Recommended for experienced users; not recommended for beginners.

I have it on my own network, via both wifi and fixed ethernet, which makes operating it a breeze from indoors. It also makes accessing images fairly easy, as you can see it as a network drive, in effect. Cannot recommend this bundle enough. The build quality is superb. I have to point out, that in the 5 weeks since I bought it, I have had nothing but cloud, so have not got a single image, either with my DSLR setup or telescope. That sucks, but nothing I can do about it, but at least I can use my time geeking out on the AsiAir and other PC based apps. Stop dithering (!) and just buy one. You know you want to...

Amazing bundle

Blazing fast shipping

First, so glad to say that the shipping was super fast. The same day that I bought this item, was ready to pick up by usps.Regardless the kit, amazing quality. Easy to use and seems reliable. I was able to take an exposure of 6 minutes! With a 360mm Zenithstar Z61. No clear skies the last 2 weeks, so no more testing for me.Check the camera compatibility first, because you won't me able to squeeze 200% this guiding mini computer if your camera is not supported.Be advised, this does not brings a way to connect the asiair to the power. You need to buy an ac/dc adapter on your own.

Does not play well with PHS-2 and SharpCap in my setup

Cannot use it with PHD-2 as a guide camera while using an ASI533MC Pro with SharpCap. Sharp Cap and PHD-2 will not play nice with this combo. ASI120 Mini will not stay connected. Tried all the on-line suggestions, but no joy. Finally got QHY mono guide camera, which does play well with PHD-2 and SharpCap. Camera works great with SharpCap as a stand-alone camera, and works fine in PHD-2 if SharpCap is NOT running. But, if you are using PHD-2 with this camera and SharpCap with the ASI533, you will NOT like the result.

Good shipping speed. Great camera, use it for guiding. Worked flawlessly with PHD2 on my MacBook Pro. Instantly recognized it without a hiccup. Highly recommend this little gem if you want a no hassle setup with you rig.

Good value guiding package for small refactor

Bought this as a guide scope for my 72mm refractor (WO Megrez 72). I set it up in day time using the ASICAP software from the ZWO website to check all was working and to get rough infinity focus by adjusting the camera position within the miniscope. Fine focus was then achieved under the stars using the helical focuser. The only problem I had was that initially my PHD2 guiding software wouldn't recognise the camera (though it did recognise my other ZWO imaging camera). After updating to the latest version of PHD2 this problem was fixed. It was a little off-putting to see how much less sensitive/noisier the guiding output is compared to my imaging output, and I do wonder whether a 50mm guide scope might be a better combination with the ASI120. Light Weight Guide Camera Solution for Your ZWO Rig

This is the second ASI120MM mini I have bought. I wanted to build two scope rigs complete and not have to take apart to swap scopes. These are very sensitive and although usually just used for guiding, they can take very detailed images. Oddly, these mini guide cameras need to be slid out from the scope quite a bit to achieve focus. My Svbony 30mm has a lot of focus travel, so I may have to explore a closer connection. But for now it works great for guiding the RedCat51 on the AM5 mount. Looks good too. You can also use this camera as an electronic finder. Just designated it on the guide scope as the Main Scope, slew to target, plate solve to center, and use the main scope to view with an eyepiece. Very easy.

Much needed piece of equipment

Great little guide camera. The performance has definitely been worth the price. I hadn't been using an auto-guider when I first got started, but the difference is phenomenal. Instead of throwing out 1/3 or more of my frames, I throw out maybe 1/16 of my frames now. Couldn't be happier with this little cam.

We bought the ZWO mini Finder guider and ASI120mm - mini bundle as part of a portable rig that included the iOptron SkyGuider Pro, the William Optics RedCat v1.5, iOptron Ball Head, iOptron tripod and the ZWO ASIair Pro. We ordered all at the same time but were aware that some had a longer lead time than others. Throughout FLO were brilliant at keeping us informed and shipped some items earlier than agreed because we were still waiting for the tripod. Previously we have only used a GoTo Celestron 8SE so getting used to the small rig has required some effort but there are some great YouTube videos out there to help and we now we feel we can write a review of the components. FLO have commented that the mini guide scope can be tricky to focus, the focus zone is quite small and easy to overshoot. Luckily as long as focus is 'good enough' it won't really affect guiding performance, once you have it close you should be fine.
