It's definitely a luxury but I can't imagine being without it now. I weigh leaves but getting the temp just right is often challenging. Having water always ready at exactly the right temp mproved so many teas I was already enjoying.

I love my zojirushi water boiler.I drink 6 cups of green tea a day.The zojirushi boiler gets my tea to the exact steeping temperature. My tea taste so much better using the machine.I am lost without it. The machine is a must for anyone who is serious about brewing a great tasting cup of tea

This Zojirushi water boiler was given to us as a gift. At first, I didn't know what in the world we needed with a water boiler. But, I have fallen in love with it! Yes, it's easy to boil water on the stove with a kettle, but when you have little ones that are distracting it is very easy to boil a kettle dry! Having this water boiler has been so convenient. I can immediately put hot water in my tea pitcher and steep it for 5 minutes. That compares to waiting several minutes for water to boil on the stove top...and getting distracted by the kids in the meantime. It is also very handy for Miso soup or cleaning with hot water. It's there and handy. I do wish it had a larger basin to hold more water. Seems that I am always filling it up. Recently upgraded from Zojirushi's CW-PZC22, and I am glad that I did! The CD-WCC30 has many updated features including digital thermometer, slow and normal water dispense speed settings, and multiple temperature options when set to "keep warm". Also the 3.0 L CD-WCC30 is approximately the same size as the CW-PZC22 while holding 0.8 L more water. The stainless steel and black construction also aesthetically matches my other kitchen appliances more. Overall happy with my purchase!
I think the hot water dispenser is a great idea, however, this dispenser did not work for me. First, it takes a very long time to heat up. Second, the water is not hot enough. And once it does reach a hot temperature--it cools immediately. Neither my oolong or black tea was satisfying. I have a coffee pot that has more accurate temperature settings and boils water hot enough and lasting for that perfect cup of black tea. Sorry, just did not satisfy me for my perfect cup of tea.
This is exactly what I had wanted. It has an easy to read digital display of the selected temperature and plays a tune when the water is done boiling. The default temperature is ideal for drinking immediately. The cord attaches magnetically. I would prefer if it was retractable to reduce clutter on my counter. I love that once I'm done my cup of tea, I can easily make another without having to boil another kettle of water!
This our 1st warmer & we love already. My wife loves her hot tea. Hot/warm water always ready for her. Fantastic!
This is one of the few water boilers not made in China, which is already a huge plus. And you cannot go wrong with Zojirushi. Boils the water incredibly fast, exactly to the right setting and then keeps it there. Quiet, does not add steam to the room, well insulated. I love it and have been drinking more tea as a result.
Like the simplicity of operation, the efficiency in time and energy cost, the tunes that announced the end of the boiling cycle and timer setting. Well love everything. I can have my tea, cook my oatmeal, do my miso instant miso soup. Cooked my ramen noodle. In the future thinking to use micom to blanche some vegetables like spinaches.
I love this thing. The footprint is roughly the same as an electric kettle so it isn't using up more counter space. Really, you're just displacing when the actual boil happens. You still have to fill it the same amount, it takes the same amount of time to come up to temperature (but then stays there). The difference is, you're just expending a little extra electricity to move the boil time to sometime other than when you want your beverage. It is perfect! No more waiting for the boil when you want a cup of tea!
