5 stars would buy again if they didnt literally last a lifetime. There was an problem with my the original order but Zwillings customer service promptly resolved the issue. Excellent quality and customer service. A sharp quality knife is not only joy to use when prepping/cooking but also way safer then a subpar lesser quality knife. A quick swipe on sharping stick keeps the edge.

The knife is just what I wanted but I waited for over two months to gave it delivered. This is the second time I have ordered these knives. The first time, after 6 months of waiting, I requested my money back, I don’t think this is a supplier problem. It’s a William Sonoma one. I ordered the same knives from Amazon and got them in a week.

Found our replacement Chef's knife. We have Henckel Chef's knife with a wooden handle. It needed to be replaced. Purchase this Zwilling knife & couldn't be happier. It has a great handle, perfect weight & cuts, slices, & dices with ease. If you are looking for an all around knife for food prep, i would reccomend this one.

I grew up in a Caribbean household so since a young age I’ve always been tasked with preparing the ingredients for a lot of our family meals. My mom is frugal,So she would never spend more than 20 on a knife. This knife is amazing. The moment I picked it up I felt a difference. It has a little bit of weight to it, nice grip and sharp. Cutting vegetables and meat is so smooth and easy to do now. It will barely feel like you are doing any work. I bought this on sales at Macy. This is hand down one of the best kitchen purchases I have made. Even if you can’t get it on sale it’s so worth it to get full price too.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Four Star Henckels knife set, including a 7-inch chef's knife, for 35 years. But I wish I had bought the 8-inch knife years ago. My son has a 10-inch chef's knife and it's a bit unwieldy. The 8-inch is perfect – perfectly balanced, useful for almost all cutting situations. My son actually has two of them, also. I have given many Henckels Four-Star knife sets as wedding gifts, typically with the 7-inch chef's knife. From now on I will try to include the 8-inch instead.
One of the essential tools of any kitchen! If you only have ONE quality knife, an 8" Chef should be that knife. And this particular one is made by a centuries old German knife works that will Never Let You Down. The four star line has the molded handle, and is easy on the wrist! Also easy to clean, and holds the edge like you would expect at this level of Craftsmanship.
We took a knife skills class at Sur La Table (highly recommend!) and after the class, I wanted to get knives for members of my family so they could enjoy too. This knife has a nice feel, a nice size bolster that is easy to pinch. Did I say it was sharp? Wow! My wife says it cuts like a hot knife through butter. Very nice!
