The shorts flotation devices have three main purposes: For beginner to intermediate swimmers, the main factor that prevents them from swimming faster is their lack of core stability and kick. Their arm strength and technique are generally good, but they have poor body positioning, which creates a lot of resistance and "dead weight," making efficient swimming much more difficult. The shorts floatation devices place the swimmer in the correct horizontal and aerodynamic position, which helps them build a "neural model" of how they should feel in the water. It also allows the swimmer to focus on a more efficient leg kick and glide with each stroke, without that "sinking leg" feeling. The extra support also allows the swimmer to focus more on their stroke technique. Results have shown that over time, a swimmer's body position, speed andendurance can be significantly improved by training with a floatation short. Suitable for all triathletes, regardless of their level, who wish to refine their open water swimming technique in a pool. Swimming in a wetsuit during a triathlon is very different from swimming without a wetsuit during a swim race. The majority of your power must come from your upper body while your legs and core provide the essential control. These shorts help you develop your open water swimming technique when you're in the pool, where wearing a full wetsuit would either be too hot or prohibited by the lifeguards. Use during open water training or races as an alternative to a full body suit (when the water is warm enough!).

They looked fine but my fault I ordered the wrong size. I'm in the middle of med/ large with most clothes manufacturers. I plumped for med as I know they need 'to fit '. Too tight compared to me wetsuit . I've returned and asked for large 🤞.

The shorts are comfortable even for longer swims. The additional buoyancy is adequate for someone with pretty good technique and reduces the 100m time by a copule of seconds in my case. The sizing is as stated on the website. I bought two pieces of these shorts and one of them came in what appeared to be replacement packaging, although no information about this was made available anywhere.

I bought the pants for open water swimming. I've tried it in the pool and I'm super happy. I was looking for two things. A little warmth on my legs to swim at 20 degrees and raise my legs. Both target have been met. I have several Zone3 products (Swim Run suit, Aspire as open water neo, Neo hat and neo gloves) and as always, great quality. Very happy again with these pants.Highly recommended.

Fantastic purchase. I swim 3 times a week, but I am no professional. Went from doing 12 lengths fc without a break to 24. Worth every penny. Feel more streamline. Buoyancy defiantly works. Bought a large size and I am a 36 waist (uk). Fit perfectly.
Fantastic shorts, great fit! Only issue is drawstring should be longer as a pain to tie and also sometimes goes back into waist band. Wouldn’t stop me giving the product 5 stars, just a minor irritation that should have been sorted.
This was my first ever neoprene shorts purchase. Turned out pretty neat. Like the shopping experience, material, design-all good. Tried in pool - the swimming became more enjoyable. Recommended 10/10.
The Zone3 shorts are doing exactly what I wanted. They give me just enough buoyancy to get me to focus on and enhance my roll. They also allow me to concentrate on my pull. They fit great, even if a bit snug and are much better than a previous neoprene suit that added quite a bit of drag. These help nicely streamline my swim. They will be perfect for triathlons.
I bought the 3/2mm buoyancy shorts but don't notice much buoyancy and wonder if i should have gone for the 5/3mm ones.Go for next size up for fit. I'm normally medium but the large fit me OK.Waist draw string is badly fitted on my shorts as it is fixed at the back but not at the centre of the drawstring. One side too long, the other side too short (and gets lost!)Good service and good price as these were on offer when I bought.
True to size. Great I brought for my sea swim. I am disabled so have only use of 1 good arm I use these now as wetsuit for the colder temperatures and wanted these shorts to keep me in good position in the water with support.
Great product, really exceeded my expectations. I learned to swim in the sea wearing a wetsuit so when I would have to go to the pool do some lengths my body position was not great as a result I did not like pool days. These shorts give great buoyancy around my hips and upper thighs so my legs do not feel like they are dragging through the water. I look forward to pool days now. Slightly annoyed with myself that didn't buy them sooner.
