Awesome Poly

I normaly use Wilson Revolve 16G on my 2 Yonex DR 98 and since I started playing tennis 5 years ago I use wilson poly strings. Few months ago I started looking for other string alternatives to experiment and find a better option. Durability and tension maintenance is really a plus for me cause I dont like changing strings a lot, I'm an ex profesional volleyball player and love to hit the ball as hard as I can plus I have a 130mph+ first serve. This strings really have a solid and a live feel, they are not like a traditional poly they really feel good on my stroke. I strung them at 56 pounds and the ball goes off my racquet like a mad man withs lots of spin, I really feel like I can control everyshot even doe I hit the ball with all I got.

Fantastic poly at low tension

I string my own racquets and I prefer co-poly's at very low tension. At 40 lbs on my HEAD Graphene racquets, the Volkl Cyclone 17 is a dream. So soft on the arm, lovely pocketing and control, and great power, but not too much power. And the SPIN! Wow. This and HEAD Lynx are my two favorite strings.

My new favorite spin/control string!

I am a die hard long time 17g RPM blast player. One day I read a really good in depth review of cyclone 19g saying how long it lasted and how good the tension maintenance was for a poly and started digging a little bit. I decided I wanted to try cyclone 18g as several sources said go one gauge thinner and I could get just as much spin as RPM blast and that the string would last a long time and hold tension very very well. THEY WERE RIGHT! I absolutely love this string. For the price it cannot be beat. It lasts very well, holds tension better than just about any poly i've played, and produces nasty, nasty spin. Soft yet crisp poly with good spin & at a great price
13 January 2019

I love these strings. I use them on the mains with a syn gut or multi on the crosses. They are about the softest poly I have found. They generate just as much spin as RPM Blast but cost much less, feel more crisp, are easier on my arm, and seem to retain their tension better. A good string for players with arm issues who want the added spin and lower power of a poly.

The thinner the better
15 November 2021

I have been using all kinds of thin poly strings, from 1.14-1.10) This Völkl Cyclone is the thinnest string and I love it. Even though it’s co-poly but it is still very arm-friendly. I had my racquets (Yonex Vcore 100L) strung low at 45lb. I’m very happy with this combo, so are my shoulders!

A modern poly with lots of feel, arm friendly, spin and power. Durability was also something to point out. Even thought I am using it in a pair of Head Liquidmetal 98 sq. in. with a very closed pattern (18×20) I have been using them for almost 5 months now, without breaking them and that is really a long time for 19g strings. Tension loss is minimal and I do added a couple of string savers a month ago to maintain tension. I do have a control old school pair of racquets but the strings added control to my game and they added the depth, spin and power I was looking for. Now I can fully swing my serves and groundstrokes without being afraid of hiting them long. If you use a closed pattern racquet and want to instantly add spin to your game, you should give this string ... MoreA modern poly with lots of feel, arm friendly, spin and power. This polys feel softer than traditional polys and won't fatigue your arm like harder polys do. Strung @55 pounds on Head radical liquidmetal raquets. I'm a 4.0 singles and doubles southpaw player with full swing groundstrokes and 2handed backhand. I'm 6'0" 180 pounds and have been playing for 25 years now. Hope this helps.

Two thumbs up.

Good price. Nice feel and grip. Comfortable on the elbow. One handed backhands were flying beautifully. Three hours into play they're feeling a little stiffer, but still great. Strung with Klippermate at 48 mains, 46 crosses on a Head Radical Pro Youtek. Highly recommend it. Great pop when hitting the sweetspot. Fairly forgiving when hitting off center. No elbow pain or shoulder. For $9, no brainer to at least try it.

Volkl Cycle have good control all around sting, and I like that they are soft on the arm. Good playing from the base line.

Have tried many strings, but first time I’ve tried anything from Volkl. These are feeling great for my game. Slightly softer than many of the big names, but still crisp.

Volkl string
26 December 2021

Volkl 19 is a very good playing string for the money. Doesn’t move and retains decent tension. If your a breaker than thicker gauge is needed. Better top on ball due to no string slippage also. I string my own rackets at around 44 and 42 on 100 in old prince hybrid hornets. Also played tennis in college.
