I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review.I ordered the zippo tire fast torch. I was happy to see that it is small in size as the idea of a torch is a bit intimidating to me. I like that it has an adjustable flame size and can be refilled with butane. It does not come with butane, so you must buy that separately in order to use it. I do not like that it comes with a prop 65 warning indicating that the product might have components that could lead to cancer or reproductive harm.

The only thing I didn’t realize was that you have to purchase butane separately. Overall it's a great product at a great price.

It's a nice lighter but with nerve damage in my hands and arms, it's hard to lite.Gave it to my adopted son and he just loves it.Would not recommend to anyone else that has trouble with hands.But it would B a great gift for anyone else.

This pistol grip style of lighter has a child proof mechanism in the handle that is near impossible to use, especially with my big mitts! In other words the lighter just doesn't work as designed. ZIPPO means a lot to me... we used ZIPPO lighters in the Marines for signaling; the shiny side like a mirror and the light from the flint spark could penetrate heavy fog, but this gadget fizzes.
The fire is ok, but, the user controls are awful. First, the fact that you can’t light the flame in soft flame mode really diminishes that feature. You have to light it in torch mode then switch it to soft flame. The grip safety and trigger on the lighter are poorly designed. This designer really needs to pickup a Colt M1911 to see how these controls should be. The grip safety is way too short. Have to hold lighter in an odd position to depress the safety. The trigger is mounted so that it moves on a 45 degree angle instead of straight back. All this makes it impossible to hold the lighter in a natural position while using it. I don’t recommend this lighter.
I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. My husband and I like making crème brûlée at home, and this torch is the perfect size for flaming the top of the sugar coating. It is small and powerful! It doesn't come with butane, so I ran out to the store to get some and it works perfectly. It will be great for helping start outdoor fires in the fire pit as well. I'm very happy with this torch!
This torch lighter is VERY difficult to light. It has a child proof feature in the handle that makes it nearly impossible to light. This lighter doesn't have a stay on feature either, and since most torch lighters are used for non-smoking applications (soldering, etc) they should all have that option. I've used ZIPPO products all my life with total success. That was the old days. Un-zip the Zippo!
Once you are able to get it lit, I was very impressed with the velocity of the flame and also the adjustable flame control. The only gripe that I have is the shape of the trigger and the safety of the back engagement,you basically need to use two hands to combine the trigger and the back button. The only fault.

Overall I liked the product. I like to go camping and it will help me lit the fire very quickly. It holds a huge amount of heat. It is also adjustable. The trigger is kind of small. If you have huge hands it may be slighlty harder to hold and lit but not a big deal. It works great though. It does what its supposed to do. Can even use to shrink the tubes.

I realized this torch will be the right size for relighting the pilot light on our furnace, which frequently goes out on cold, windy winter nights. I used to struggle with a grill lighter but I think this will do the trick nicely. It does not come with butane, so you do need to purchase some before you can try out this torch. I am also excited to try it for f some flambé desserts!
