They are an excellent crappie bait because they can be retrieved even at a very slow speed, but the tail still gives a great action. if I retrieve other grubs at a slow rate the action is gone, and you are just dragging the bait thru the water. besides the action they are almost indestructible and last a long time. They sink very slowly so they can be counted down to the depth desired.

I’ve always used curly tail grubs since the 80’s. But thanks to Zman, I’m able to still fish these baits with confidence knowing that they’ll catch fish after fish and last 10x longer than regular plastic lures.
I have investment a small fortune in z-man products in the last year and I absolutely love the results! I do a lot of River fishing in NC and when all others fail I turn t z-man and usually catch more than my fishing buddies! These grubs are great for River smallies!
I love these Z MAN grubz they are the best grubs I've fished. They come in a bunch of top notch colors and they last forever, not to mention the action of them is killer. I typically catch 20 to 30 fish on These grubs when glued on the jig head with super glue gelThey are the only grubs that match Yamamoto action which last about 2 fishThe fact that you can’t get them around normal plastic is a pain and they can’t be dyed, but I am using them more and more
These Zman baits are very soft and retain their flex even in cold water. Zman appears to be the toughest bait in the water. Once on the hook they can be counted on to produce fish after fish before requiring retirement. Your tackle bag can be much smaller and lighter that with conventional grubs and swimbaits.
The toughness and durability of the material makes it economical, and along with a drop of superglue keeps your bait in the water. This stuff also flexes very easily and that gives lures realistic action that catches fish. You do need to keep them separate from other plastics to avoid destructive vhem8cal reactions. That's the the only downside I have found, but it does demand attention.
