I bought this to wear under the Venture XT jacket as a layering system for ADV riding. I felt the fit was a bit snug at first, but while riding it felt very comfortable. The material between the armor is very stretchy and fits like a glove and feels reassuring while riding. The elbow pads are very comfortable, I could barely feel them while riding. All of the seams where the fabric are sewn together are on the outside, so there is no scratchy or itchy feeling at all. Overall, I feel protected and comfortable while riding with it!

A great bit of kit

I originally ordered the XL size after checking my measurements. When the jacket arrived, it was too small across the chest and too short in the body. I ordered the XXL which arrived very quickly and I’m happy to say it fits great. Only had the one 5 hour trail riding session in it and it has performed perfectly so far. It’s not too bulky or restrictive and you do feel safer wearing it. I highly recommend the V2 protection jacket but would suggest you maybe choose the next size up to your usual choice. Looking forward to warmer weather ride outs on the trails and hope that with all the ventilation on the protection panels and the ‘mesh like’ fabric of the jacket itself, I will be cool and we’ll protected.

Awesome...but slightly small

Due to living in hot Florida I realized a left my mesh riding jacket home 90% of the time and went Squid. I wanted protection without being roasted.I found these jackets and tried one at a local store. Extra large fit great but wasn't the style I wanted so I ordered mine online.Pros:Quality of build is excellent. Looks amazing and is very cool to wear! I love it...but...Cons: the XL I got my mail fits like the L I tried in the store.It will work especially if I lose 5 to 10 pounds but they should strive for better size consistency.

Coolest full coverage hard outer shell protection jacket.

I am 6'0" 170 lbs. Long arms, avg shlder width, 42 chest. XL fits great. Elbow protection perfectly placed. Could fit wider shldrs &/or bigger chest. Hard outer honeycomb plastic is great. Inner foam pads are thin & wimpy. Jacket is lighter & cooler than comparable Fox or Acerbis jackets. Very good ventilation. Fabric is thin & might tear on stiff or thorny brush without a jersey over. Would buy it again.

Great Jacket, Need An XS

Okay, so overall I love this jacket. There are pros and cons, though. First of all, it came relatively quick. It came today and I took it out riding during the day and then again at night. It's comfortable in the heat and the mesh is stretchable. At night you'll want an extra layer because the cold air will hit your skin right through the mesh. I'm 5'4 and 120 lbs for reference, I got the small. It was/is the smallest size they have available even though normally I would opt for an XS version. So it fit like I expected. I like the velcro front, it holds well and isn't uncomfortable. Plus, my jeans go over it without a problem. The padding feels thick and protective, definitely made me feel better on the road. The shoulder padding is thick, I found I wasn't able to fully turn my head quickly while riding to check behind me without having to drop and turn my shoulder too. It is possible that's just due to my size. The fact that it is a zip-up is so convenient for easily taking the jacket on and off. Also, since the padding is literally attached to the material it can't shift around while you're riding. I really like it despite the couple things I've mentioned, though, and will continue to wear it every time I ride for the protection. Plus, you just look super cool when you put it on.

Great protection for summer riding months, female-friendly

This is such a great jacket for warm weather. Of course, it's less protective than a leather jacket but it makes me feel more comfortable than a full leather jacket. I live in Virginia where the weather is just starting to get warm. It's hot and humid in the summer, and I'm excited to have this as an option for riding in 90-degree heat & high humidity.I'm female and this fits great on me. Very snug. I have 40-inch chest and size medium.My one criticism is that the Velcro kidney belt sometimes slides up when in riding. Not sure if there's a way to fix that. I'd love for the back and/or chest protection to be removable so I can wear it under my leathers at the track. I saw another jacket similar to this one with that feature.

Honest Opinion

Listen here's the deal. This gear is great, but if you have any kind of gut or if you're carrying even just a few extra pounds in the midsection, figure something else out. This will not fit you regardless of what size you get. Dont kid yourself bud, you're not that 20 year old kid with washboard abs anymore. They'll try to tell you it will stretch out and fit, but you'll have a better chance getting into that pair of jeans from high school. Good luck with that zipper????

Fits well but tight. Looks pretty good. Low enough profile to go under a shirt but stretchy enough to go over the top. Read that another guy said the shoulders aren't adjustable. They are but aren't. They move with you. They can slide forward and backward with your shoulders. The honeycomb is surprisingly rigid. Furthermore there is a quarter inch of perforated foam under each pad that is firmly secured to the pad, if not glued. Padding goes beyond the armor so you never catch a corner. It's true this padding is ce lvl 1 but it's better than other ce lvl 2 I've seen. I'm guessing they had to rate the foam liner seperately. I would be comfortable having a full grown man punch me in the chest and back. No issues with hot spots. Ventilation is amazing. Lining doesn't ... MoreFits well but tight. Looks pretty good. Works Great!

Works great! I used mine out in the desert the week I bought it. I supermanned onto a gravel wash when I rolled into some deep sand on my adventure bike and the jacket did its job. The chest plate and elbow pads absorbed the bulk of the blow and were no worse for the wear.I'm 6'1" 215lbs and the XL fits well enough. I have long legs and arms with a short upper torso - so everything but the back pad (which is a little too long and catches on the the seat) fits perfectly. Only other thing I'd change would be making it washable. This is hot weather gear and Febreze only does so much.

I am 5'7" 194 lbs, wearing a size L here. Very stretchy material for the base layer. The armor itself is very rigid plastic, but conforms with a layer of soft foam between the padding and armor. It's still very comfy to wear. The waste belt and side adjustment loops allow for a pretty wide adjustability, however, the shoulders are NOT adjustable in any way, they are suspended between the front and back pieces with removable clips and elastic, but there is no adjustability as the features suggest. They did, however, improve on the elbow armor adjustability, and it's better than what's shown in the promotional picture. I'm happy to see they enlarged the chest armor and made the presentation a little less edgy. Still, I'm planning on wearing it under a jacket.
