So when I decided to get a food jar, I knew exactly which company that I would buy the product. There were multiple colors and a few sizes to choose, and the one that I landed on is perfect! Quality of build, appearance, ease of disassembly and cleaning and its thermal performance is impressive. Last week on a cold winter day, I had a delicious hot lunch thanks to Zojirushi.

Excellent little thermos! It's a little bit more difficult to clean than, say, a stainless steel water bottle, as there are a couple gaskets which are a bit fussy.However, if you don't mind spending 5 minutes hand-washing it after each use (and once you've figured out how the pieces fit together) it's really a pleasure to use. Keeps food, especially soups and other meals with a liquid base, hot for hours. Seriously, my soup was uncomfortably hot 3 hours after I put it in. Wow!It is a bit smaller than I expected, so I'd recommend sizing up if you can. The 17 oz one is a good capacity for a single, medium-sized lunch (of hearty soup or pasta).
