A very good padlock bought to use on our football pitches to withstand the weather, all of our other "weatherproof" locks have failed and crumbled eventually, but this one is still in good shape. Would recommend to anyone looking for a padlock that needs to withstand harsh weather conditions. Very strong sturdy lock mechanism and comes with extra keys which is always handy. The lock itself is super heavy also

Bought to replace a stainless steel lock with no plastic covers which had gone rusty very quickly outdoors on my shed. I've had this one for 6 months and the plastic is all nice and clean. No problems. Lock still operates smoothly and cleanly. It seems like the quality is worth the money

Cracking little lock this is. Fully waterproof and it?s been tested in the relentless rain Manchester. Through winter no less. I use mine for my garden shed.Really does exactly what you want. I didn?t realise it?s size when I bought it though, I?ll probably end up getting a bigger version of it for increased security but the smaller one is still faultless.I?d originally bought a different brand on Amazon for half the price but it just wasn?t actually waterproof even though it said it was. You really can?t trust the reviews on there.In conclusion, this lock does exactly what it says it should, it stays secure and is fully waterproof.

This is a lovely little padlock. I bought this to lock our outside cast iron gate because we had become fed up with the previous locks getting so stiff in the rain that we can't use them anymore.This seems like a much better bet because it is advertised as waterproof. (We seem to get a lot of water in Bolton)One point we found was that if the lock is open and left on the gate in the rain it tends to let water in. This because the black casing on the bars leave bare metal underneath. This is reasonable. The cure is to either keep it locked or remove it to a dry place. When locked it seems very waterproof.The lock works extremely well, feels very secure and is a very pretty colour.

Ideal for purpose. Weatherproof with a key entry cover to keep out moisture. My previous padlock kept getting difficult to open due to ingress of moisture leading to a stuck padlock. My padlock is on my back garden gate to prevent unwanted entry, and this padlock fulfills the task admirably. The general appearance is good and the color (blue) is attractive. The very inclement weather we have had over the last month has had no detrimental effects on the efficacy of this padlock. I highly recommend this product for all household security requirements.

We needed two strong long shackle padlocks to secure a heavy, metal exterior security grille that protects the bar fire doors overnight at a licensed premises. Because there are several key holders we wanted two locks operated by the same key for ease of use by all the staff especially when opening up and locking down in the dark. These ABUS Aquasafe locks are ideal being reasonably high security rated, of tough construction, weather resistant and keyed alike. Being keyed alike also saved us money on key cutting costs as each member of staff only requires a single key and, in addition, it helps to avoid over bulky sets of keys. The service from Safe was great with a website that was easy to use and very prompt delivery.

This product is ideal for using outdoors in all weather conditions. It benefits from a rubber protective cap over the key hole to prevent water and dirt getting inside. The shackle also benefits from a rubber covering to minimise water ingress from above. The locking mechanism is made from brass, thereby eliminating any possibility of rust and eventual seizure. My locks have been exposed to severe frosts over recent weeks and they have never frozen up due to the above features and the very thick outer body. Consequently, my key has always fitted into and turned easily in the lock, despite the sub-zero temperatures.

Having bought a variety of different makes of padlock over the years for outdoor use and repeatedly been let down by them, I decided to invest in some marine grade ones. I have to say these are fantastic. They are smooth to operate and seem really secure. The cover cap on the bottom makes them marginally less easy to use than conventional ones but it's there to improve the weather resistance of the lock so not an issue. Build quality is superb. There is no sticky latch that you get with the brass/chrome plated versions that end up going rusty. The lock and staple both fit the body nicely so no loose bits that seem to rattle. Yeah they're a bit pricier than standard locks but given how much I've spent on poorer quality units I consider it a worthwhile investment.

Over the years I've bought the standard brass padlocks that are OK but after a winter just don't work quite so well. Finally I thought stop buying poor quality and get something decent. So after a short google I found these guys who sold these ABUS marine grade padlock. Straight away you can tell the difference. They are really well made, come with a rubber key hole cover and "snap" together solidly and satisfyingly, hinting at the build quality and materials used inside. I bought 4 of them several months ago now and although it hasn't been a hard winter the locks show zero signs of weather damage. They are only a bit more expensive than standard brass padlocks but you get a much more superior quality lock. Will definitely buy more in future when I need some.
