This CPU is incredible. Its definitely a step up from my 5800x 3D. I wokld highly Recommend. The upgrade to AM5 is a little costly but its worth it in the long run.
Decided to sell my 7950X because I wanted to do full on gaming and no productivity. This processor doesn’t disappoint at all! Jt matches or best my 7950X in most of the games I play partnered with a -20 Curve optimizer and IT eats through anything!
Pros: Run faster than my 12600k, can be easily overclocked and even PBO gives it a good boost. Runs cold. In general worth way more than the 7700x. Did not used the included cooler but it seems decent.Cons: Could be cheaper.
The performance is incredible. Drawing 60 watts max, in games, while delivering 13900k levels of performance. No way anyone will regret buying this CPU for gaming. It does run pretty hot, but that seems to be normal for Zen 4.
This is the greatest processor ive ever used. It doesnt draw too much power, stays relatively cool and you can immediately tell you get what you paid for. Any bad reviews are intel fans or people mad about it being out of stock/scalped for a higher price.
I went from AMD to Intel with the 10900k. AMD and their pricing is ridiculous for what it is. These all chiplet based cpus shouldn't cost but half of what AMD is asking for it and it's all manufactured in Taiwan. Literally pennies on the dollar in labor cost no different than Chinese companies. AMD made a terrible choice increasing the price on these parts. Whoever made this choice at AMD should be evaluated. Rather it be the stockholders or chair members. Intel is now charging a decent price because of AMD finally. It wouldn't of happened if not for AMD.
The Good:It has 8 cores.The Bad:PriceyGaming performence just on par with i5 13600KThe ugly:The box the cpu comes with is extremely ugly. The color of the box is pretty bad compared to Intel. You will get much better package/box quality from Intel.Conclusion:The CPU itself is OK but the price for it should be at $249 instead of $449.
