After adding just the right amount of aquarium salt to my fresh water aquarium, I notice that my fish are more relaxed and are not as stressed as they seem before. They are active yet do not show any signs of aggression.\n\nThe amount of aquarium salt I placed is based on an estimate of water volume less the volume occupied by the substrate and plants(not equal to the volume of my tank). I do not want to put more than what is necessary.\n\nThanks Emcha Marketing and Lazada.

Treat aquarium salt as you would a medicine. Freshwater fish can benefit from small, occasional doses of salt, however, as their name suggests, freshwater fish are, well, freshwater.A true freshwater fish (such as betta, gourami, corydora, etc), can deal with small amounts of salt, and the salt can be beneficial in minor fin repair, and parasite eradication, however in large, prolonged doses, aquarium salt can wreak havoc on the kidneys. Too much of a good thing can hurt!I use this product as a first line of defense, if water changes don't suffice. It's best to use aquarium salt in a quarantine container, so as to provide a stress-free environment for your fish to go back to. I generally do ten minute "baths," and one tbs per gallon. If your fish shows any signs of stress, take them out immediately, and place them in a container of tank water. Do not attempt the bath again that day. If you want to try again the next day, half the dosage. Do not extend the time.

Healthier fish
15 June 2023

Using the Aquarium Salt has improved the overall health of the fish and aquarium. Minimal fish losses now - where I had struggled for 2 years with fish dying weekly before I started using this product. Even have babies being born and growing into full adults !!!

Helped with ick
2 January 2021

I ordered this product in order to help my new fish get rid of the parasite "ick". I used it in combination with an API treatment and I set the heater to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. It worked! I have live plants so I was restricted to only using a small amount. I treated the first time with just the treatment. Didn't work. After adding the salt and treating for ick twice, the problem resolved about a week later. About 4 months later, my Dalmatian mollies are doing just fine!

My fish were fine but not my snails
3 February 2021

So I remembered buying this a little while back for my fish just in case something went wrong and saw the reviews that people said it was "Safe for snails". I put some salt in my 10 gallon aquarium tank, I followed the directions (3 tsp is 1 tblsp is what I needed for my tank) and I put the salt in there right after I cleaned my water change and cleaning the fish tank. But the next day all 3 of my nails started to act funny and were not comfortable with the salt I added in the tank which I thought it could help them with brackish water. My betta and panda cory were fine but 1 of my small Blue Inca smalls died, my big Gold Inca snail is still recovering yet she floats more than she does traveling around the tank, and my Nerite snail is barely moving around the tank ... MoreSo I remembered buying this a little while back for my fish just in case something went wrong and saw the reviews that people said it was "Safe for snails". It worked fine with my fish but not my snails...I'm gonna have a separate tank to put my snails in so that way I'm able to treat my fish separately so my snails won't be so close to death.
