting is a mixture of materials such as polyurethane foam, rayon, polyester and olifin fibers. I chose the 10” twin size because it was ideal to the daybed that I have on my guest room. As I mentioned before there are many pros for this mattress- the way that it came to our home- in a box, super tightened in a plastic fold. The only assembly that my husband needed to do was cut the plastic with scissors- he make sure to follow all the instructions because the mattress was rolled under many pressure, so he need to be careful. After that we just watched it to inflate and and gain its original form.

Spring foam comfy mattress

This twin mattress by Zinus is a great bed for kids and for adults. We are currently using it in one of the kid's bedrooms. The quality is good, even though it arrived in a box. With regards to a good night sleep, it is surprisingly comfy. Over the years we have moved on from beds made with springs, as we prefer a springless mattress.This is a bed with springs internally, but has a pillow-top padding, as it is called by the manufacturer, for comfort. It's 10 inches in depth. A boxspring is not required, saving cost and room and also giving a low-profile bed, which makes it easier for young kids. One issue with mattresses with springs, is dust accumulating within over the years. However, as mentioned before, it is comfy as the top padding is a smart way to alleviate some of the concerns than previously made spring mattresses.Overall, this bed in a box is actually a worthy bed to consider. The internal top padding makes a big difference.

Very disappointed!

I had a Zinus mattress before, and I loved that one, so I expected the same quality, but NO. This mattress does not look like in the picture. It has never become 6 inches. It is hardly 5 inches, and it does matter when the ordered depth is already just 6 inches. Next, the mattress is not firm at all. Moreover, I can feel coils or whatever they are. The only solution of all this is to return the mattress and get another one. Very disappointed.

bad support

It described it can hold 250LB. However, I, a person less than 120LB, sit to the floor directly when I sit on the mattress on the floor.Feeling the coil is OK, it is not a big deal, I don't mind. But I cannot understand why the ~5in mattress with coil has that bad support. What a design it is. Don't most people sit on the bed before lying down? Good news is Walmart accepted my return because of the issue (The return picked up is "pick-up and destroy", feeling guilty on making waste...... )
